We have been going over our data plan for the last couple of months.

settings > data usage, then you can scroll through the list of apps that are using data
Also ensure that apps are set to either not update automatically or to update only over wi-fi (through your Google Play app settings).

I am designing an interface with LabVIEW for uing agilent devices. My work colleagues will use this interface. I want to determine which devices are used at the moment and if I determine used device, i will add automatically device names to interface's main vi. So all my work colleagues can see on the program which devices are used by another colleague. This devices are connected with GPIB. İ want to learn is there any function on Instrument I/O palette.

so those devices are connected to the PC with a GPIB connection. Will your collegues run several DAQ programs at the same time?
GPIB-devices being controlled by PC don't have a "in use"-signal. They wait for commands, execute them and send an answer. When you start to control them using two programs they may respond to both programs, mixing up settings/measurement values and so on.
That being said: In MAX you can see all devices connected to your GPIB port. You could scan the GPIB port using VISA commands in your program. You might even try to access a certain device by it's VISA alias. I really don't know if you will get a "device nopt available" error message when that VISA alias is in use by a different program - but you might do a quick test on your own…

Perhaps this is a suggestion, just in case someone who is in a position to note this at Apple (not likely?) might read it.
How about an app included in the OS that allows users to track which apps are transmitting and receiving data through cellular data and/or wireless.
I keep getting charged by AT&T (it took restraint to not type a bunch of explatives before AT&T) for escessive data usage, even though I'm in wifi 90%+ of each day, and purposely restrict using it when not in wifi. Seriously, I don't now how I could use it less barring not using it at all, and I still get charged for data. I have no idea how to control this since I cannot tell which, if any, apps are transmitting data in the background, or if that's even possible.
Seriously annoyed at getting charged extra when the 'service' they provide barely works for me the miniscule amount of times I try to use it.

How can you determine which pages are using a specific symbol?

I want to find all the pages that are using a specific symbol, but I don't know how. I can't simply switch symbols because some have specific text & want to switch them with more generic smart buttons. I'll have to find every instance to update the text.

me too, my file has 39 pages with many unuse symbols, now I want to delete those unuse.
I found that after deleteing those unuse in Page 1, actually they are being used in other page,
I can't find the way to delete them all at one time for all pages.

Mifi 4620L - how do I determine which devices are using my data?

I Have a couple kids connecting to our Mifi4620 and we keep going over our 20gb data limitation. How can I find out what devices are using data and when as we. As how much so I can track down my high data usage culprit?

I have made several comments on another forum about my high data usage. The forum name is "HIGH DATA USUAGE being used". One thing I have found effective in my trouble shooting is to make sure all devices are off and will not auto connect to the WiFi.
1. Turn on the WiFi and make a log of everything that you do and with a time.
2. turn on only one device and do what ever you want to use that device for. (ALL other devices off}
3. Wait about 5 minutes when finished and then turn the MiFi off.
4. Wait 5 to 10 minutes before turning the MiFi back on to make sure all data got registered.
5. Do these steps for each device and keep a log of sites visited and what was done on each device.
6. Log into your Verizon account and go to data then down nearer the bottom there is a box where you can select a device. Select the router phone number and it will give you a detailed listing of data usage and times. The time in the listing is the time the session started and will add all data used until the MiFi session is ended. If nothing is connected it will check about about every 160 minutes ( 2 hrs. 45 minutes) you will see a small data usage. If something is connected you will see data usage every totaled every 6 hours (approximately). By turning the MiFi off you can stop the 6 hour totaling and only total the session up to that time. Of course you have to wait long enough for their computers to get the total data usage. At one time I would have to wait 3 to 4 days for some of these to show up but recently it shows up within a couple of hours and has always been updated over night. I have been downloading the detail usage since every morning since August. I made an excel spread sheet that will total on a daily basis the total data used for a day when I do a copy of my download and paste it into my spreadsheet.

I thought my problem was solved but it is back and I have run out of ideas as to what else I can check or change. Today I went to Sprint store and can switch to one of their plans and save $18.00 per month but the problem with that is that the Sprint connection is not quite as good where I live.

Create a smart collection with criteria "collection" and "does not contain"; and also with criterion Folder contains (or folder contains all)
That works if you are thinking about a specific named collection.
If you are interested in finding photos that are not in ANY collection, the usual trick is "collection" "does not contain" "a e i o u y"

I have recently noticed a full charge of power doesn't last as long as it used to on my iPad 2. Is there some way to determine which applications are using the most power?
I have been monitoring my home network router accesses and have noticed the iPad logs accesses every 15 seconds. This only happened recently. It had been well behaved and only accessing once or twice a day before. I installed the most recent iTunes upgrade, per suggestions during a Sync. The problems seemed to occur after this update. I have gone through all the settings and have minimized the applications requiring higher power (I switch off the location services unless I'm away from home. Likewise, I turn off my cellular carrier unless I'm away from home, etc.)
In short, how can I maximize my power usage (aside from turning it off)?

Thanks for responding so quickly.
I'm really trying to find out why the battery is depleting much faster than it used to all of a sudden. I used to be able to put a full charge on it and it would last about 5 to 6 days with normal use (normal for me). Now that battery only lasts about 2 to 3 days with the same use.
I DO recharge it when it needs to be charged but this is indicating there is something else (new) that is causing the power drain.

