How can i delete my back-up on icloud

dear,
My name is Alex Cheung,
I had exchanged a white Iphone5 32G yesterday, the old one IMEI is **** ,and the new IMEI is ****.
Now I'm just done back-up all my information to new Iphone5 and i'm trying to delete my old information on my icloud, but it can not allow me to do so.
it is keep showing  "cannot delete backup" ----this backup cannot be deleted because it is in use.
But the old Iphone5 i had exchanged and returned to the "smartone Hong Kong" already, i dont even have the device with me, who else can use ?!
my old iphone5 name: Alex's IP    and   my new iphone5 name is Alex's WHT .
I would like to delete my old backup ( Alex's IP)
please help me to delete my old information on icloud.....just because this take about 1.3 GB on storage.

    Got the answer from some other posts - thanks.  But now that I have resynced, and if I am backing up to my Mac not the icloud how am I keeping the contacts in icloud current with my Mac and iPhone and Ipad?  As soon as I turn contacts to sync on my phone it is turned off in iTunes.  Still on Snow Leopard and I think that might be part of the syncing problem

    The most comprehensive delete method I know about is to delete the book from iTunes on the computer you sync your iPad with.  You'll be asked if you're sure, and it will be deleted from your iPad and any other i-Device you sync to.
    I think that's the best you can do.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    All backups made on iCloud overwrite the old one, so you have only the latest backup with your most recent files. If you have a backup of an old device, open Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Manage Storage, select the backup and delete that backup

    You can't hide it AFAIK on AppleTV - do it via iTunes.
    In iTunes elect the store home page, and choose Purchases in teh QuickLinks on the right.
    Choose TV Shows and hover over the one to hide and there should be a small x to hide it.
    If you need it back go into your actual account settings in iTunes and choose to unhide there.

    If you can't logout via Settings > iCloud > Sign Out (or Delete Account depending upon its iOS version) then you will have to contact the previous owner and ask him/her to remove the iPad from their account via http://www.icloud.com
