PDF is an end destination format - although Acrobat is capable of making minor changes to a file (e.g. to correct typos) it is not a word processor or DTP application. Major changes must be done in the original document, and the PDF file re-exported.
You can copy text from a file by selecting it and right-clicking, or you can save the file as plain or formatted text. To make small changes to the text on a page, use the touchup tool - see the help file for more info.

I've checked your account, and couldn't see what version of Acrobat that you have. You may be referring to the Acrobat DC which Adobe announced this week, but that isn't available just yet.
So, for the time being, you'll need to use Acrobat Pro XI or earlier to edit PDF files. You can download a 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Which version of Acrobat do you have? If Reader, then you can't edit a PDF at all, and you can only copy it if it was enabled by the creator of the document.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.

The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You may want to check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.

Illy just sees a bunch of pixels as do the rest of us.
You may use Image/Live Trace with suitable settings, expand, and let her work with the resulting vector artwork.
Or you may draw a (set of path(s) round the part(s) you want to keep (turning htem into a compound path in case of multiple paths, then select everything and Object>Clipping Mask>Make. That will only hide the outlying parts (unless you do the destructive deed), and you only have limited ways of (further) editing.
Or you may work in Photoshop or similar.

I have created an output xml variable with the same schema as the input pdf document.
I have created a process with set value service which assign the input pdf into the xml variable(so that i ll get the data from the pdf in to xml)
Is the above approch is correct ..

The fact that you have used a schema merely meand that the submission of the form data will be in the format defined by the schema. Generally when you submit the form you associate an XML variable in the user step to recieve that data (this assumes that your form is setup to submit xdp data). If you associate your schema with that XML variable you will be able to expand and see teh structure of your schema when using SetValue services etc. If you are merely interested in getting what was submitted (say to validate the data against the schema) you will have to assign the inbound data to another variable and remove the outer nodes that were added for our internal purposes (xfa.datasets.data). This is done in a setValue where you woudl use an XPath expresion of xfa/datasets/data/* (meaning that all nodes below the data norde are copied to the named variable.

Acrobat 7 Pro (at 7.1.0 and, at least, the dot release prior to 7.1.0) has the Typewriter tool.
Tools > Typewriter > Show Typewriter Toolbar.
A PDF containing page content that reflects a "form" (lines to add text, boxes to mark, etc.), while a "PDF", is not a "PDF Form".
This later critter will have form fields that you can complete. Can get rather fancy.
Old Acrobat Form methods are still possible with Acrobat but, in the last several Acrobat releases "LifeCycle Designer" has been bundled.
This permits one to create "dynamic" forms (uses a flavor of XML that is "wrapped" in PDF).
So when anyone talks to the topic of "PDF form(s)" listeners often think the topic is an Acrobat or LifeCycle form rather than PDF page content that reflects an electronic version of a static, paper form.
With that said, I think you are alluding to a PDF that is page content reflecting a paper form and has no form "fields" to facilitate filling out.
So, if your version of Acrobat 7 has "Typewriter" then this tool will be found under menu item "Tools".
It does surprise me that a fedgov form is not "fillable".

I understand there are some third-party utilities that will allow you to convert a PDF to an InDesign file. But, as PDF is intended to be a final format, Adobe doesn't offer this capability. Are you unable to make the edits that you need by opening the PDF in Acrobat?
