How can I delete specific convos in the messages app without it gliching?

I have an iPhone 4S with absolutely everything up to date. Now I'm pretty much what you could call a texting hoarder.. I have text messages on my phone all the way up until the previous year sometimes. As of this very moment, I'm trying to delete certain convos whether their through iMessage or just regular texting, and every time I go to delete all the convos I wanted gone..I exit out of the app, I try opening it back up again and ALL my convos are gone. So I keep turning my phone off and back on, and then when I open up the app again, all the messages are still there. Like I never deleted them in the first place. I'm not sure what to do, I can't get rid of any of them!

You can do it, but you need another library signed in to iTunes match. That second library shouldn't have any local files stored.
Delete the entry from that second library and it will ask you to confirm that you want to remove the file from the cloud. Confirm that you do.
Now, as long as you don't delete the file from your main library it will have an iCloud status of "removed" and won't be in the cloud or try add it again.
However, if you sign out of match on that computer and then sign in again it will then re-add it to the cloud, so this isn't a method to use if you tend to turn match on and off much.
I have had the Beatles Mono albums in my main library, but not in the cloud, for a while now without any problems.

Okay so this is what I've done so far: I've freshly reinstalled Mac OS X 10.8.1 on my Mac and I've already copied the Messages Folder located in User/Library/Application Support, to the new one.
The idea is to access all this history data in the Messages.app, but so far I haven't been lucky.
When I'm chatting with people, the recent activity will be shown in the left column of the app but nothing from the past shows up, yet.
Is there some way to import all the chats into Messages, so that I can see them all in a nice way instead of quick-looking them in the Finder?

The "sync" between and iPhone (or other iOS device) and a Mac only works from the time both devices have the same details.
Effectively this is the time that the iPhone has the Apple ID added to it's settings and the pop ups that appear on the Mac about the iPhone's details are accepted.
The Sync is then "Display on all devices" only.
There is no catch up on existing threads on either device on the other.
If you delete an iMessages or a conversation on one device the other is unaffected.

Shift-click the photos or Ctrl-click them to select them, then right-click one of them and choose Delete from Catalog. They will all go together.

if there are going to be a lot of dash characters you could read the string character by character, compare the value of the character with the range of values for a letter in ascii, and not copy it to a new string if it doesn't match. If the odd character out is only going to be a dash, you can search the string for the character, split the string at this point, append it to a string buffer and keep doing this till you're done. Your question does not make much sense. iCloud syncs Safari's bookmarks between devices. If you delete a web site's bookmark from one device it will be removed from all other devices setup to sync to your iCloud account. If this is a bookmark to other websites you have an account with such as Amazon or other sites you are only removing the bookmark to that site, you would have to log into that website to remove thae account related to that site.
