You do not want to edit material from different frame rates on one timeline. You CAN do this, but it is a very bad idea - and this is why.
Once you establish the sequence frame rate - lets say it is PAL material at 25fps, any material that you drop into the sequence other than 25 fps will have to be changed to play at 25 fps. If the material you add is NTSC (29.97), FCP will DROP 5 frames per sec to bring the frame rate down to 25 fps. Which 5 get thrown away? Every 6th one. This yields a funky cadence that becomes even more complex as as there are also interlaced fields (DV/NTSC is an interlaced format). Oh, and by the way, the image sizes are different as well. DV/PAL has 576 lines of resolution and DV/NTSC has 480. FCP has to scale up the NTSC to fit the PAL frame.
You do not want FCP adjusting these things on the fly. You want to do a thoughtful (and time consuming) conversion so that you end up with all your material in one format with the best possible image from the conversion process. Compressor can do an adequate job with Frame Controls turned on. The Natress Standards Conversion FCP plugin is another way to go. A third option is to find a post house that can do the conversion for you using a hardware based process.
The good news is, once everything is in the same format, editing it will be painless and the output process very quick.
Whatever frame rate/ image size you select, I'd suggest using ProRes for the codec. It is 4:2:2 color and will withstand color correction and composting with much more grace than any variant of DV based codecs.

Relink project clips with different frame rate
Somehow the clips in my project sequence ended up with a different frame rate (25) than the original media files (23.95), and they are no longer linked -- maybe this happened during import from iMovie. When I try to relink project files to source media, I get an error message saying they cannot be relinked because they have a different frame rate. I changed the sequence framerate to 23.95 (by creating a new project with 23.95 as the frame rate, then copying and pasting the other timeline into it), but all the clips remain at 25, so the problem remains.
How can I change the clip properties to frame rate 23.95 so I can link to the original media?

How can I use two sequences w/ different frame rates
I shot wedding (on Sony Z5) initially (1st tape) in DV widescreen (29.97/ 30 fps) but tapes 2, 3 & 4 were shot 1080p24 fps Big mistake; now obvious.
Edited all in FCP 6. On trying to cut & paste sequences together I get " cannot nest sequences with different editing timebases".
I have 23 min.intro/ ceremony sequence as stand alone QT mov now. How can I best convert that and/or merge it w/ the rest ( 62 min. 24 fps sequences), or perform other action to unite the diff frame rates into one, w/ best looking quality for the DVD/ bride & groom? Trying to beat Xmas deadline...

Ordinarily, I'd conform to the format that the majority of the footage was shot in. But if you're going to DVD, and it's going to be compressed to 480 anyway, then why not down convert the 1080 footage to 480?. At the same time, I would imagine re-timing the 24 (23.98?) to 29.97 would look reasonably consistent with the 29.97 SD.
This could be done in FCP, but I think Compressor will produce a better result. The adjustments you need are in the Settings menu in the Encoder (with Audio set to pass through), Geometry (720x480 16:9 Anamorphic), and Frame Controls (Resize Filter set to Best).
This will not be a short encode, so I would first test a short section to double check your settings and sound sync are right, and to compare against the quality of tape 1.

How can I create multiple pages, with different layouts to the others, in DW fluid grid layouts?

I am creating a website using FGL in DW CS6, v12.0 build 5808. I do not have Creative Cloud (do you have to pay to use this service?).
I have created one layout for my home page.
I would like to create several more pages, but I want them to use different layouts (as well as different content).
I tried to do something similar before using 'save as' (this was with a non-FGL), but whenever I changed the original page that I had 'save as'd' from, the layout in all the other pages would change too!

I'm a bit scared of breaking everything, as I am new to web design and have had to restart the whole process a few times due to messing up the fluid.css etc and other issues, so I am taking baby steps.
Happy to try whatever's suggested and, while I wait for (I hope) your responses, I think I will try the template thing, but from the reply the person who asked the question gave, it sounds like his subsequent pages changed too, as I mentioned above? *scared* ; )

I tried using different IDs for the other pages, but eventually one of the divs seems to 'break' - it overlaps other divs, or cannot be moved or resized (you can select the outline and it goes blue, but no 'move up a row' or down a row or 'lock to grid' etc icons appear and it can't be drag-re-sized), plus the green overlay disappears (just from that div. I'm aware of how to turn visual aids on and off), so it seems broken. This often seems to happen if you rename a div once it's been created; it does not rename in the layout.css on the right side panel (CSS Styles) in DW and the 'broken' behaviour above is exhibited. Do you know anything about this? Is this the 'edit this doc at your peril' stuff that most tutorials seem to mention? Am I doing something wrong?
I also tried making an FGL and saving out the original boilerplate.css, layout.css and respond.js. Then created multiple new FGLs and each time it created new versions of layout.css (called 'untitled-1', 2 etc.). Once I had created all the FGLs, I deleted all the new boilerplates and untitled.css files. Then restored the original ones and changed the link at the top of each page's html to refer to the same filename (the original layout.css), rather than untitled.css. I thought this might work and it seemed to for a while, but then as I had to add new div names for the sections on each page, it eventually broke (as above).
Anyway, I think you have a good point about different layouts and it occurred to me also while I was exploring and waiting for replies here. I think I will make one layout for all pages and go with that. I have a couple of questions about that though:
1. I think the max number of divs I want for one of the pages is 10, but some pages need less divs. If I only fill e.g. 8 divs on one page, will the other ones be sat there empty? I think they will actually...I guess I'm asking because I have not tried it yet (will do after this) and it takes so long to do this trial and error.
2. If the amount of content in each div is different, e.g. let's say Page 1 has 6 lines of content in div1, but page 2 may have an unlimited amount of content (I will want to add to it in the future). Will this result in the div on page 1 being a huge block of empty space after its 6 lines?

