How can I ensure an app will play audio even when phone is in silent mode

Am looking at deploying a third party app, but I want to ensure that the app's built in notification system will notify on the user's iphone, even if the user has set the phone to silent mode.
In the Android world <gasp!> there is an app called CritiCall. In the Apple world, I have found no such equivalent. And honestly I want a control that supports the app's usage of device functions, not individual device functions.
MEM solutions don't seem to fill this bill either. Any suggestions out there?

Ask the app's developer or try it for yourself before deploying it.

They were set to flash player version 10, and a couple of my peers are able to view the trainings without any problems, but one other, my supervisor, plays the presentations and finds that none of the videos (imported as event videos) will play in Internet Explorer. People often forget that in the typical ADDIE process (and it should be an iterative process) the 'I' stands for Implementation. Part of this phase is making sure that your content can actually BE rolled out successfully to your target audience. And since as I mentioned ADDIE should be iterative (repeating phases) then the first time you come around to the Implementation phase is likely to be somewhere early in the project lifecycle when you are finding out what is feasible to create. At that point you should be finding out what level of technology your target audience possesses. Failure to find this out early can sink or at least hobble the success of any e-learning project.

Make sure the format when you burn your playlist is one your car's CD player will recognize. Typically mp3 songs are readable now but when in doubt, burn an audio cd. Yes, you will get less songs per cd (as compared to mp3 formatted one) but you are guaranteed the cd will work in any place. Most cars have it written on the radio somewhere what formats it can read for CDs.. Good luck!

Or, open Software Update. If you do not have the Apple protection software installed it will download and install it via Software Update. If no update appears that means you either already have it installed or it isn't needed for your system. The software is only available for Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Lion versions of OS X.

Prior to the update, when I came out of a website I would close the site in the browser bar and my safari screen would be cleared. I adore the way iphone gets me all my emails at the instant they were sent. Only thing is I sometimes open the email just to check if it's something emergent, otherwise I prefer to read it at home on a PC.
Is there anyway such that when you open the email on the iphone it's not "marked as read" on the gmail server for example ? Is there maybe a way you can get data from the server (reading the email) but not sending anything back (the act of turning it from unread email to read email) ?
If not, then is there anyway such that you mark emails as important or any such thing using the iphone ?

No, because the iPhone doesn't download the entire message from the server until you open it. The iPhone only downloads the header of the emails from the server and then once you open the email, it will communicate with the server and download the rest. Once that phase happens, the server marks the email as read.
The only thing you can do, is mark each email as unread after you read it. You can do this from inside each individual email, Apple hasn't created a feature yet that will allow you to mark multiple emails at a time and mark them as read or unread.

If you bought Lion from the App Store, you can't legally or practically transfer it, because it's tied to your Apple ID. Reinstall the original software from the discs that came with the machine.

1. Force Quit .
    Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
    When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
    Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.   Wait.
    Safari will quit.
    Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

    Turn those off and try Safari.

Locked on an update can mean a couple of different things. So there are a number of things to try, but start with these.
If you have a "waiting" icon, try tapping on the icon and see if you can pause the update/download. Of it pauses, tap on it again and see if it will resume.
Try holding down on the icon until all of the icons on the screen wiggle. If the X to delete pops up on the waiting/stalled app - tap the X to delete the app. Tao,the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
You can also try this and see if the downloads will resume. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

As already provided, if you don't have such in your iTunes library, on your computer, then there is no way to put it back on your phone. Apps are DRM protected, so even if you found a copy somewhere, you wouldn't be able to use it.

They will not be deleted if they have been imported to your iPhoto library. To ensure this happens automatically, go to iPhoto>Preferences>iCloud and check Automatic Import:
To confirm that they have been imported to your library, click on iCloud on the left sidebar of iPhoto, open your My Photo Stream album on the right, then Control-Click on your pictures. If you see "Show in Library" in the pop-up, the picture has been imported to your library and you can safely delete it from photo stream.
