How can I downgrade ipad 2 from ios 6 to 5.1.1?

Bought iPad yesterday. This morning was prompted to upgrade to iOS 6. I did. Now I want iOS 5.1.1 back.

I wanted to downgrade because Youtube and Google maps are gone in iOS 6.
Apple support said use "Youtube iphone app". It takes 1/4 of the screen. If they sold me iPad for 1/4 price I would have done it. I paid full price, I want full app. Then they said "use Safari, go to Youtube URL". So many extra clicks, part of the screen taken by the browser. Again, why pay for supposedly "perfect" Apple product, when you cannot use those features that make it "perfect"?
I do not even want to start on AppleMaps.
When I tried to restore original factory image - it gave me iOS 6, although my original iPad was iOS 5.1.1. It was less than 48 h after purchase and after 1st startup.
Imagine, you buy a product with several apps you are going to use. Then next day it says "do you want to upgrade?". Click Yes. The apps you bought the product for, are gone! Thank you very much!
Returned the iPad to the store. Sorry.

You cannot downgrade the iOS, there is no supported method.
Google streetview was not lost, Google Maps were removed from iOS6 and replaced with Apple Maps.

Last night I f disconnected my IPad from charger with 100% battery at 1:30 am, it was on airplane mode with wifi off & I closed all application. Even I disabled every background refresh app!! At 10:30am in the morning, the charge was at 89%. This has happened after upgrading my iOS 7 to ios8!!!!
Previously when my iPad was on ios7, even when some of my applications ware open, even after 9 hours my ipad's battery life was aroun 99% or 98% with airplane mode on & wifi off.

How can videos be uploaded from iOS iPhoto to Flickr when they cannot be selected. (The Flickr iPhone app always gives a vague error message when video upload is attempted.)

I am trying to upload short MP4 videos from my iPad 2 running iOS 5.1.1 to Flickr. These videos were taken on a Panasonic FZ150, and I am able to upload videos from this camera from my iMac when I am at home. (I am currently thousands of miles from home, which is why I want to upload from my iPad.)
I can upload photos from iOS iPhoto, but when I select videos, the selection count does not increase, and so they are not uploaded.
There is no Flickr app for iPad, but I tried the iPhone app, and was able to upload photos. However, when I try to upload videos, I always immediately get the error message:
"An error occurred. We could not upload your video. Please try again."
Frustratingly, there is no indication of what the error is.
Finally, I tried the Flickr website uploader page, but all the "Choose File" buttons were dimmed, so apparently there is no attempt to integrate ithis page with iPad,.
I have had the same experience several times over the last few weeks in different locations, including private homes and hotels, none of them corporate offices with strong firewalls, and I am not running any firewall software other than standard iOS.
I welcome any suggestions, workarounds, etc., that will enable me to upload videos from IPad to Flickr.

I am not familiar with Flickr, but found their support page at <Flickr Support>. You may get better help there than here. I get the impression that the App is somewhat buggy.
The iTunes preview page indicates the App is for iPad as well as the iPhone. <Flickr App Preview>

If you don't have iTunes you will need to buy the song from the iTunes store and download it that way. If it is a custom track you may be out of luck. The only way to get a song on your device without iTunes involves jailbreaking it.
iOS is set up to prevent people from emailing each other songs, videos, movies, books, etc. This is how Apple got their contracts with the content providers by promising that they would do what ever it takes to prevent people from sharing content that they didn't pay for.

I have a iPhone 4S, I've recently upgrade to iOS7...OMG what i've i done !! I dont like it at all... the calendar and notes are pretty useless now, everything turned white, even the date cursor on "starts" option (date/hour) its hard to do anything, i'm having great difficulties in adding events, it's not easy....
The new colours really hurt my eyes, this new design its not "Apple" at all, what happened? ...looks like a 2nd grade phone with Android. My iPhone is slower, my battery is draining faster, and i've notest a lack of quality in the phone calls and in the audio speaker. There is nothing (UP) in this UPgrade.
Please, help me go down/back.

Chris, I clearly said what issues I'm having with ios 8: the apps are crashing all the time; family purchases aren't working; I only get an E signal when I turn the phone on. It's not my job to perform quality control or troubleshooting for apple. When I purchase the most expensive phone on the market, it is reasonable to expect that I should receive a product free from bugs.
As far as my other comment, "worst ios yet," (which everyone says after every new release) I guess that means that apple's QC is a joke. Perhaps they should continue to sign previous ipsw's after releasing a new version, or they should be honest--a beta release should be called such.

No, it is not even possible to see files without adding an app to iOS..
And for TM you need AFP.. and the iOS only manages SMB..
I suddenly realise you may not mean Time Machine.. at all but time capsule.. ie can you see files stored on the TC.. yes.. if you load an app.. not files stored by Time Machine. But files you have deliberately copied to the TC yes.

Can you restore from backup? That would be best to keep all your stuff. You can find usually several versions under restore option in iTunes. I really hope you have one of those iOS7 versions backed up to iTunes.
If you really want to start over, and I mean no contacts, photos, music, apps, anything but factory settings that aren't in the cloud or in one of the restore options. You can search ios 7.1.2 firmware and download it and install by shift click restore and choose the file you downloaded. But that is a really desperate act. But this also requires iTunes and if you've been using iTunes you probably have a backup.