How Can I change a report with base in another in the same dashboard?

I need to publish two reports in a dashboard, the first report is a list of values and the second report is a chart. When I click in a value of the first report, the second report must change with the value selected from the first report.
I first created the first report, and I changed the column properties in the data format, I selected treat text as: "Custom Text Format", the Custom Text Format is:

The second Report has the next filter: FIELD is equal to / is in @{NQ_SESSION.@}
With this the first and second reports works well, however, when I include the two reports in dashboard, the second report is updated in another window not in the same section.
How Can I change the second report in the same page or section where this the first report?

Edwin GuerreroI am not sure whether this would work but worth a try. Create a third report which would call the 2nd report using iframe and GO URL. Name the iframe of the narrative view. And use the java script to update the iframe using objWin = window.open(<ur go url>, “biee”,”height=480,width=240,scrollbars=yes,resizeable=yes”);. I had used a similar method to integrate biee with mapviewer. I have an iPhone 3s and my sister has an iPhone 3. We use them only as iPods. We each have our own iTunes account, but we have to share a computer. How can we both syn our devices without sharing our music and app libraries?
The most reliable way would be to set up individual user accounts in WIndows. Then each of your iTunes libraries will be completely separate.

I am trying to open 20-25 files at the same time as Photoshop Raw [*.RAW] files.
The only way I can open multiple files is if i leave the file type as All Formats. When I change it to Photoshop Raw [*.RAW], the files a deselected.Use bridge. Select all the files then press ctrl-r or cmd-r to load the selected files into camera raw.
If you try this in Photoshop use File>Open As then for file type choose camera raw. (I have not tested open as for opening multiple files) -

I'm running a series of select statements using SQLPlus and I want the results for each statement to be copied to different worksheets within the same workbook.
For example, this is what I want: 'select statement 1' is run and spooled to file.csv / worksheet1. When 'select statement 2' is run it is spooled to file.csv / worksheet2. Same csv file but a different worksheet.
Right now my SQL is creating a seperate csv file for each select statement. Here's an example of my SQL:

I would suggest that you generate separate csv files for each of your queries and then create a new xls file and import each csv file as a new worksheet.

How can I allow multiple users on XP pro to use the same itunes files
I'm new to this iPod/iTunes stuff and i would like to allow my family to use all the songs that I have on the computer. I installed iTunes 7.0 and loaded all 1800 songs using my user profile. I then let my wife signon and when i opened iTunes she couldn't see all the songs. I placed the iTunes directory in the /All Users/Shared Documents/shared music folder and i made the change to the iTunes preferences.
Other users on the same machine still can't see all the music.

anyone any tips or tricks?Those restrictions are generally part of the email provider, not just the phone. Attachments are restricted due to size, bandwith use, etc. Trying to send that much information in an email attachment is even restricted on a computer. Sharing via photo sites is generally a better option for large amounts of pictures and large video files.

On your iOS devices go to Settings>Messages>Receive At and check the Apple ID at the top. You can check FaceTime at Settings>FaceTime. You can check iCloud at Settings>iCloud>Account. On your Mac go to System Preferences>iCloud> click on Account Details. On your PC go to Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet>iCloud (you Apple ID is listed on the left).

Paid content purchased from the itunes store is always assigned to a single apple id. You will be unable to use the purchased content on another apple id.
Next time you change your apple id instead of creating an entire new apple id just change the primary email address to the email you would like to use.
e.g. current apple id is [email protected] but you want to change it. what you do is:
- go to appleid.apple.com
- select manage apple id
- sign in
From here what you want to do is change/edit your current primary email which in this case is [email protected] Simply select edit and enter the new email you would like as your apple id. Lastly you will be sent a verification email to verify the email addres and TADA your done. -
I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong. How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?
If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter. If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
How large a date change are you putting in? iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time. If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
If that is not the case:
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.

How can I return multiple values with PL/SQL Web Services

I'm new to developping Web Services. I'm doing some tests with JDeveloper and OC4J on my local machine with a Web Services based on a PL/SQL function within a package. Right now that function only returns one value. So the xml response only has one output.
I'd like to know how can I return multiple values with my PL/SQL Web Service. For example, if I want to return an employee's name and id? And that the xml contains two output : <employee>, <empid>?
