How can I edit/change/update/remove album artwork for a song in iCloud?

Dear Community,
my problem is the following.
I'm editing my songs/albums artworks and when I change these artworks, iTunes Match syncs my artworks back to the original ones.
I've tried a lot of things, read a lot of discussions but I didn't find a solution for this problem.
For example:
I've deleted for an album all of my songs artworks, then set the good one. Then I've done an update for iTunes Match in Store menu. My artworks didn't changed on an Apple TV2
If I just delete the artworks, do an iTunes Match upgrade, the artworks on an iPhone 4S & Apple TV2 remains the same (I've also removed the songs from my iPhone and redownloaded them...)
I used TuneUp iTunes plugin for song identifying. It did a very good job, changed my artworks, my metadata, everything looked good. After a few minutes iTunes Match synced, the artworks restored to the old ones, but the metadata info didn't changed, it is updated in iCloud too.
I'm also tried to get artworks from iTunes, it worked very well for some albums, but again: iTunes Match synced...
I've turned off iTunes Match, done the album editing. Again when I've turned on iTunes Match, the album artworks restored..
In my opinion if I use a cloud service, anything I do locally in my iTunes library, it should sync up to the cloud. EVERYTHING means music, music metadata, music artwork etc.
So what is the solution?
What can be the reason all of this?
Someone has the same issue?
Is it a bug?
One more thing
In this album all of my songs has the same artwork (David Guetta: One Love)
Look at the BRAVO hits cover

Try this, it has worked for me.
1. Make a new, empty iTune library by launching iTunes while holding down the Option key.
2. Choose create new library; do NOT have iTunes scan for music.
3. Enable iTunes Match on the empty library.
4. Find the tracks with the wrong artwork, highlight them, Get Info and paste the correct artwork into the "artwork" field.
5. When finished update iTunes Match, then re-launch iTunes while holding down the Option key and chose select library to get back to the "master" library.

  • On my ipod touch 4g, its showing the incorrect album artwork for the songs

On my ipod touch 4g it's showing incorrect album artwork. I have music I bought from iTunes and some music from the internet that isn't included in iTunes. The problem has been going on for a while but i've ignored it but now I would like the correct album artwork for each song. First, I deleted every single song in my itunes iTunes libaray, then synced my ipod. Then i put the music i bought from iTunes in my libaray and synced it and the album artwork that showed was from songs and albums that I had deleted from my iTunes libaray. It's becoming a very fustrating problem that I would like to be solved.

  • How To Get Album Artwork  for my Songs?

Is there anyway that I can get album art for my songs, I tried the Get Albums from Itunes, but I need an account with a credit card, I have no way of getting that. is there any other ways I can get album pictures other than Doing it manually?

No, you don't need a credit card to start an account. Go get or have someone get you an iTunes giftcard, redeem the card to open your account.

  • IPod Photo won't display album artwork for purchased songs

I bought some songs on the ITunes Music Store, and I can see the album artwork on the ITunes, I can also see in my IPod the artwork for most of the songs that I've downloaded, but I CAN'T see the artwork for those recently purchased.
I also noticed that when I purchased songs I had a duplicated file for each one of them, stored in \iTunes\iTunes Music\ and \My Downloads\ respectively, so I deleted the copies from \My Downloads\
Bottom line is, I can see all the album artwork in my iTunes, but my iPod Photo won't display some of it (specifically, the songs that I purchased)

Probably, the easiest way to resolve this is to copy the artwork from one song on an album and paste it into every song on that album.
In your iTunes Library, choose an album that has artwork issues; choose one track that has the artwork and copy it. Then:
the slightly longer method is to check each song individually, until you find the one with the missing artwork. Paste (the copy previously made) from one of the other tracks on the album.
a slightly quicker method is to highlight all the songs on that album (make sure it is just that one album) and paste the artwork into the box.
Sync the iPod with your iTunes Library.

  • IPhone does not show album artwork for some songs!

My iPhone recently stopped showing album artwork for newly added music....
I tried to add the album artwork thousand time but no use...
    Restore didnt help as well...
    Any solutions?

no, it shows only for some, the old ones...not the newly imported ones
I select all the songs from the album, I drag the picture -from folder or safari- then i drop it in the artwork box...
sometimes shows for the first song only, but always shows for the album little preview, and never for the rest of the songs...

  • How can I edit mp3 info w/o iTunes for free?

I just switched from a PC to a Macbook Pro. On my PC, I simply right-clicked on an mp3 file, clicked properties, & I edited all of the info contained within that mp3 file. Then, once cleaned up, I imported the mp3 files into iTunes. So now I want to edit some mp3 info on a bunch of mp3 files on my Macbook Pro before I import them into iTunes. I tried editing in the "Get Info" window, but it's not editable. So how can I do this? And how do I do this for free? I'd prefer not to have to download a program to do what seems like such a simple task, but If I have to use another program, I want something that is clean, simple, & free. Thanks.

