How can I eliminate delays in one NIC when there is traffic on second NIC

Using LabVIEW TCP/IP VIs, my LV application is accessing a database though a LAN, and through a second NIC, it is controlling an instrument. The instrument is connected directly to the computer NIC with a cross-over cable. I have made a permanent route for the IP address of the instrument in the IP route table. The LAN and the instrument have different subnet numbers. Using a packet sniffer, I don't see any traffic meant for the LAN going to the NIC connected to the instrument. The OS of the computer is Windows XP and the NICs are PCI cards.
The message traffic to the instrument suffers from intermittent delays when there is traffic going to the LAN.
How can I eliminate the delays? What could be the cause of the delays? Thanks in advance for your recommendations and suggestions.

Could you tell us a little more about the device that you are connected to? What you could try is to have a VI accessing the LAN, and a separate VI communicating with the instrument, and see how things play out.

I'm trying to see if this loop works ok,
I've done changing the final value parameter in TB manually
and confirmed my positioner works fine.
Now, I want to see if the FBAP loop works and see the change.
However, How do i change the desired input in PC ?
Do I just have to change the parameters in blocks manuallly ???
I tried to change the OUT value in teh AI block, but it's not responding at all.
Can I get some advices ??

TS1702 How can I eliminate duplicates in my devices when I sync?

I do not know if it is related to icloud but when I sync now I get duplicates in the calendar on my different devices. Ipod, IPAd1 and IPad 2.
I also would like my dedvice to sync my contacts and calendar from Outlook on my PC as prime feeder, it does not work too well...

If you are trying to sync from the Outlook calendar on the PC and you are syncing with iCloud - that is probably why you are getting duplicate entries.
So therefore, if you are getting duplicate entries - it must be syncing the Outlook calendar on the PC.

How can I play the current slide only when there is an audio recording?

I have a 10 slide presentation where I am recording audio one slide at a time. If I have the current slide selected and click play, Keynote plays from the beginning of the presentation.
Is there a way to have Keynote playback only the slide selected when audio is recorded?

I don't really have an answer for that. It usually boils down to complications when all combinations of possible uses are considered. One scenario may seem a no-brainer taken by itself, but not when other options are in play.
I was responding to your specific question about Quicktime recording. You could also use Garage Band, Audacity and the like, of course. Quicktime is just so much easier than any other option that I'm aware of for making short, simple, recordings.

How can I eliminate an I-Pod Touch app? I want to eliminate a few but don't want to "restore" and lose all of them. Is there any way to trash apps one at a time?

Go into itunes and delete the app then sync.
Or if you just want it off of the iphone and not out of itunes, then uncheck the app in the applications tab in itunes.
Or hold down an icon until they all "wiggle" then hit the 'x" in the corner. The app will come back when you sync unless you delete it from itunes or deselect it under applications tab.

The easiest way to fix the hosts file is to restore it from a backup that predates the modification, or to copy the unmodified file from another Mac. If you can't do that, then do as below.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
open -e /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Paste into a Terminal window by pressing command-V. A TextEdit window should open. At the top of the window, you should see this:

If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.

How can I eliminate the pointless top bar, close up the spaces between bars that are wasting space and reduce the depth of the tabs so that I have the space I had before for the websites I am looking at?

I have updated to the latest form of Mozilla Firefox, and the top of the screen is altered so that it occupies far more space than it used to do, leaving far less space for what I want to look at. Okay, I accept that this is just how it is, and there is nothing to be done about it, because no-one except me thinks that the icons and toolbars should be organised to take up minimum space in order to allocate maximum space to the page.
The crowning irony of all this is that, having updated to the latest Mozilla Firefox and consequently having this arrangement at the top of the page which I don't like, the middle of the page now comes up with its old message, 'You are not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade now.'

You want to disable the spell check in forms (e.g., data entry controls like the one I'm typing in right now)? You can do this using the about:config preferences editor.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''spell''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''layout.spellcheckDefault''' and change it to 0 (''zero'') and click OK.
You're done, you can close that tab.
The change should take effect the next time you reload the form.

Welcome to the forum.
I can think of three basic ways to accomplish what you wish to do:
Use the Project Archiver to archive your Project (and check the box to gather the media files), to an external HDD. Probably the easiest way to do it.
Copy the Project and ALL media files to an external HDD, but be prepared to relink the media files to the Project, as the drive letter (part of the Absolute Path) will have changed.
Edit loosely, and Share to an AV file, which will be Imported into a New Project on that second computer. Or, edit VERY tightly, and do the same. I like the first, as removing, replacing Transitions, etc., can be much more difficult, unless that "tight edit" is 100% done.
