HOW CAN I DELETE PICTURES FROM MY NANO???????????

I TRIED EVERYHTING,I CHECKED EVERYTHING,BUT I JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DELETE SOME PICS FROM MY NANO. I DIDN'T CHECK THE PICS BEFORE I TRANSFERRED IT TO MY iPOD,AND NOW I WANT TO DELETE SOME OF THEM.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I had the same problem as you. I was shocked to find some interesting pictures saved onto my ipod!!
I've double and trible checked the support and found nothing to help. Out of desperation I went back into itunes, then cliked on the Ipod button, chose the "Photos" tab and unticked the "synchronize" button (so to stop any further downloads).
A window then popped up, asking whether I would like to remove ALL the photos on the Ipod - fantastic!!! (Oh I also had the Ipod in "Disk use" at the time but I don't know whether this matters.)
It took a time but it did it. I know you only want to delete some of them but you could wipe them all out and then move your wanted photos into a new folder within Pictures directory for example and then re-synch your Ipod just with that new folder.
I would try it now but I need some sleep after trying to fix this stupid problem for the last half hour.
Good luck with yours!

  • How can I  delete pictures from my moments off the new IOS8

How can I delete pictures from my moments off the new IOS8 when it doesnt give me the option to delete the photo itself? The icon of the trash doesnt appear what so ever. This is the only thing im dissapointed in the IOS8 update. Theres not even a camera roll where you can delete the photo like the IOS7

    Try this:
    1. Start from the homescreen of your Iphone/pod (for dummies: where all of your "apps" are).
    2. Look for an app on your homescreen titled "Photos", when you find it - Click it.
    3. When the app opens, go ahead and look towards the bottom of your phonescreen.
         You should see a navigation with three different options;
"Photos", "Shared" & "Albums"; Why don't you just go ahead and click on "Albums", there we go - Very nice!
    4. On the next screen that appears, it should display your different albums.
Look for "Recently Deleted", and when you find it - Click on it.
It should be on that list somewhere (or there's a problem!).
    5. Now you should see a screen displaying all of the recent photos you've deleted.
The term we know as "recent" to iOS is thirty days (that's 720 hours in people-time!).
You will have to click to each individual photo, however at the bottom left-hand cornor of every photo take notice of the 'Delete' option.
    You're welcome.

How can I delete pictures from my photostream?

This is a user forum, you won't get a response from Apple. You cannot currently delete single photos from the photostream. You have to reset it. To do this go to icloud.com - advanced - reset photostream. Then toggle off/on the photostream on your device(s)

How can I delee pictures from the Photo Library on my IPod Touch?. I use Firefox as my browser. I want to take them from the IPod to my Pc. I need to free up space.

You can turn off photo stream on the iPad via Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream . Individual photos can't be deleted according to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 :
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.

  • How can i delete pictures from my iPad using iPhoto?

I would like to use iPhoto to delete pictures from my iPad and iPhone but I can't seem to do that.  I don't want to go through and mark each individual picture on the device itself to delete them.

You can only do this when importing. You could try using Image Capture (in the Applications Folder) for the job.

  • How can i delete pictures from iCloud?

i need to delete some pictures from my icloud back up, but i can find a way to do it , can someone show me how to, with out erasing the whole back up?

