Active X is a Microsoft program. It will not work on the Symbian system.

Well..that was quite helpful..but now I'm encountering certain problems. I've attached the VI I've made.
I don't need sound at the moment so I dropped it. (Although I tried to play it..but all I could hear was a very annoying sound.) Secondly I don't want to display any date or time..so i dropped that property too.
Now when I run this Vi...the webcam turns on, the screen of videocapx pops up..then the webcam light goes off..and another pop up appears saying..labview is not responding..and i have to close it reluctantly.
I haven't placed the stop capture property in this vi. i checked it by placing it too..but that doesn't work.
I would like to notify that my actual task is to acquire image and then compare it with another one already present on my pc. I want you to please help me out..solve my first query then I'll proceed with the latter part.

I need to record on my IP cameras (Foscam and Wanscam) and need to use ActiveX controls. I only know of Internet Explorer having this add-on. My default browser is Firefox. I can open the cameras using Firefox, but cannot record. How can I download ActiveX to Firefox or is there something else I can use.

You would need other means to control the camera like a Java applet or a web based interface to be able to use the camera by other browsers apart from IE.

If you do not want Preview to open the files, do the following:
Highlight your file>File>Get Info>

This has been a problem for 6 weeks now, I retry when I have time and patience and use my other laptop which is also Windows 7 and runs with no problem.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

What is it you're trying to do and what is the exact message? Are you trying to download the installer from the web site? Or have you downloaded the application and cannot run it? If the latter, and the message you're getting is that the application is from an unidentified developer, control-click on the app and choose "open".
There is no "Snow Lion" by the way. 10.8.x is Mountain Lion.

Hi Krazy,
OK, a couple of things:
1. You do have the iCloud icon in your settings on your iPad, right?
2. You do have Photo Stream turned on on your iPad in the iCloud setting, right?
3. You do have an iPhone that has an iCloud icon in your settings that has Photo Stream turned on, right?
So, the only place left that you would see an iCloud icon would be on your Mac in the System Preferences, and you would want to have Photo Stream turned on there as well.
Can you let me know if any of the statements I have listed above are not true, or you do not have? Seems like you may have been given some misinformation about iCloud, Photo Stream, and how to set it all up.....
As far as other pictures go (those not in the photo stream - which is a temporary holding place that shares the photos among all your devices without having to do a sync), if you have pictures that you have uploaded to your computer from your iPhone or camera, etc. they are housed in iPhoto (if you are on a Mac). In order to get these pictures to display on your iPad, you need to sync your iPad to that Mac via iTunes.
Is any of this making any sense?

My hard drive recently crashed and I have had to redownload everything. I have downloaded itunes, but when I try and hook up my ipod it says I need an apple mobile USB driver. How can I download that driver?

You can either use the manufacturer-supplied driver or NI-VISA to control your USB device but not both. If you have installed your device, each time you plug it in the FTD2XX.inf will associate your device with FTD2XX.sys. Then, you can use FTD2XX.dll to talk to your device using the call library function node. The DLL usually contains a whole bunch of useful functions that someone else already designed to talk to your device. This is the easier route and I would recommend it if you already have the DLL and the installed driver.
The second method would be to uninstall or disable the driver for your device and create an .inf file with NI-VISA Driver development wiazard. This .inf file will tell Windows to use VISA as your device driver. You will, however need the vendor and product ID of the device to use VISA as your driver. The details of this are outlined in the NI document "Using VISA 3.0 to control your USB device."
The drawback of this method is that VISA is just an API to talk to your device and you have to implement the communication protocol to talk to your device. This might take some time to do.
This is why I recommend the first method. Someone else already implemented the driver for your and you just have to use the functions from the dll to implement your application.

Hmm, I tried a few ways and it's working here. First, it works if I have the artwork panel open below all the libraries and I can then Control-click (or right click if you have a two button mouse) in there, get a pop up menu, and select "copy". Or, second, if I pull up the "Get Info", click on the artwork tab, click on the album art (at which point it's highlighted), and then press command-C to copy it. Or, third, double click on the pictClipping file on my desktop and press command-C (or select "Edit" - "Copy" from there). If I use any of those techniques to get the artwork in my clipboard, then the "File" - "New from clipboard" option in "Preview" works for me.
It doesn't work if I pop up the artwork in it's own window (e.g. by clicking on the artwork in the optional artwork panel below the libraries), or if I neglect to click on the artwork in "Get Info" before pressing command-C.
Finally, if none of these is working, I think that "GraphicsConverter" app is shareware, so you might be able to try it for free if you want. I also picked up a free Automator workflow that does the job for free, but it's really a little clumsy and wouldn't suggest unless you're really technically oriented.
