How can I disable the orange modifier keys on the keyboard?

These orange keys are stuck enabled on my keyboard and I am unable to turn them off. I've tried pressing every button combined with Option, Command, and Control. I get áéíóú instead of the quotation marks and the normal keys I want. I have shut down, restarted, mashed buttons, nothing has worked.
Someone, please, how do I turn this off!?

IPhone SDK: How can I disable the keyboard on a UITextField

I would like to disable to keyboard for a UITextField. When someone touches the textfield, I would like them to be able to manipulate the cursor inside the field but I do not want a keyboard to appear.
In other words, simply unchecking the enable option in IB is not going to work. The field needs to be enabled but I would like the keyboard to stay hidden.
Any ideas?

Check UITextFieldDelegate textFieldShouldBeginEditing. Return NO and see what happens. I'm not sure if that will fix it though.

this last results on more lines (rows);
Isn't possible to avoid this?

i'm a user of Firefox for android. i've found a problem since I update to 16.0.2 and above. every time i tap a link or a input text in the web page, there always shows an annoying orange rectangle outline around the focused link or input area. Moreover, this outline would keep showing while I drag the page and start browsing other parts of the same page. how can I disable the annoying feature?

This is the default feature of the browser to indicate which element are you on, if you are actually on focus with the input or tapping on the right link.
Since this is a default feature of the browser, it now depends on the website's developer to override this feature with custom focus styles. Normally, in a browser, you can override this with user styles/scripts but as far as I know, Firefox Android does not support such features.

Question: Do you think the response from the support staff is correct? I mean, surely, I can't be the only CF user on a shared box whose other users need to modify the date and time within their applications. Even if they do it at the application level for their domain, surely it wouldn't affect mine, would it? That was what was implied by the support people, but I have a feeling they are way off, or covering for some goof-up on their end. Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

you should be able to turn off and on with FN and + to turn on then FN and the - button i think it was to turn off the backlight it's on number pad area to the right you should see light form icon showing light is on and then another 1 that is showing it's off
