How can I do a group email

Want to know how I can send a group email from mail on my iPad. Have the group set up but will it send as a group as in mail on my MacBook?

I am afraid you can't do that as standard on iPad.
There are a number of apps available that will allow you to create email groups and send them available on the App Store. Most of these use their own emailing program to send emails to groups.
Our app "MailShot" is the only app that can use them to create special contacts in your address book that can then be used from most apps on your iPad (including Mail, Photos etc.) It also provides the only way to forward emails with all their attachments on to groups. It can also now import groups straight from your address book into MailShot groups.

I am trying to send a group email to all my address contacts that does not show any other of the group contact information on the email. Can anyone tell me how to do this effectivly. Very occasionally, an email server will be misconfigured and not strip off the BCC list on email it sends to its local users, revealing the complete blind copy address field to users that receive the email at that domain. Therefore, BCC is very good but not perfect at keeping addresses confidential, and should not be relied on for the most critical and sensitive of communications.

How can I export a group email address to a .csv file. I can export the whole address book but it looses the group listings.

I have an address book in Thunderbird and want to export one group listing to a .csv file. I couldn't find a way of exporting one group so exported the whole address book then opened the .csv file and was going to remove the all addresses except the group but the group name was not in the file.
Is it possible to export the group listing.

Open Address Book, select the mailing list in the left pane, then Tools/Export, select csv (comma separated) format, name the file, click Save.

The native mail app in iOS does not support group emailing directly. You have a couple of options:
Search the app store for an app that does. there are a few.
Create a contact with multiple email addresses in the same email field (separate with semicolons). There is a limit on the number of characters the field will contain, and how many addresses this will work on don't recall exactly what that limit is, however). #1 is probably your best bet.

Use your Mac's Contacts application to create the group. Then you can access the group name in Mail to send messages to.

You can set up email groups in Contacts. The articles says Address Book (Contacts old name), but it still works.

You dont need to use a server, but you will probably need a group emailing app of some sort to help you.
There are a number of apps available on the App Store. Most will only let you send email from inside their own app, but MailShot Pro uniquely creates special contacts that you can use right from the Mail app, and tens of thousands of compatible apps, building group email right in.
You can find the app at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mailshot-pro-group-email-done/id445996226?ls=1&m t=8, a free version is also available, which can only create a few, smaller groups, but can be upgraded.
