How Can I Encode a Video and Lose the Black Bars?

I have a .wmv file. According to the properties it is 720x480. The video is rectangle, not square... So I'm assuming it is technically widescreen. I brought it into premiere cs4 to auto color it. I'm exporting it with media encoder and this video has black bars. Is there a way to get rid of them? It seems when I play the file on my PC before doing anything in premiere, they are at the top and bottom. Right now I am exporting it and in the little preview box they seem to be on the top, bottom and slightly wider ones on both sides. Not sure how those got put in the mix. Can I get rid of all black bars? I'm guessing the camcorder puts them there at the top and bottom, so how would i know what the height and width of the video would be without them anyway? I'm confused...
The project settings were standard ntsc DV at 720x480 widescreen.

Thanks for your reply Hunt... I got the program and loaded my video file into it.
The PAR and DAR area is blank. It does say SAR 1.500 (3:2)... Does that help?

You can only modify the File Created date with a 3rd party application after you export it to the Desktop. Video files do not have EXIF field that image files do so can't be modified by iPhoto or Photos. What I do is rename the file with the date created and a brief description like: 2005-01-08-LaHanbraSpain.mov
You can do that with one of the Automator/Applescripits that léonie has posted in the User Tips section:Photos for Mac

Then export the original out with the option File Name = Title

You can use Photo Stream to sync the photos and videos or you can use an app like DropBox: When you open the app in iPhone/iPad you can upload your Camera Roll to your DropBox folder (you need a DropBox Account) and later, in your iPad/iPhone, you can open the app again and download what you need.

How can I delete hidden video files from the iPad? These files were created on my MBA and when I changed the media type to iTunesU and then copied it to my iPad via iTunes, they did not appear. I can see them using 3rd party software, but they don't have delete functionality.

Interesting note: I can see the files when I use the search function, but when I tap either file, I return to my home screen. The video does not open. I can transfer the file to my MBA, and it plays fine, but I cannot figure out a way to delete them.

In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".
When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.
What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???
Your help is really appreciated. I want to upgrade, but I want my buttons on both places...
I upgraded to FF 4, but downgraded again just because this feature... that's just me of coarse :-)

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.

    With our example programs you can acquire and save an image (IMAQ >> File Input and Output >> Snap and Save to File.vi) from one camera, if you double the VI's to create the image and the image task, you can easily have one program acquire and save for two cameras.
    I may need more information on what you mean by calibration. Do you mean basic camera setup? That can be done in Measurement and Automation Explorer by setting up the options within the IMAQ settings for each camera. Or do you mean more complex calibration for special types of images? The more description of what you mean, the better I will be able to help you get it done. You mentioned zoom and motion parameters, what kind of motion? Our vision drivers only control triggering the camera to acquire, then analyzing, processing and displaying the resulting image.
    If you have more details on exactly what you want to do, that would be great. Let me know if you have more questions, thanks!

How can I organize home videos and photos in ipad

I don't have a mac or pc, just the new ipad. I'm planning to buy a camera card reader adapter so I can load my photos and videos directly from my camera card to my ipad. But then how do I organize my home videos and photos in my ipad into albums?
I saw the photo folder app does essentially what I want but does it treat videos the same as photos? I didn't see anything about it being able to organize videos.

Yuo will likely need a computer app to convert the format to one compatible with the iPad. I use the Free HandBrake app. It has an iPad preset.

How can I import a video and play on Flash with a click of a button?

Basically I want to create a set of animation sequences on Maya and import them to Flash as avi or flv and then play the movie clip after a button is clicked, how can I do this?
My idea is to create a multiple choice interactive game where the user has to select the right choices to get to the right ending which is why I need to know how to link buttons to movie clips and be able to stop them at the right time with more buttons and text being displayed for the next set of movie clips.
Also after the video is done being played do I just put a stop(); at the end of the Actionscript so the video stops and the choices (text) appear on the screen for the next video sequences?
I know how to link a button to a scene or frame but I don't know how to link a button to a video or many video/movie clips....

How can I synchronize my video and audio?

I loaded a movie clip from my camcorder into FCE, no problem. Except. My audio and video are not synchronized, off by just a hair. Maybe two.
I checked a previous forum thread and read that my camcorder audio setting should be 16 bit (which it is) and 48 kHz ( I can not find anywhere a reference to mHz in my Panasonic GS300 menus) AND must match the settings in FCE.
Thus armed, I selected my movie clip in the Browser, right clicked for the pop up menu and item properties showed a mHz of 32.0

I checked User Preferences and System Settings in FCE but could find no reference to mHz there, either, let alone how to change them.
Now, I DID find, System Settings - External Editors - Audio Files a SET button, which to my feeble mind looked promising, but when I clicked on SET, up popped a Finder window of my old iMovies. How did THAT happen?
In brief. Was that good advice in the previous thread? Is this what I should be doing? And can you tell me, in simple terms - very simple - how to proceed? Please?

16bit is the same as 48kHz and 12bit is 32kHz.
In the Easy Setup, "DV-NTSC" is the 16bit/48kHz setting and "DV-NTSC 32kHz" is obviously the other!

You've added the music to your computer's iTunes library (File > Add To Library) that you want to sync to the iPad ? If you have then you should be able to select the iPad on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11 then you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC) and then use the Music tab on the right-hand side to sync the music to your iPad (if there are downloads on your iPad that aren't yet on your computer's iTunes then you may want to copy them over first via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases).
