How can i download the upgrade without backing up texts?
I want to download the upgrade, but I don't want my text messages backed up.
Is there a way to do this?

The guy who used his credentials to download the CC applications is gone. How can I get these recently purchased applications downloaded?
No that can not be done, you can cancel the CC under the old administrator & purchase new CC under the correct ID.

You can not change the look for the emotions on the stock sms applications but you can download Handcent that has a option that allows you to set different custom emotions looks..

I currently have Leopard, and there are no longer updates for it. So I must upgrade to either Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion. Without doing so I cannot update my itunes, and my ipod is no longer compatile with my mac. How can I buy the upgrade, since I do not have access to the mac store as that comes with Snow Leopard? I went to Best Buy and they said neither Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion can be bought there.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

Try downloading them onto the iPad normally. If you're asked to pay for them, you can't.
The developer needs to create the two versions separately.

Is the address on your account based in France ? The language of the stores should reflect the language of the country where your account is based, which isn't necessarily the same language as you've set on the device.
If your account isn't based in a French spealing country, then try logging out of the account (via Settings > Store) and then log back in (and also make sure that your address is correct and complete), and see if the language of the iTunes and App Store the reflect the language of the country where your account is based. -

It's getting ridiculous that every time i open iphoto that it insists in being upgraded and repaired. Anyone know how i can get rid of this without reinstalling it?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I've updated to the most recent version of iTunes and I can no longer see any of my old music on my mac. All the music is still available on my ipad. How can i download the music on my mac?
First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane.
