How can I delete off my computer but not apple TV

We use Apple TV on a daily basis and buy movies regularly. I have filled up my hard drive on my laptop. I would like to be able to delete the movies off my laptop but still have them on my AppleTV. The itunes account is tied to both Apple TV and my laptop. Anyone been able to do this?

you need to increase the storage on your laptop (be that internal or external storage).
if you remove something from itunes, it will also be removed from the appletv.
the appletv should only ever have copies of the content, and not the only copy.
the itunes library is the master location for all your media.

Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

You can set the timing for the display to turn off.
Try this:
Click:
Start.
Control Panel.
Hardware and Sound.
Power Options.
On the left bar you'll find Choose when to turn off the display.
At Turn off the display: there is a drop dowm menu to choose the number of minutes before the display turns off. Make your selection.
Try that and see if it works for you.

How can I delete photos from iPad but not iCloud?

Before setting up iCloud, my girlfriend downloaded photos from her camera to her iPad. We now have iCloud set up, but the photos on her iPad remain in the "Photos" album instead of Photo Stream. I would like to delete the photos from the iPad to free up storage space, and move them to the Macbook. I'm guessing that I would need to somehow move them to Photo Stream then delete the old album where they were stored on the iPad... Any ideas?

I used to have a Blackberry Torch & was able to just delete messages from my phone but they would still appear in my mailbox on my desktop. Now with the iphone 4s when I delete from my phone it deletes everything, everywhere.

The only way to erase it is to go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings

You might also want to have a look at the old winutil>Windows API Function Utilities (32-bit) for LabVIEW. While they are written in LabVIEW 4.0 (!), they still seem to work fine under W2000 and LabVIEW 7.0. In particular, have a look at "exit windows.vi" inside "winevent.llb" of the above link. It calls the function "ExitWindowsEx" of user32.dll. Since this is part of the OS, you don't need to include extra DLLs.
(All the above assumes Windows OS. I don't know how to shutdown the OS on e.g. MAC or linux.)