To gain the maxium functionality from IE without solving problems in Netscape, the customer has decided to work with two different stylesheets(one for IE and one for Netscape).

The browser ID string is a HTTP request parameter. How you get to it depends entirely on what you're programming in. You want to get the value of the User-Agent parameter (for example, in CGI, this is HTTP_USER_AGENT).
However, I'd advise against doing things this way unless you really understand how HTTP works on many levels. One common problem people run into on sending different content based on the browser is that proxy servers will happily cache everything and send content intended for one browser to another.
I have not seen any IE functionality that Netscape does not also have that is worth this hassle, but that's just my very stubborn opinion. :-)

How can I determine which codec to use?

I'm using PE7 on a PC. I have HD video shot with a Canon. Each video - there are six of them - is less than five minutes. After I finished editing, I uploaded them to youtube and emailed a link to my client, but my client complained that they were out of focus. I explained that it was the compression that youtube uses, and that I'd render them to disk for him to look at.
Trouble is, I can't figure out which codec to use. All I know is that I want clear, sharp video, suitable for posting on the net. These are scientific videos, showing some chemical processes involving gasoline with ethanol and water.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

I guess I need to explain better. The HD videos I'm editing will not end up on youtube, but will be posted on a government agency's website. I originally posted them on youtube just so the client could take a look without me having to attempt to email large video files or burn to disk, since the client is in a different location from me.
The area of video editing and production that I'm the least knowledgeable - and therefore the most insecure - is when I attempt to render and save a video. Every video project I go through the same frustration of having a project that I'm happy with, but having a final product that either 1) does not look at all sharp or 2) results in a file size which is too large. In this case, since the final video files will be posted online, they need to be small enough for viewing over the net while maintaining enough sharpeness and quality that the video does not look out of focus.
If you take a look at this video, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_X0IKPJrng you can see why my client thought it was out of focus. However, I know that the original footage is very sharp.This link is only temporary, as I've already been told that the agency I work for will not allow them to be posted on youtube.
So, my question is, when I'm rendering and saving a video project from PE7, how do I know what settings to use for the highest quality, yet smallest file size? The manual does not go into much detail about the pros and cons of various codecs, nor does it say much about what settings do what. It's like Adobe expects me to already know this information.
Is the problem with the video above simply that youtube compresses the videos I upload? Is Vimeo a better site to upload videos and maintain sharpness? In PE7, is there a way to set it up to upload to Vimeo, or should I render and save as an MP2 or MP4 file and then manually upload?
Surely there's a site which goes into much greater details about the various settings I can use in PE, and how those settings affect the final viewing product.

How do you determine which apps are paid and which are free

I am trying to perform some cleaning of my iPhone and want to delete some apps. I know which ones to delete, and which ones to save, but never want to delete an app that I have paid for.
How can I tell, either on the phone itself, or within iTunes, which apps were paid for, and which were free? They all show a purchased date in "get info" within iTunes, even apps that were free. I know some apps that I certainly paid .99 for, and some that I have paid much more than that. I would never want to delete those. How can I tell the difference?

Ok, keep in mind, this is iTunes app store, not Desktop App Store, just so we are on the same page. I have a purchase history that looks like this:

If I go to the app Store, locate the exact app in question, this is what I get:

Compare that to an app I did made a purchase to, Geocacging, and it is different. As you can see, it tells me that I can download it again, for free, and this is in no way a free app, quite expensive compared to most 99 cent apps:

It says "sign out" which tells me I am logged in.
I don't have an app within the apps section of itunes of the apps section of my phone when connectted by wireless of by usb cable.
So unles I am completely mising your instructions, I believe this to be on Apple's end, and they are not recognixing that I have already downloaded this app and paid for it. I am about to just download and pay for it again, it is only 3.99, so not a big deal, however, if this was a 100.00 GPA app or smilar, I would be a little upset.

Itunes can not sync apps with the iphone [name], because it can not determine which apps are installed on the iphone.

After installing the latest Version of iTunes (10.5.1.42) on my Windows XPs PC it's not possible to sync my iPhone 3GS (not iOS 5!) any more - I get the error message above. It's possible to download music, apps, podcasts - but not possible to sync with my iPhone..
Any Ideas?

Basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore. Have the first two been tried?
How about simply unplugging the iPhone and plugging it back in to sync?
What has been done in an attempt to troubleshoot the issue?

Manage Databases Upgrade Status will provide you all active and offline DB details, you can get same result
using below PowerShell cmdlet.
Get-SPDatabase and Get-SPContentDatabase will provide all active database/Content DB in Farm which include Service application db, central admin DB.
Get-SPDatabase | Format-Table Name, ID
Coming back to your question, if you find that there are some site are not completely upgraded then run below command and understand the cause if issue on specific DB.
Test-SPContentDatabase WSS_ContentDB_Name
If you find any missing file issue in DB then resolve these issue to upgrade content database.
(verify all customizations referenced within the content database are also installed in the web application. This cmdlet can be issued
against a content database currently attached to the farm, or a content database that is not connected to the farm )
Use the Upgrade-SPContentDatabase cmdlet
to resume a failed database upgrade or begin a build-to-build database upgrade against a SharePoint content database
