How can I enter my passcode after a restore?
I recently reset my Network Settings but when the iTouch rebooted it said that iTunes cannot read the iTouch because the passcode is enabled. The only screen I see is the USB wire to iTunes display, cannot unlock passcode.
Place the iPod in recovery mode nd then try restoring the iPod again. For recovery mode see:

I just updated my Ipad 2 to IOS 7, now it is asking me for a passcode. I never set a passcode on my Ipad, so how can I enter a passcode. Earlier today I upgraded my Iphone 5 to IOS 7 and it asked me to set a passcode, which now works fine on my Phone. I tried using the OIS7 passcode I use on my Iphone 5 and it did not work and now my Ipad is disabled. Both devices are on icloud and share the same apple id. The Ipad screen says slide to set up but then there is a prompt for passcode, not for setting up passcode
I called Apple Support and a supervisor helped resolve this for me on my iPad. I suggest calling them for help as this is obviously an issue with the iOS 7 update - she helped me without charge. I could be missing something in my upcoming description, so do not take this as complete - call them.
I had to update iTunes on my Mac Air to the latest version, and I had an iCloud backup from the day I updated to iOS7. Have iTunes open but do NOT connect your iPad yet. Shut down the iPad. Then press/hold the Home key on the iPad while you connect the USB from the iPad to the computer (an image of the USB cable appeared on the iPad). Follow the prompts in iTunes to restore and then backup using iCloud. When the iPad rebooted again to do the backup install, I got the same pass code issue and iTunes would not recognize the iPad without entering a pass code. I disconnected the iPad, turned it off, pressed the Home key while connecting the USB cable. When I did the restore and backup from iCloud the second time, it worked without the pass code issue occurring. -
My display says iPod is disabled connect to iTunes. When I connect to iTunes, a prompt displays stating that the iPod is protected by a passcode. How can I enter the passcode if the iPod is disabled?
THis page directly addressed the problem of the persistent "connect to iTunes" screen and passcode issue:

my ipad is locked up (i can't slide to unlock). when I went to itunes to restore, I get a message that it is passcode protected. How can I enter my passcode if it's locked up?
You'll need to force your iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow the directions in this link and you may have to try more than once to be successfull.
Note: You will lose data, but once back in you can restore from a backup.

Settings>General>Passcode Lock. Enter your passcode lock, turn passcode off, it will prompt for the passcode again and it will then be off.

How can I reinstall Photoshop CS6l after system restore
I downloaded and installed the trial version of CS6 a few days ago and everything was working wonderfully. Yesterday, some adware found its way through my firewall and installed itself on my system. The only restore point I had available predated the CS6 installation, and after the system recovered, PhotoShop was gone. I attempted to install it again to continue the trial, but got an error that directed me to a site that is no longer maintained by Adobe. How can I fix this? I'm sure the time limit on the trial hasn't stopped counting down, but I'm unable to install and check out the software. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Sciguy77you're probably out of luck and cannot resume your trial.
however, you can download a trial and test your luck,

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages. They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3. If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'. -
My game was 'fashion story' and currently level 90. But after I restored my iPad, it went back to level 1. Please please help
Do you have a backup of the device before you restored it? If you have a backup, try to restore the device from that backup.
If you don't, I doubt that there's anything anyone here can do for you. Seems as though your save game, (despite being an "online" game) was wiped out with the restore. I'd say the vast majority of online games still do keep your save data on the device and NOT in "the cloud".
In this case, a backup of the device would have helped you out...it's always wise to backup your device before proceeding with a restore, especially if you plan to restore the device as new. -
How can you get apps back after you restore an iPod?
Alright so basically I was on my iPod using an app when all the sudden my screen goes black and it wouldnt turn back on, when I inverted colours it went white so my iPod was on, just not responding. I had to restore my iPod and I have all my music back but I just want to know if I can get my apps back too. Please help!!! I NEED THEM BACK!
Note that you can only redownload the current version from the App store.
Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Thus, if yo have a 2G or 1G iPod Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync. -
My iPod touch has white on the display. I need to restore it, but I can't enter the passcode on it. Is there any other way to type the passcode and restore it when I know the passcode?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
how can I check my passcode I updated today and when I am going to reset all content and setting my iPhone 4S they asked me for passcode when I entered the passcode the one I just update too is doesn't want to accept it
I have had the same problem with iPad recently not too sure why it happened but if you are completing a full reset anyway the easiest way is the restore via itunes on your computer and then set up a new passcode again. Resetting via itunes doesnt require a passcode so it should go straight through.
Hope this helps -
My device is broken and I can't enter my passcode so I'm locked out of itunes and I need to wipe all my info on the phone ...HOW?
I'm afraid you're going to have to be a little more specific. Is it that the unit doesn't turn off, when you hold down the power button? Or that it won't go out of Rescue Mode? What options have you tried in Rescue Mode?

It says could not connect to the ipod because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter our passcode on the ipod before it can be used with Itunes. I forgot the passcode so how can I enter/ restore/reset it?
As the linked articl says, place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

How can i override my passcode? i cracked my screen and im tryint to back up my phone and it wont let me without my passcode being entered but my touch screen is not responding
You won't be prompted for the passcode if you plug it in and sync/backup using the computer you normally sync with (assuming the passcode was set before the last time you synced).
Have you ever synced/backed it up?
If you have not, or you set up the passcode since the last sync, or the computer it was synced with is unavailable, then you're out of luck. You can't back it up.
If you set up back up to iCloud, plug it in to power overnight in a place where it can connect to WiFi and cross your fingers. -
My ipod is rejecting the correct screen lock to unlock the ipod. I have restored it but it is still asking for a passcode. How can I enter my ipod? Is there a way to restore it so i can start over?
Place your device into recovery mode and then restore.
See here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Also set your iPod up as a new device, rather that restoring from a previous backup.
Note: All user content on the device will be erased. -
Hello, all,
how can I enter data in an input schedule on a member in the EPM Add-On that is not a base member?
E.g. I want to implement a top-down-planning scenario and I have the following hierarchy:
Europe
Germany
France
UK
Spain
Italy
How can I enter a value on Europe in an input schedule in order to allocate this value afterwards?
Thanks in advance and best regards
GerdGerd,
It should be something like below -
EuropeInput
Europe
Germany
France
UK
Spain
Italy
EuropeInput shall be kept out of hierarchy and should be a base level member. Users will enter the numbers in this member. In your script logic, you will make use of this member to allocate the data in Bas(Europe) i.e. Germany, France, etc.
Effectively, after allocation the same data will be rolled up to Europe.
Many top-down planning would use such work-around as BPC doesn't allow writing to parent node.
Regards,
Ashish