    Hi Ingo,
Not sure that you read my entire entry. I want to edit the mp3 files BEFORE importing them into iTunes. I have dozens of albums & songs that are missing tons of info like title, artist, track #, etc, or the mp3 files have info in them that I don't want. I'd prefer to edit them & clean them all up first before importing them all into iTunes because they will just have blank boxes & they will all be grouped together at the bottom of my iTunes window, & I won't know which file is which. Right now they're in seperate folders, so I know which artist & album they are. maybe there's a way to do this in iTunes, but from my experience, I've always had trouble knowing which file is with which artist / album when I import several albums missing key info. That's why I like to add it before importing. I guess I could just import 1 album at a time, but that seems very time consuming. Let me know what you think.

  • How can I quickly get the same album art for all tracks on an album without manually doing them one at a time?

I am having trouble with album art linked to each track. My library is ripped from my own cd's and ITunes only provides some of the artwork from a find artwork search. The rest must be found and added one at a time manually from web. This process is tedious and time consuming for me. Is there a file in iTunes related to each album that I can just drop the art once and it shows up linked to all the tracks from that album when they play? I've tried selecting all songs from an album and dragging the artwork to the artwork window once in hopes of all tracks getting the artwork at the same time with no luck. Any advice for this paltry artwork dilemma would be appreciated. If Cassidy & Greene still owned this ******* child of SoundJam I know I would not be having this problem! HaHa...Thanks for any advice/help with this problem.

Thx 4 quick reply alexbird. Your method will work and after a little experimenting so will this: Just go to the album art view option and highlight the album you want artwork for. Drag the artwork from your album art web search page to bottom left hand album art window in iTunes and just drop it there. A small progress window then appears showing each album track adopting the dropped artwork one by one. It only takes 10-15 seconds for all of the tracks on your album to adopt the new artwork. I then went back and removed unwanted artwork(from the albums that had it) track by track from the get info menu. This goes pretty quick as you just pick track>get info>artwork>highlight art>delete>ok for each track.
This drag/drop to the album art view page has been the simplest and most effective way I have discovered to manually import album artwork into iTunes so far. Hope this helps someone else out there. Any other methods or suggestions to do this task added to this thread will be duly noted. Thx... Oh, I am currently using iTunes 10.5.1

  • Suddenly my new itouch shows the incorect album artwork for some songs, but only on teh device - the itunes library on ym computer is correct.  I did resync but non change.  any ideas on how to get it to match again?

Got my new itouch and after some minor issue syncing, i was able to get everything set up.  However I  just noticed that soem of the album artwork is not matched up to the song that is currently playing.  I also sometimes, after syncing, I get a message stating "iTunes unable to load data class information from Sync Services.  Reconnect or try again later."    Any ideas on hwo to get the artwork realigned to the correct songs?

Try this, it has worked for me.

    2. Choose create new library; do NOT have iTunes scan for music.
    3. Enable iTunes Match on the empty library.

  • Album Artwork for individual songs, not albums?

I'm wondering if this is possible--I'd like to use the "download artwork automatically" option, but want to know if there's any way to have it download artwork for only the first track on each album.
I was able to fit A LOT more music on my Nano when I deleted the artwork from subsequent (2+) tracks on each album.
    Any ideas???
I'd also like to know if iTunes is "smart enough" to NOT transfer artwork to a Shuffle--no screen, so no reason to have the art. I just ordered a Green 2nd gen Shuffle and of course want to cram as much music on there as possible.

That does help, thanks! If the album art isn't embedded in the file, does that mean that it won't take up extra space on my device?
I use an old 4th gen iPod as a jukebox at my office, and it's running out of room so I don't want it to "blow up" the next time I connect it to my computer to add a song and it tries to add the artwork I downloaded to every file. . .
Sorry for all the idiot questions, sometimes I find that iTunes it *too easy* to use--it doesn't provide all of the options and arcane info in the help file that I'm used to with other apps!

  • Can't edit/change the information on some of my songs

    Hi everyone
The information on some of the songs in my library can't be edited.
I thought it might be a tagging type problem so I went to Advanced menu and the 'Convert ID3 Tags' menu item is greyed out.
    These aren't purchaced songs.
I've looked at the files in Finder and I've got Read/Write permissions.
Does anyone know what's up and how I can get round or correct this?
    Thx in advance.
    Sam

Has anybody else had this problem?

  • Can't change Artist or Album name for multiple songs now.

I can no longer select an entire group of songs and change the name of the artist or album.  It just ignores my changes.  I can change individual items with no problem, but that is incredibly time consuming if I want to change the name of one of these for an entire group of songs.
    iTunes 12.0.1.26
Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
    i7-2600K CPU @ 3.4 GHz
    16 GB Memory
6 hard drives with at least 5 T of storage in all

It works here. It should work for you too.
See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows. It isn't entirely clear but as far as I can tell it seems as if some iTunes file activity is undertaken using the user's security account, and some via the SYSTEM account. If your media has moved between systems then there is a possibility that the permissions aren't ideal and perhaps one of the accounts is blocked.
Alternatively hold down Shift as you Right-click > Get Info and you get the old dialog box which may work better.

  • How can I get the BPM information to populate for the songs in my iTunes library?

I'm trying to create playlists for my Aquatics classes as well as for walking. Is there something that needs to be set in iTunes? Do I need to purchase additional software?

iTunes does not measure BPM, so you'll either need to type in the information yourself or use a third-party product to determine the BPM. If you search MacUpdate for "BPM", you'll find a few such utilities, though the automatic utilities are in my experience often not particularly accurate.
