You cannot unless you have a full TM or clone backup which you could use to erase your drive and reinstall the earlier version (that would be for your computer, not an iDevice).

How to get previous versions of Flash Player (Note: Adobe
supports and recommends the latest Flash Player.)

have read the 'help' given for this question from another ipad owner --which was to download the current version and then might be able to get a compatable version --- but the new version will not download -- just tells me I have to upgrade to version 6 which is not possible on the 1st generation ipad! I cannot understand why the older versions of ibooks and Kindle are not avilable for those of us who cannot afford to buy the new ipads. Please can anyone help?!!!!

I have spent too many hours trying to get FF4 to work but .pdf files still won't open, Flash files won't play, option to save all tabs on close cannot be found: hanging and restarting in safe mode has become a common part of my work day and I can't afford the time.

It would be best to remove some files in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] to prevent problems with downgrading now or upgrading in the future.
Remove at least all the extensions.* files (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and the files pref.js and localstore.rdf and compatibility.ini.<br />
You may have to show hidden files and folders to see the .ini and .js file extension.<br />
This will reset all preferences (options) and the toolbar customization, so you will have to redo those settings.
If you do not need to preserve the history then you can delete places.sqlite as well to rebuild the bookmarks.<br />

Based on the information that you gave, you would at least need to update to OS X Lion (10.7), as that is the Mac System Requirements to get the latest version of iTunes. When reinstalling Firefox from a download, Firefox must be down once the installation starts. When the installation finishes, don't let the install start firefox for you.
