Did you import an old iPhoto library into this one? It sounds like you did - NEVER import an iPhoto library - it does not work and creates a massie mess
If that is wha tyou did and you still have the old library available drag the bad library to the desktop for now and drag the old library to your ictures folder (No Importing Involved) and launch iPhoto - it will open the library and upgrade as needed - once you are sure your photos are safe and at least one backup cycle has run you can trash the bad library on the desktop

I tried copying some content from various websites (open content from plian HTML pages) and tried to paste it in Quickoffice document as well as in mai application. all the text got pasted properly however the content had some graphics and pictures in it that did not get pasted. So, I want to know if there is any way I can do the copy and paste from website including embedded graphics
You will need to copy and paste the images separately from the text. Or you can try pasting into TextEdit. However, it should work if the editor can handle RTFD files as does TextEdit. You cannot copy images to a plain text document or editor.

My hard drive on my computer crashed! This is the computer my ipad was sync with! All my photos of my three girls are on the ipad, but how do I get them transferred to either an external hard drive or to another computer - or just have them all printed - nearly 1000 photos!
Also, can I back up my ipad with an external hard drive? If I try to sync to a new computer it will erase everything I currently have on the ipad , correct?

The title came from an earlier step in the process when I was posing a question to the systen.
The pertinent part of the question is "How to I back up documents that are stored in iCloud"
That the destination for the backup is NOT my internal HDD should be clear from the rest of the post.
And frankly, even if that is where I want to back up to, that would at least give me two copies, at least giving me one duplicate of the stuff on iCloud.
So please stop wasting my time if you can't answer the actual question: How do I backup content that is stored in iCloud. The destination of the backup is irrelevant.

My boyfriend likes to check up on me by using find my iPhone app. Sometimes I feel he goes overboard and would like to know how often he is watching me. The gray icon is always there because he watches me every day, but if there is a way to reset it do that I can check it time after time and see if he watched me again since the last time I checked. Or is there a way or an app that tracks how many times a devise has been tracked? I don't want to change my password because I like knowing that if I get lost in the woods he would find me :)) I just want to know his often he is watching me.
Understood. However, the point that I'm trying to make is that it's not the WiFi access point's security that's in question, it's having your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode that's in question. It's simple: if your phone's WiFi is on, then it is both discoverable and hackable... even when it's not connected to a WiFi network or access point. The point is that it's not secure to have your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode. It would be better for privacy and security if Apple made WiFi location aware so that it is only enabled when you are at a trusted location (e.g. your home or office). Or, at least give us the option of location aware WiFi so that each user can determine the best mode for their phone:
(1) Always-On (current default - not secure and many privacy issues).
(2) Trusted mode (only on at trusted locations).
(3) Off. -
Recent convert to Apple. Previously, I backed up my family pictures from PC to an external hard drive, a WD MyBook 3T. I can view the pics on my Macbook Pro, but I can't add new pictures. I'm sure this is a format issue, any easy way to correct it?

If you were going to be reading and writing to a NTFS System Partition, you might have to worry about the instability messing up the operating system. However, you are reading/writing from a non system, backup device so you don't have to worry about screwing up an operating system.
I would still temporarily move my data to another device and reformat the drive for Mac OS X Extended. -
I have a lot of various book mark folders with websites contained within each folder. I am able to sort the websites within each folder alphabetically by name but I cannot find a way to sort the bookmark folders themselves alphabetically by name.I am not talking about in a view mode but in the way they are displayed when I click on my bookmarks tab. Can someone explain to me how to accomplish this other than manually dragging them as this is extremely hard for me due to the fact that I am a quadriplegic with limited hand movement dexterity
Bookmark folders that you created are in the Bookmarks Menu folder. "Sort" that folder.

I put a dual layered DVD in my iBook by mistake and iBook can't read it. now I can't eject it. It isn't recognised by the computer, so I can't eject it in the normal way, using Disc Utility or Terminal or whatever. Any suggestions? Is it easy to open up the CD drive on an iBook G4? The service manual for the 1.2 GHz 12" describes the procedure for removing a stuck drive. It involves removing the drive and opening it up (4 screws).
To remove the drive the preliminary steps are:
remove the following:
• Battery
• Keyboard and RAM shield
• AirPort Extreme Card
• Memory card
• Bottom case
• Bottom shield
• DC-in board
• Top case
• Top shield"
The reason I ask about the speed is that it's possible the earlier drives are different. In the PowerBooks there was a release on the right side of the slot. It was a small bar you pressed with the proper tool.

After you tapped the picture, it brings up the copy, paste, dialog box. This would be important if you wanted to copy the picture and paste it in another application.
Okay, I went to check to see what else you were talking about with suggest. What that is referring to is about sugguesting how much of the area to copy. Since there was more in the message than the picture, you could choose to copy more than the picture. Nothing much to do or worry about. -
I have been using itunes all day and then it wanted me to install a newer version. When I did it said I can't because it's missing mdsvr80 or something so i downloaded that now it has another error. How do I get itunes back the way it was or to work?

I want to load a picture from the Windows clipboard (and if not possible, then from the Labview clipboard) into actual numerical image data so that it can be processed in lab view. When I'm at the main screen where I can add controls, I see a section of controls called "Vision" in the tool bar where all the different controls can can be added from. When I go to the control called "Image" and put that on my form, and then look at the flowchart/blockdiagram programing window to see what inputs and outputs it has, I only see one output, and no inputs. And when I right click on it, I see NO way to load an image into the Image control. PLEASE help me.

National Instruments has an image processing software called Vision and although I am not completely sure, I think the controls that you found in the control pallet are used in conjunction with the software. Depending on what kind of image processing you want to conduct in LabVIEW, you might want to consider purchasing that product.
If cost is an issue, there are functions in LabVIEW which allows you to take in image files and process them. However, please keep in mind that the capabilities are limited.
Images should be loaded onto LabVIEW not via the clipboard but through loading it from folders or directories. (There might be a way to and so if you find a way please let me know! I would like to know myself =D) If you open the function pallet by right clicking on the block diagram, in the programming folder you should find a directory called "Graphic and Sound". There, you'll find functions in which allows you to process images.
In the "Graphic Type" directory there should be a function called Read JPEG file.vi. There are also others which allows you to read png and bmp files. Please note that there are functions which write as well. Set a file path on the block diagram and inside the "Grahic and Sound" there is a "Picture Function" directory and inside there, there should be a function called "Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi" That changes the image into a format where you can process on LabVIEW. Inside the "Picture Function" directory there are several functions which allows you to process the specified image. Play around with it and see how it goes. And don't forget to Write the file in the end to save any changes.

The songs on your Shuffle should still be in your iTunes library. That means you should just be able to connect your Nano to the same iTunes library and sync it just as you would with your Shuffle. There is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, or iPhones you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.
As for preparing the Shuffle for your husband, just restore it via iTunes and then let him sync it to his own iTunes library or if its the same iTunes library, let him configure it to sync only his content.

Have you actually opened these files to see what they are yet? The few Apps I've downloaded (not from iTunes) typically come with a few files. The actual app, the instructions/help/TOU and sometimes an uninstall.

If you mean backed up as part of an iPhone backup in iTunes? If so, you would have to use 3rd party software to extract them from the backup, such as iPhone Backup Extractor.