The Photostream is a really nice new feature with iCloud.  However, it isn't perfect.  My main issue with it is that there is no way to control what gets synced to your other devices.  For instance, every image that gets shot with or saved to your iPhone, goes right to the Photostream.  Once on the Photostream, it goes directly to my other devices.  Sometimes, I save a photo to my camera roll, or take a screen shot, and sometimes I shoot a really bad photo that is too dark or all blurry.  I usually delete these from my camera roll, but that has no effect on what gets sent to the Photostream.  Once an image hits the camera roll, it automatically goes to the Photostream.  This is an issue when I go to my other devices, such as my Macbook Pro and Aperture, where it automatically shows up on my Photostream there, and worse, if I have it set to automatically import, those (unwanted) images go right into Aperture.  Of course I can delete them there, but it all makes for extra work.  At the same time, I guess I don't have to keep the Photostream on, but that solves nothing and then doesn't give me access to my photos in the cloud.
I'd like to see an option that would allow you to pick and choose what gets sent to the Photostream.  That way, I could shoot pictures with my iPhone, go through them, delete the ones I don't want, and then beam the ones I do want to keep to the Photostream.  This would be much more logical and efficient for someone like me.
I may be in the minority on that, and I do see positives to having everything go to the Photostream automatically in that sometimes you delete an image that you then want back, and this does give you an instant backup mechanism, even if only during the duration of the 1000 photo limit (which is more than enough to make a decision on individual photos).
The system isn't perfect though, because for every lousy and unwanted photo that goes to my Photostream, it is potentially kicking out a great and wanted image.  All-in-all, I keep my master images in Aperture stored on an external drive, and then backed up on multiple other drives, so it isn't as though I'm losing any images, but still...  I guess you can't really treat the Photostream like an album.  It is a fleeting album if anything.  1000 images is a lot, but I think it would be better if Apple increased that amount.
    Anyway, all food for thought.

  • How Do You Delete Pictures From A Nano (2nd Gen)?

I'm sorry if I'm posting this and having the answer be something very simple and easy to do, but I can't seem to figure out how to remove photos from my iPod after they have been put on and left on for some time. They are wasting space on my iPod and I want them gone. Please help me :] Thanks!

Connect the iPod, in the summary screen click on the "photos" tab.
Remove the check mark from "sync photos". You will then see this message.
Click "yes", then click "apply" (bottom right corner).
However this will remove all the photos on the iPod.
If you just want to delete selected ones, you can remove the photos from the folder with which they are synced.
    This is an option.
Create a new folder and give it a recognizable name (e.g. iPod photos).
Drag (or copy) your photos into this new folder.
Connect your iPod and open iTunes and when the summary page appears, click on the "photos" tab.
Under "Synchronize photos from" choose "Selected albums" and select the new folder you created and click on "OK".
Then you can just add and remove photos to and from that new folder as you wish.

What files are they saved in?
Right click on the photo in the finder and select - Move to Trash - or to simply drag them to the trash - or click on the photo and go to File>Move to trash

    Hi maize005,
Photos on an iPod nano can be managed from iTunes on the computer that you are using as a source for content for the iPod. See this article for how to manage them -

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • How can I delete pics from photos in order to free up space on my iPod 5 with iOS 8?

In iOS 8, how can I delete pictures from photos app because I have run out of space, I need to delete at least 6 GB of pics.  I deleted many purchased apps but it did not restore space.  When I connect to iTunes it shows about 4 GB's allocated to documents & Data.  I do not have any documents or data , also it shows a couple of GB's allocated to "other"  I checked everything on the iPod and the only thing I can see using all my space is the pictures.  Almost 12 GB's of space.  I have all the videos and pics backed to iPhoto library on my iMac.  The trash can is disabled on iPod, but enabled on iPhone and iPad.  Why is the delete/trash can feature disable on my iopd?  I need to delete the videos and a lot of pics.

Were the photos synced to the iPod?
If so you have to unsync them or use a third-party computer program like TouchCopy or PhoneView
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.
What is the Other on my iPhone and How to Remove It
What is "Other" and What Can I Do About It?
Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
To restore to factory settings/new iPod see:

  • How can I delete albums from my ipod nano 9th gen

How can I get Ipod nano to display Albums when connected to itunes?
How can I delete Albums from my ipod.....either using the device stand alone or when connected via itunes?
Both the above actions are easy using other devices and software ( Samsung MP3 and Windows Media Player...for example)
But after a year of owning my Nano I still cannot figure out how to do either of these tasks.

Just re read myoriginal question and realised I had not explained what I want to do very well.....
If I connect my ipod 9th gen to itunes.
How do I get it (itunes) to display albums and then delete them?
Finding them amongst the many thousands of track listing and then deleting them one track at a time is extremly tedious........
Surely there must be a way I can get itunes to display albums and the pick the one I want to delete?
