How can I duplicate a photo in the Ipad photo program?

HOw can I duplicate photos in the original ipad photo program? I wanted to blow up a part of a picture, but also keep the original.

The Photos App keeps the original with editing added as changes to the original. You can always revert back to the original.
Other photo editing Apps may also provide the capability to save the modified version with the changes incorporated. For example, Photo Editor

you are using I tunes as the middle man for this back up, right?
When you plug in the pad to i tunes, give it a unique name, like my pad. I tune may be thinking it is talking to your phone. It will keep track of what you what on each device. Then plug your phone back in, and make sure your photos are uploaded to the computer - in i photo if you are using a mac, or in whatever photo program you are using on a windows device. You also want to make sure you have uploaded to the computer all of your music.
Once you get all that stuff there, plug the pad back in, and go through each of the tabs - selecting the music, photos etal that you want on the pad, then resync.

You can only install apps from the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app directly on the iPad. Does the maker of the CD have an app in the store with the CD contents already in it ?

As long as you have all of the content in your library then that remove and sync warning shouldn't cause any loss of data, but it shouldn't be happening every time. It may pay to take the following steps to reset the connection between the two,
Backup device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.
Again, this assumes all content on the device is in your library. If that isn't the case see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first.

How can I edit events in on the iPad syncing with mobileme beta version?

We use MobileMe to sync events in Cal between an iMac, a MacBook and 2 iPhones. We just migrated to the beta version of Calendar in Mobile me and it works fine. We share calendars between our machine successfully using MobileMe (Beta).
We just got a brand new iPad (WiFi 16GB) and configured it without problem except one. All the events are visible but cannot be edited on it. We can create a new event on the iPad but it won't show on the iMac.
This issue does not exist with the Contacts or the Mails
I guess this requires a specific parameter setting in MobileMe in this case. What do we need to change?

My 5 year old iMac's hard drive is at the point of failing. I'm trying to save al files on it, but it wont allow backup via Time Machine to an external hard drive. How can I keep from losing all the files and programs if the hard drive fails?

I'm concerned that my iMac, purchased 5 years ago, is about the crash and I can't back up my files and programs to an external hard drive via Time Machine because the computer freezes after only a couple hundred MB and gets nowhere near the required amount.
How can I save these files and programs if the computer hard drive fails or has to be replaced without the backup being able to be done? I need to do something quickly, but I'm not sure what I can or should be doing.

Get an external hard drive, some good ones that I like are the OWC, http://www.macsales.com Mercury Elite Pro drives...they are very good and reasonably priced.
Get the drive, connect via USB or FireWire, then use Disk Utility to format the new drive as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled), and then use Disk Utility to Restore the current drive to the new drive. Restore actually clones the drive so you will have a bootable backup on the external drive.
After you have formatted and named the external drive, click Restore in the main Disk Utility window, drag the name of the old hard drive to the Source box, and drag the name of the new external drive to the Destination box. DU will make an exact clone of the internal drive on the external drive.
That clone will be a complete backup of the operating system and all of your data.
You can test it by restarting the iMac and hold the Option key. That will give you a grey screen showing all bootable drives. Just click the external drive, then click the upward pointing arrow under it and the iMac will boot from that drive.

I can easily choose and attach one picture from Photos to an email in Mail. I cannot seem to figure out how to choose multiple pictures, then attach all of them at once. I even tried using a separate folder to attach but that did not work either. Thanks in advance.

Tap to select up to 5 photos. More and the Mail option is not possible.

Brilliant! That worked like a charm.
I created a new User Account on one of my Macs and logged into it. I connected my iPhone to its iTunes and checked my iPhone's Sync Contacts option in iTunes. Since that account's address book was basically empty (two dummy contacts, one for Apple and one for this new user), I ended up with only those two Contacts on the phone. Then, going back to my real User account (which does not have syncing turned on in iTunes) the phone synced nicely with the MobileMe account and populated the phone with all the MobileMe contacts and groups.

You need to give some details about what it is you want to do, because ASCII Characters are what are already on the keyboard. It is non-ASCII that you might need to copy/paste.

I think you can be sure that Apple is never going to include a feature in iOS that has you input special characters by typing in numbers like Windows does it. Mac's have always used a different approach.

Using .NET Framework 4.0 what features are available that would allow to accomplish something very modular and user customizable, like depicted in this XML. Where I define specific base operations like Get() and Put() methods that operate on strings.
And allow the user to add and remove those or mix and match them in a way that they basically design their own run time functionality that suits them. So they just create their own 'Operation' and fill it with the operations they want to perform on some
incoming data type, in this case it is a string - with substring and insert methods.
EDIT - Assuming end user is non programmer and Dynamic Code compilation is not an option. I have an idea maybe using dynamic keyword, but not sure if it makes what i suggest possible.
