How do I know what version of the iPad 2 I have?

iOS5 will give you access to more functionalities. But you will be compensating battery performance for that. iOS5 consumes more power than iOS4 for the fundamental reasons like its improved ease of usability and higher background process utilisation through notification centre, iMessage and various other features.
If you find that reliability in terms of battery performance is key, you may want to give it a second thought on upgrading to iOS5.
    My 2 cents.

  • How can I see what version IOS I have on IMac

I'm new to Apple I have an IMAC and not sure where to see what version IOS I have.

    1. Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu.
    2. Macs run Mac OS X, not iOS.

  • How can I tell what generation iPad I have?

    Hi there:
I was first and foremost wondering what kind/generation of iPad I own:
    Model number:  MB292LL
    Serial number: GB0393LJZ38
Secondly, depending on that info, I was wondering how much this iPad now costs (a hyperlink would be great) and third, what kind of keyboard (Zaragoza or Taurus) is compatible with it?  I would like an internal physical keyboard that holds an iPad vs something that externally connects to the iPad).  Let me know if there are any other details I can provide.

You can google the model number
    Amazon.com: Apple iPad (first generation) MB292LL/A Tablet (16GB ...
    www.amazon.com › Electronics › Computers & Add-Ons › Tablets
    Rating: 3.9 - 730 reviews - $485.00 - In stock
Amazon.com: Apple iPad (first generation) MB292LL/A Tablet (16GB, Wifi): Computers & Accessories.
So you have an I pad 1.  See the price above.
There are a gazillion keyboards availble.  Read some reviews and pick what you want
I have a brookstone case with built in keyboard.  I hate it.  So skip that one.
( for what it's worth, after a while you get used to the on screen keyboard and don't really need the external.)

  • HT4061 How do i find What version iPad i have

Received iPad as Christmas gift. Was told it has 3G but I don't see anything in setup that would indicate that, I.e., just setup for wireless.
Is there somewhere that shows if this is iPad, ipad2, ipad3 ... Whatever?

Start by creating yourself a Profile with Apple.  You can add all your devices serial numbers, and it will give you more info on they device when you do this.

To find out the software version of your iPad, start at the home screen, then tap "settings / general / about", and you will see the serial number, and the version of your iPad software.

  • HT4759 How do I know what version iPad I have? For cloud

Kneed help setting up cloud? I have ipad2 do not know version? How do I find out? Have iPhone 5 and have installed cloud but cannot figure out how to on iPad?

Go to Settings > General > About > Version. iOS 5 or later is required for iCloud. If you have iOS 4 or earlier, you will need to connect the iPad to iTunes and update to the latest version (presently iOS 6.1.3).

  • How do I determine what version of Firefox I have and where do I go for updates/

Yahoo is 'suggesting' I upgrade to Firefox''' 8'''. How do I determine which version I currently have (there is not 'Internet Options' under Tools) and where to I go to find the updates withough depending on Yahoo?

    Hey kkwebb,
There is a KB article called [[Updating Firefox]] that should have all the info you are looking for. You can find out what version of FF you are currently using by going to the Help menu at the top left of Firefox, then choosing "About Firefox." That will not only tell you what version you are using, but it will also let you know if there is an available upgrade.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • How do I determine what version of Apache I'm using?

How do I determine what version of Apache, 1.3 or 2.0, I'm using?

If you're using the stock Apache, it's 1.3 on regular OS X. I think it's Apache 2 on OS X Server, but I'm not certain.
If you're asking because you've installed Apache 2, but want to make sure it's the one that's running and not the stock Apache, one way to tell is to examine the headers it returns. This Terminal command will show your headers (just enter it and hit the "return" key):
    <pre class="command">curl -I http://localhost</pre>
    Here's what I get:
    <pre class="command">HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Date: Mon, 02 Jul 2007 13:09:06 GMT
    Server: Apache/1.3.33 (Darwin) PHP/5.2.0 mod_perl/1.29
    Content-Type: text/html</pre>
As you can see, I have the stock Apache, but I've installed PHP5.

  • How can you tell what version of Quicktime you have?

How do you determine what version of Quicktime you have on your computer? What version do you need for a new 30G Video iPod? How do you upgrade versions, if necessary?
Thanks in advance for any help.
iPod mini for windows   Windows XP

Open a QT document and use the Help menu, where you should see an item labeled (I believe) About Quicktime Player. That should tell you the version running the player.
You need QT Pro and QT 7 to have a preset for iPod video. You probably can use QT 6 if you use these settings in making an mpeg-4 video:
"MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480x480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats<<
QT 7 is available for download from the Apple site by clicking on
"Quicktime" in the Purple banner above

  • How can I determine what LLB a VI is being loaded from?

I've been frustrated switching between versions when an application opens and suddenly can not find a VI which is being loaded from a LLB.  How can I determine what LLB (or other type of library) a VI is being loaded from ?
Is there a list of all libraries along with what VIs are included in them somewhere?
    Thanks,
    Dave

In the context help, enable "Show Optional Terminals and Full Path ", then just hover over your VI, either on the diagram on in the hierarchy view.

How can i determine what the most recent os my iMac will run?

You CAN run 10.7, but I don't advise it, buy the 10.6.3 upgrade disk from the Apple Store online and then backup files off the machine and upgrade to 10.6.3., then Software Update to 10.6.8 would be the BEST option for your older hardware and it will run most all of your 10.5 software and be faster than 10.5 or 10.7.
If you go to 10.7 it won't run nearly any of your 10.5 software and you will have to buy all new ones for a machine that's getting a little bit dated, near it's end of life stage. 10.7 will slow your machine down, especially with low RAM.

At your machines stage, the hard drive is getting old, the vents are clogged up with dust and it's going to cost a bit to get the drive etc upgraded. You can if you wish, but 10.7 really needs more RAM (4GB) and a faster hard drive.
But your still subjected to the video card going out etc.
IMO upgrade to 10.6.8 and stay there until the wheels fall off, then buy a new 10.8 machine being released after this summer or 10.9 machine.
