How can I embed a Keynote presentation on a web page?

I created a Keynote presentation using Keynote version 6.5 (OS X Yosemite). I found the "export as html" option, which creates an entire web page named index.html. I opened that web page in Dreamweaver, but I'm not talented enough to figure out how to turn that page into a proper index.html page, including the graphics, background, and links (etc.) that I want on my sites home page.
I have also tried to embed the presentation onto a web page that I've already created, but I can't figure out how to do that, either.
Can someone tell me if it's possible to embed a custom-sized Keynote presentation onto a web page and, if so, how?
OR can you tell me how to edit the page that Keynote created when I open it up in Dreamweaver?
I think the former would be easier, given what I've seen when I try to do the latter.
I have been using Dreamweaver for many years - since before Adobe bought it - and the site I'm currently updating is already in Dreamweaver. That's why I'm asking about Dreamweaver (if you were curious).
Of course, I've probably not provided all the information you would need to help me, so please ask questions. I won't be offended if they point out my ignorance!
Thank you for any help you might provide.

The only workaround I found was to use the desktop version of Keynote, which allowed me to export the presentation as a set of images to iPhoto. From there, they show up as an album and can be brought back to the iPad, and then played as a looping slide show in the pictures app. It worked perfectly.

The iWork Public Beta allowed me to share Keynote presentations with anyone via the web. Now Apple tells me the Public Beta is being replaced by iCloud. How can I share a Keynote presentation online via iCloud? Must the presentation be downloaded to view?

iCloud is not designed for sharing data with other people: you will need a third-party alternative such as DropBox or Sugarsync.

How can i transfer a keynote presentation from an iPad to another iPad? I haven't a wifi connection.

Depends on how big the file is.  If itis only a couple of pages, or mostly text, the easiest way would be to e mail it.  If it is a very large file you are going to need wifi.  Take both pads to starbucks, and e mail it from there.  Or if you have wifi, use drop box, for example.
Your other choice, avoiding wifi would be a bluetooth type transfer.  There is an app call bluetooth file lite that reads like it will do what you need.   The good news is it is free.  The bad news is that it has terrible ratings.  For grins, i am installing it now on a pad and a phone, and will see if it works.
With a bluetooth method, you need both devices in  the same place.  If you are trying to send your file across country, bluetooth will not work for you.  you need e mail or drop box type solution, and if the file is big, you will almost certainly need wifi.

I would assume that the website sends negative number with a special CSS class code or uses JavaScript to to change the style afterward.

  • How Can I burn a Keynote presentation?

    Hi!
I'm Italian, I'm sorry for my bad English!
    Here's my question:

I created a Keynote file with all the slides, the hyperlinks exc...
Now i have to burn this file on a CD, so that also win users can watch and use it..!
I tried to export the document to QuickTime and to burn this video, But I have to preserve the hyperlinks!
(in quicktime I can use the hyperlinks, but when I burn the quicktime video, iDVD (and Toast) don't recognize the hyperlinks and burn the document as a simple video!)
So, how can I burn this Keynote document preserving all the Hyperlinks?
    Thanks very much!
    Andrea

Maybe try the Flash/HTML export option from Keynote '08? i've never used it, but worth a try. Apple took this option out in the Keynote 09 version. i haven't upgraded to it.
Flash has kind of taken over Director. No where near as easy as Keynote to program/use.
    Hope that helps.

  • How can I run 2 keynote presentations on 2 different macs with only one keyboard?

How can I have 2 different keynote presentations that I want to run simultaneously through 2 different projectors, but I'd like to try and avoid using 2 keyboards - and use a hardware solution, rather than relying on my 2 fingers!! (it's a long conference!!!) thanks for any help.

Open the CSS in DW, and use F10 to open the Code Inspector.
    Place the
    latter as needed.

  • How can I control a keynote presentation on my iPhone from my iPad?

I have Keynote installed on both my iPhone and iPad.  I would like to be able to remotely control a presentation using my iPad.  I would like the iPhone to display the slideshow while I remotely control the show using my iPad.  I currently can control the show in the opposite way-my iPhone can easily find and control the slideshow displaying on the iPad.  I really want to display the show on the iPhone while using the larger screen of the iPad to control the show while I read the presenter's notes.  I only seem to be able to display on the iPad and use the iPhone as a remote control.  (I know that this is probably the preferred user method.)  The iPad will not even detect the iPhone when looking for devices.  Both are on the same WiFi network and have bluetooth turned on.  Does anyone know why the control only works in one direction or how to reverse control?

