What can I do to eject a disk, that won't eject. from my iBook G4?

If it is trying to eject and won't it may be that the slot opening
is blocked by the protective cover. Mine was torn and after a couple of attempts
to repair it I ended up removing it.

Press the mouse while your Mac is starting until the disc is ejected. If it doesn't work, hold Command and S keys while your Mac is starting, and type:
drutil eject
exit
If this doesn't work, the disc is stuck and your SuperDrive has to be replaced, so take it to an Apple Store or reseller. Another option is to use an external disc drive.
If the last step doesn't work, other steps won't work because there isn't any app using the disc

Why would you be surprised? You were syncing your Notes with iCloud or a Mail Account. Synchronization means when you make a change on one device, it affects all other devices that are synched for the same purpose. Like when you delete an email (usually) it also disappears from your other devices as well.

Go to Mail menu > window > Previous recipients > where you can delete previous contacts to your heart's delight.

I use my iPhone for work as well as personal. However for work, I have noticed that when someone rings me, for instance Bob Mansfield from Com tec, the phone screen states just 'Bob' and no other details. I have the best part of 6 Bob's in my contacts all with different surnames and company's. Is there a way that I can get my phone to show more info on the person calling. Can anyone help me? I have 3 repeating, pop-up calendar items from my old.mac calendar that can not be edited in any way. I can't get to them to delete them. The calendar items do not show up in any other calendar, including icloud.

thanks for the feed back - that sounds a bit involved - have retrieved the files and placed them in a folder on my desktop - will have them if they are ever needed, excepted that I will have to look at them individually as all the names are EMLX.

How to delete a Word doc that won't highlight from Finder sidebar

I have a Word 'doc' in the sidebar in Finder which no longer either highlights or opens (it used to). I would like to delete it. If I double tap it I get: Open Sidebar Preferences which doesn't help. I have tried Command and both command and option and, because it will not even select (i.e. highlight) I can't drag it to trash or delete it. Any ideas how to delete it? I have successfully removed other Word docs from the sidebar.

I had a similar problem when I updated to iTunes 11. The problem seems to have been solved by doing the following:
Edit > Preferences > Store. Then unclick "Show iTunes in the Clous purchases". I hope it works!
