How can I easily see the areas that I am painting back from a mask?
I have an image that I applied a Color Balance adjustment layer to, I added CYAN and then I hit Option + Delete on the layer and now I am selectively painting the Cyan color on my image.There are some parts where I have to paint through metal mesh and I'm having a hard time seeing which parts I applied the paint to and which parts I did not, and also where I may have overpainted onto areas I did not want to.
Is there an easy way to see which parts have been painted back and which have not?

The red shows, or is, your mask.
I think you'll find less confusion sticking witht he layers panel for now.
There are two ways to view your mask directly from the layers pallet: Opt+clicking the mask shows a BW version of it. Opt+Shift+clicking on it shows you the red rubilith version of it. Red is the default color, but in many instances another color might be more visible, depending on the colors within your image. At the bottom of the tool pallet is the quick mask icon: double click it to choose the color and opacity of your choice.

You also may have one streaming item in your library that would not be synced to your iPhone.
You can try making a smart playlist where Media Kind is Music Video, or Kind contains Stream.

I have a OSX version 10.7.5. On Safari mail I can no longer see the information that usually appears at the beginning of an incoming email, like the date, senders details etc. What do I do to be able to see this again?
No, I get my mail on my computer, not on a website. I used to be able to see the information but in sorting another issue I must have changed a setting or something. I have gone to View. Under Message Attributes most things are ticked but many of them are not bold print i.e. they are pale grey. I don't know how to activate them again.

My hard drived crashed in my HP Pavilion desktop and I have installed a new one. I have Windows 2007. My Itunes library is gone. How can I get all the music that I loaded onto my iPod from my own CD's back into an Itunes library?
The loading of audio files to iPod is designed to go one way only: computer to iPod. There are some third-party applications available which will rescue an audio library and write the files back to a PC HDD. The playlists might not copy, nor the album art work, nor videos but you might be able to recover all audio files. Some apps are open source and available for free download, for example: Senuti, Onyx. There are others which are Windows-based; do a Google search to find out.

Thanks much!When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer? Your iTunes library does not have an email address. An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases. Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password). That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS. This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE: If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).

I have used Airport Time Capsule with my iMac for a couple years. I recently purchased a MacBook Air and when it tried to backup to Time Capsule it couldn't because Time Capsule is full. How can I now use the 3TB Airport Time Capsule to back up both the iMac and MacBook Air? I don't mind losing earlier backups. I have excluded some items from backing up, but since the Airport Time Capsule is full, I can't even begin to back up the MacBook Air.
On your Mac.......
Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click on the Disks tab at the top of the window
Click Erase Disk
On the next window that appears, select the Quick Erase option, then click Erase
The operation will only take a few minutes.
Now you are ready to start new backups of both Macs. Back up one Mac first, then back up the other. Do not try to back up both Macs as the same time. -

Looking at web pages some key words are underlined or marked. Moving the cursor across them brings out a flag with directions to ask what it is. It is very annoying and I spend more time trying to get rid of them than enjoying the reading. This was not there several years ago but has become increasingly frequent. How can I turn this OFF. I am not a computer expert.
Are you perhaps using Google Calendar as your main calendar service? There is an option in Google Calendar to have text alerts sent to your phone for events. Log into Google Calendar on your computer and disable that feature.
If you're using a different calendar service, see if they have a similar set up. -
How can I retrieve all the CONTACTS that were deleted after the sync of iphone to Mac?
After I backed up my iphone onto my Mac computer I was asked If I wanted to save the photos from my phone. I said DELETE. Then I discovered my address and phone numbers (CONTACTS) went empty in the iphone. How can I reverse my DELETE and get these Contacts back to the iphone?
iCloud maintains a database of your contacts which it uses to keep all devices and computers connected to the same iCloud account in sync. If you ever wonder whether you've lost contacts because they do not appear on a device or mac/pc, you should log into iCloud.com using a computer's browser and go to the Contacts page. You should find your contacts there. If there but they do not appear on your device, see below for instructions. If they are not there, then for one reason or another, they have been deleted. See below for options if this is the case.
Getting contacts from iCloud to a device.
Your device/computer needs to be connected to the proper account in iCloud and have contacts set for syncing. Go to Settings>iCloud (for a device) or System Preferences>iCloud (for a mac - can't help you with a PC, but hopefully you'll know where to go). Be sure iCloud is turn on and that you have the right account. If you need to change the account, scroll to bottom of screen (device) and tap Delete Account. Find a similar button on a mac. This will not delete data from iCloud, it only disconnects the device/mac from the current account. Then enter ID/password for the correct account. Next, be sure Contacts is turned on. [If it has been turned on, try turning off and then back on. If still not working, disconnect from iCloud and connect again.] You should get your contacts back.
Contacts are gone from icloud.com.
Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone.
