Well anyways, sounds like it's in recovery mode. You'll need to perform a restore through iTunes on the computer.

Ok, new to this, sorry for long title, thought I was in text/message part. I have two iPhones, and iPad, and a MacBook Pro. Invoking messaging and receiving on two iPhones and an iPad was cute in the beginning but now it's beyond useful. i've solved the problem on iPhones just by turning off messaging, but find nothing in settings to turn off messaging on the MacBook Pro. I'm assuming that turning off messaging on my phones reverts to SMS tho' not sure what Apple uses if not SMS.
I do not want iPhone messages being received on my MacBook Pro. How do I de-authorize, can't seem to find anything in settings and don't want to delete MESSAGE.APP as who knows if I want it in future.

The iOS Messages app send either iMessages or SMS depending on the receiver.
If it is Off then you can't send SMS either.
Turn Messages back On in the iPhone.
Go to Setting > Messages > Send and Receive and delete the Apple ID (And any other email) you listed for iMessages
You will get a warning alert that the ID will be deleted across all devices (and it included Messages on the Mac)
The Messages app on the Mac can have iMessages turned Off.
Two ways to do this.
Simplest is to go to Messages Menu > Preferences > Accounts and Untick the Enable this Account Box.
The second is to use the Sign Out Button (in OS X 10.8.2 which has updated Messages to version 7.0.1)
The Second logs you out and removes the Apple ID from the iMessages Account settings.

I have an iPhone 4S. When I want to update an app, it asks me for a password for an Apple I.D. I no longer use, because I don't know the password for it. The rest of the places where my I.D. Is listed, like in iTunes, has the password I want to use. How can I get the phone to disable the unusable I.D. and substitute the one I have the password for?

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID. -

I figured it out. You have to have location services turned on specifically for the native weather app. My husband already did and that's why his was working. In the previous ios, I chose to disable location services to save battery and had the widget set to show weather for my home city regardless of where I was. Now that doesn't appear to be an option. Hopefully it won't drain my battery too much.

I have some very important information on the phone I can't lose, How can I retrieve that information if the phone was not backed up to icloud of my mac? I will go to court over this to prove it is my phone. I just can't lose this information. Please, Please, Please, help me. I will mail the phone in to apple store if that will help.

You can't. If your phone is disabled, the data has already been erased...that's the whole point of the passcode. Your only option now is:
Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode & restore it:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

Has anyone encountered drastic shorter battery life both on iphone 5 and ipad since updating to iOS 6.1.2? I've always been happy with these two products until the update - now the battery life is considerably shorter which is extremely frustrating.
How can this problem be solved? Is there any way to go back to the previous version?
Thanks for your help.If you update using iTunes the phone is first wiped clean, then the new OS is installed, and finally the backup is restored. After this finishes if you sync your music should be restored. Music is not in the backup, because it is already on your computer and duplicating it would use up a lot of hard disk space.
An OTA update just patches what has changed; it does not disturb content. -

I have a new powerbook and want to give my girlfriend my old G4 power book, she has a new iphone 5s, and wants to create a new itunes/apple id. When i try to de authorize the G4 and sign in with her new apple ID it says bad password, how can i release the G4 from my cluster of authorized apples and make her the owner so she can download music and more importantly sync her music with her phone, she only has 3 songs on her iphone, and loaded all her CD's into the g4 but cant sync, im no dummy and this shouldnt be hard, but its driving me crazy!!!!!!

How can I transfer photos from an IPhone 5 to an IPad 2 using a cable. I have tried using the lightning to firewire adapter with my current lead but this only seems to allow a download from the IPad to the IPhone and not the other way around.
The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind. Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.

Living in Japan and I'm an American who just signed up with Soft Bank the phone service here and spent a TON of money on an iPhone. I can't figure out how to connect my bank account at home to my app account so I can Skype my family. Please help!!!! I don't have a credit card nor do they gove debit cards to foreigners here, or at least it's really hard so I'm using my bank at home and still have a debit there. My phone number is 8 numbers plus the country code which is strange! Another thing is I was given a phone email that I was told to use for texting but I'm not sure how that works!! When my husband and I first bought our iPhones, I was the only one with an Apple ID (since he never used iTunes). He used my apple id to get apps. Now he has his own ID, but my apple ID email address keeps popping up on his phone when he tries to download an app. We do not want to have all of the same apps on our phones. How can we change the ID on his phone? I already tried going to Settings>iTunes &App Store> and changing the Apple ID to his account email and that did not solve the problem. To make things worse, I recently changed my Apple ID email address (without getting a new ID) and I do not remember my old password (and this is the address that is popping up on his phone). All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.
