How can I download the latest microsoft live messenger onto a 10.4.9

Hi there,
I am trying to work out how to use microsoft live messenger on my Power Book G4 10.4.9 version. My wish is to download it so I can use the video communication feature on it with family members who only have a pc not a mac. I now there are programs macs can use between eachother but everyone with a pc is using the latest version of live messenger. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this problem if you know what I can do or what tghings to download so tyhis mac will download the messenger live. I have the messenger version just befeor the live version and then it seemed impossible to download. Like they had all of a sudden stopped the compatibility with messenger. I thought maybe it was because mac has now started to use the pentium, that they didnt need to allow for differences anymore. Anyway I thought their might be a third party program that might allow me to download the messenger live. I would really appreciate some help. i RANG SUPPORT AT APPLE AND THEY SAID TO DO THIS. Microsoft Office is not available in the App Store. Instead, you can purchase it in the Microsoft site > http://www.microsoft.com/mac
Note that there are other apps that do the same, like Apple iWork (available in the Mac App Store) or LibreOffice, open-source and free. I recommend you to give LibreOffice a try.
If you are interested in Office for Windows, you can find it in the Microsoft Store or at shops

How do I download the latest version of Safari? I keep getting a message that my current version is no longer supported. Isn't there something I can just click on? I can't see how to actually download it (gen x, not as smart as I once was ), but please help me anyway.

You may have to settle for as recent of version of Firefox, as your OS X 10.6.8 will allow.
Even an older archived Firefox would be more recent than Safari from that era.

The method to get a later version of Safari, would be to see if the computer can be upgraded
to a later fully new OS X which includes a period-correct Safari version. That's about it.
And an upgrade to a later OSX may compromise the kind of computing experience you'd
found acceptable with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I'd consider a later computer, as a vehicle to
access later OS X versions, and keep the older computer (with backups) in Snow Leopard.
The online App Store may suggest a later OS X version than you have. The latest it may
(or not) support is Yosemite. That would likely require a RAM upgrade and perhaps a new
hard disk drive of faster rotational speed, or perhaps an upgrade to SSD, to add speed to
allow the bulkier newer OS X to work OK. Then you may need to get newer applications.
Other available OS X versions, not as new as Yosemite, would be available by purchase
in the Apple Store online. A code would be sent to your email, to unlock these downloads.
If you fall into the potential upgrade trap, be sure to create viable external clone or bootable
copy of your current system on external device; and have backup Time Machine archive, too.
In any event... there isn't a newer Safari for Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

I have Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. When I connect my iPhone 5S, I get the following message "The iPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.2 or later. Go to itunes to download the latest version."
When I go to iTunes, the software update says there is one available. I follow the prompts however, and the download doesn't work. Maybe I don't have enough memory? Help please!

Based on the information that you gave, you would at least need to update to OS X Lion (10.7), as that is the Mac System Requirements to get the latest version of iTunes. If you have a custom pack that references a 2012 version of a library MP, then you probably need to ask the vendor or developer of the customer pack the the library pack. I do not believe MSFT offers download of library packs, specifically. If you're on
SCOM 2007 R2, and this is a SCOM 2012 version of the library, then you cannot import a schema v2 library.

If you have another Mac, open the App Store, log in with your Apple ID, go to Purchases and download Logic Pro X. Then, copy it to an external drive (it's saved in /Applications). Finally, copy Logic from the external drive to the Applications folder of your Mac desktop

What version of Photoshop are you running? You will need at CS5, CS6, CC or CC2014. Each version needs a different ACR-plug-in to open files from that camera.
If you are on CS4 or earlier, you'll need to upgrade—or, in the alternative; look for, download, instal, launch and run the free, stand-alone DNG Converter 8.6 on each file of raw NEF files to convert them to raw DNGs first so you can open them in your version of Photoshop and ACR plug-in higher than 2.4.

Before upgrading be sure you do the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions

Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Make a backup of your current system.