If I am understanding your question correctly what you are wanting to achieve is not possible. You can't run the same keynote presentation on both devices at the same time. Also, why would you want to use the small screen size of the iPhone as your display instead of the iPad? If it is just to see your presenter notes then print them out and use the iPhone as your remote.
Perhaps more info is needed so i fully understand your issue.

  • How can I embed a PowerPoint presentation into Adobe Muse?

I am working on my capstone presentation for university and would like to embed a couple of my best presentations into a some of the webpages. How can I do this?

I have been trying to do just that Brad.

    Any ideas?

  • How can I edit a Keynote presentation while it's playing?

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to edit a Keynote presentation while it's playing. That MUST be easily accomplished, but I can't find the method to do it.
    Any clues?

    Welcome to the forum, Arctistic!
Keynote uses a single set file to define a presentation, so changing a Keynote presentation while it is running would be like editing a movie while it is playing -- it's simply not set up to both display a running show on one monitor while allowing the file to be tinkered with on another. It would be nice if Keynote allowed the option to freeze the audience display on a slide image when the show was aborted, for just these purposes, but it currently doesn't have this capability.
As a workaround, if you know ahead of time where a single edit point will be, you could set up your displays so that the desktop of the audience display shows an image of the slide you want to pause on. That way, when you temporarily exit the slideshow to do your edits on your monitor, the audience would simply continue to see the same slide. Since one can access Dashboard widgets while Keynote is running, you could presumably even set up a system that allows for multiple break points by creating a widget that sits on the presenter desktop that changes the audience desktop to several different slide images. This would not, however, allow for arbitrary edit points, nor would allow the slideshow to continue moving through slides while the edit is underway.
If the presentation is completely linear, you could also possibly set it up so that the first part of the presentation is actually a Quicktime file of the Keynote presentation, running in a fullscreen QT Player, and only at the end do you switch to a live version of Keynote. This would allow you to edit the final bit of the presentation in Keynote while the presentation runs (of course, the QT presentation can be made to work just like Keynote in advancing on click).

  • How can I save my keynote presentation as one single file and not a folder

I use the latest kerynote version and I would like to upload the presentation as a single file to a collaboration solution.
How can I save my presentation as one single file and not as a folder?

Keynote "files" are not single files, they are packages which contain all the individual files that the presentation requires.
Some online storage systems such as Google Drive show Keynote as a folder.
We use Dropbox to distribute all our file types and Keynote does not have an issue using that.

  • How can I export a Keynote presentation to a text file?

I am using Keynote to teach a course at university. One of the students is visually impaired and requires a text version of the presentation for use with his reading software. What's the easiest way to get my presentation into a text format for him?

This is a well known problem with Keynote 6.1, the only thing you can do is use Keynote 5.3 instead, if you have it.
Meanwhile sit back and wait to see if Apple issues a fix in the schedule of updates they said they would issue during 2014.

  • How can I export a Keynote presentation to Quicktime while maintaining my set transitions?

I try to export a Keynote presentation to Quicktime. This works, obviously, although it doesn't maintain the carefully timed transitions I set up. Instead, it just the default transition time for every slide, instead of the custom transitions I entered.
The default transition time now is 5 seconds. I tried removing the 5 but it just returns and entering 0 seconds does exactly that; 0 seconds.
Does anybody have an idea as to what I should do to fix this dastardly problem?

  • How can I transfer a keynote presentation that is too large to email from my IPad 3 or my IPhone 5s to an Imac ?

Normally I transfer keynote presentations from my Ipad to the Imac via email. But if the presentation has many photos the email server wont transfer the file. I'd love to learn if AirDrop or some other method would help me. Thanks.

With Keynote 5 for Mac, using a file transfer service like Dropbox work perfectly.
With Keynote 6 there are many issues with images being lost in the file that this does not work.

  • How can I successfully store Keynote presentations in Dropbox

Everytime I load a keynote presentation into Dropbox it converts into a strange type of file and then downloads as an unreadable something. I'm using Yosemite and Keynote 6.5. This is a disaster for me. Help....

    Thanks Kyn.
Keynote presentations sit in Dropbox looking like some very disconcertingly odd 'file' rather than being clearly a Keynote presentation. I have also discovered that when I download a Keynote presentation from Dropbox it appears in my main downloads folder as something unusable, which is what was freaking me out; however on any Apple computer that I have Dropbox synched to the Keynote file does appear as a useable Keynote presentation.
The whole process is far from obvious, simple or clear, particularly compared to the clarity and simplicity with which Dropbox handles other files such as Powerpoint, but it does seem to now work to some extent.
I'd like to have thought that Apple & Dropbox might have collaborated given that an efficient and ergonomic usability would be so welcome by their joint users. What makes the best products of both of those companies so excellent is their clear and simple workability. In this instance they have both failed in quite a significant way.
