Hi, I purchased Adobe CS 5.5 Design premium (DVD) to install in my Macbook Air.
However due to something, my harddisk broke. And since it was pretty hard to install CS5.5 in Macbook Air (need to use Apple's external DVD-rom and stuff), I'm wondering if I can download it somewhere else and just input my current serial number.
If yes, can somebody tell me how? I tried to browse other similar questions, but no luck till now.

I can think of 2 ways to achieve this ,,
1) Copy the content from the DVD onto the Pen drive using a different computer , and then perform the desktop installation as per http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/install-creative-suite-5-cs5.html on your Mac ,
2) Download the CS5.5 from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html and please follow the instryction properly to avoid the "Access Denied" error

This is for uninstalling CS2, but you might find it helpful. EDITED: but watch out, since I don't know if trashing any of these will remove currently needed Illustrator files, if you have a later version.
To uninstall Adobe Creative Suite in Mac OS 1 -- Double-click Activity Monitor.app in Applications/Utilities, select AHCRemind, and click Quit Process.
2 -- If you intend to install the product on a different computer, transfer the activation. (See “To transfer the product activation” on page 1.)
3 -- If you want to uninstall Adobe Acrobat, double-click the uninstaller in Applications/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, and follow the on-screen instructions.
4 -- If you want to uninstall Version Cue 2, double-click the uninstaller in Applications/Adobe VersionCue CS2, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If the Version Cue uninstaller fails, see the alternative procecure, “To remove Version Cue manually” on page 4.
5 -- From the Applications folder, drag the following items, if present, to the trash: Note: After you drag the items to the trash in steps 5-8, you must empty the trash before you can reinstall

To remove Version Cue manually (Mac OS only, not recommended)
If you’ve accidentally removed parts of the Version Cue installation manually or if the uninstaller fails, you have to remove the remaining installed Version Cue components manually.

According to Wikipedia, 4 years ago you would most likely have bought Photoshop CS5.
You can download Photoshop CS5 from Adobe. Start here:

You'll need your serial number to activate it. If you don't have that, you can likely find it on Adobe's main web site after you've logged-in with your Adobe ID. See the Find your serial number quickly link to pursue that.

Snow Leopard must be at least version 10.6.6 to access the Mac app store. Use Apple menu > About this Mac to determine the version you have installed. Use Software Update to update the OS, if necessary.

You can use iTunes to sync the two devices. See the KB article, iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer and iTunes for Mac: sync contacts, calendar and other info.
If you want to use iCloud, your MacBook needs to use at least OS 10.7.4 or later. See Set up iCloud on all your Devices.

You can have Adobe Reader 9 and Adobe Reader XI downloaded on your machine. (You can keep setup.exe files) but you can't use 2 versions of Adobe reader on your computer as newer version removes the older version.

You can't. Once a phone is upgraded it cannot be downgraded.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.

No, sorry, that's not how forums work. We are just ordinary people, not employed by Adobe (and Adobe won't help, because it's free software).
Step 1. Try to get the file you want on screen. I expect you to see the message "If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document"
Step 2. Understand you are looking at a page of a file, even though it looks like an error message. It is in a window, right?
Step 3. Move your mouse towards the bottom of the window. Stop moving the mouse. A little bar should appear with four buttons.
Step 4. Click the fourth button.
Step 5. Open FINDER.
Step 6. Open Downloads from your left bar.
Step 7. Find the file you just downloaded.
Step 8. Double click on that file to open it.
Please do not skip anything, just because you don't understand it. Instead, let us know.
If these instructions let you down, please let us know (a) on which step, and (b) what actually happens instead of what I said.
