I am so annoyed with BT at the moment, I need to vent some frustration...
After paying £26 per month for the last 18 months for BT Total Broadband, we re-contracted with BT on the Unlimited Broadband package at the end of June. We'd just moved house and the line is pretty good so decided to keep with BT. We were asked whether we wanted to upgrage the hub to version 4 for £35 but decided against it at the time.
I decided to have a closer look at the specs of the HH4 and found a press release from 7th May which said anybody recontracting within 3 months gets a free HH4, so I contacted BT to point this out and request one. The adviser didn't believe me so I had to send them a pdf copy.
Nect day, I got a phone call to say that we would get a Home Hub 4 for free and it was sent out. To the wrong address - the one we moved from 6 weeks ago!! I only found out when I went online to find out what the holdup was and saw the tracking info showing the wrong address (BT are well aware of our current address).
Another call to BT and the adviser promised a new one would be sent out to the correct address - this showed up on our account (with a delivery date of Monday) until yesterday, the same day the hub sent to the wrong address was received back by BT and signed for.
Now I can't find the order on my account and I stupidly didn't write down the order number. It's disappeared
Coincidence or not??

How can I sync with this library without erasing my data?
The iPod "Sayira's iPod" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library? An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPod with the contents of this iTunes library.
So, okay, here's my story: My laptop caught a virus, so i sent it to this guy who fixes computers, now that my laptop is fixed, everything is deleted from it. I didn't really mind this too much, but anyway I redownloaded iTunes to my new hardrive and then it said the following (posted above). My question is, how can i sync with this new library without erasing any data from my apps (such as games, photos, videos, music)? Not only does the current flash player prohibit such activity, it doesn't even pop open an error anymore saying there was an error connecting to an online source.
Normally, I would simply drag the SWF into Flash and all connections would go through. I could see traces, errors, and experience no issues.
Now I can't even do that. So what then? You have crippled a fundamental use of the program, but THANK GOD we have that deco brush that nobody asked for.
And for the record, the nature of my work benefits from not necessarily allowing the Flash Player to connect to online content. The error it pops up? That's simply another method of error checking that I require. Updating the Flash Player options is not an option.
Why would you even remove this key feature from Flash anyways? It's been there for years ... has the ratio of people importing SWFs (a rather useless gesture in an increasing OOP world) really outweighed the people using Flash as a testing environment that much? -

You will have to do this manually using the Finder, or try a commercial application like Chronosync or Carbon Copy Cloner which might be able to backup a network drive to another network drive. Check with their support folks first before you buy.
If you could connect the external drive directly to a Mac, Time Machine would backup both the Mac and the external hard drive (assuming that the external is formatted correcly to work with Time Machine). -
I've logged onto iTunes, but it's asking me security questions because it's a new device, and I'm getting the answers wrong, but iTunes wants to reset but send the new passwords to my ex partners email address how can I get round this.
I believe part of the recovery process is you get an e-mail allowing you to reset questions. If that e-mail isn't correct either because your son set it up then you really have no option but to ask Apple again. They are getting strict abotu security and given the number of "My iTunes account got hacked" posts here I can guess why. They have no way of knowing you really are the owner of the account. It's like me going to a policeman and saying, "See that car over there? That is mine, can you open the door for me?" and the police opening it on that basis alone.

What is the exact message of the compiler?
I think the error is, that the compiler does not find the definition of ON
and OFF. Is it in the same source file?
If not, try to put it into an .h file and include it where you need it.

I'm trying to download itunes 10 but I get to a point in the download and it tells me, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" but I haven't had itunes on my computer for a year now so how can I get around this?

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

Until you get this sorted, there is a good chance you may simply lose everything.
Do you hav ean external drive?
If so copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to the external drive.
Then you can delete /Music/iTunes/ empty the trash and recover this space.
Do this then Apple menu > Software update.
Restart the computer
Then post back. -

I have the iPhone 5 and with the new sofware update it added a passcode lock. Same for the iPad. I removed the passcode lock from my iPhone and now I can access my iPad. It is still asking for the four digit passcode. I tried using the one that was orgingally programed and it disables it every time. How can I get past this? I have tried to do a restore and it still takes me back to the lock screen. Please help!

One of you needs to use a separate Apple ID for iCloud, FaceTime & iMessage.
The Apple ID needs to be a verified email address. Once you have an email address, that can be verified, go here & create the ID:

Then on one of the phones, turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you both share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so.
