We recently upgraded and would like to sell our iPhone 4; we were told by an Apple store Genius Bar staff member that our antenna was going bad, and that was the reason we could not connect to WiFi, and the cloud. How can we erase our information from the phone, without being able to do this?

You have to have had Find My iPhone active on the device before it was stolen, and it has to be connected to the Internet via wifi or cellular. Log into www.icloud.com and see if you can locate your device. If it is offline, it means it is probably out of battery, the thief has turned it off. You can send a wipe command to the phone and if it does get connected, it will wipe the phone. If you did not have Find My iPhone active, there is nothing you can do.

Just so you know, once the code has been put in incorrectly many times, to prevent unauthorized access, the phone will lock itself up and can only be restored by erasing the information and setting the phone back up. If there is a back up on iTunes it will restore everything back to the phone, but keep in mind this will also restore the old lock code used as well. So it's either erase everything and set it up as new, or erase everything and restore with the old lock code.
Being an account manager gives you access to the Verizon Wireless account to make plan changes or upgrade phones, not gain access into information on a device. The information on a device is always considered private and we wouldn't even have access to it in any way, shape, or form.

Restarting your iPhone will not delete any content from the device, as it is only turning it off and back on. If you want to restart, please follow the directions below.
How to restart

For future reference, Safari Plugins are kept in Macintosh HD> Library> Internet Plugins.
To unhide the Library folder, open up Terminal (just type"Terminal" into spotlight) and type:
chflags nohidden ~/Library

You have run into Activation Lock. Without the requested AppleID and password,
you will not be able to activate the iPhone. Return it for a refund if you can.

I recently updated my iphones passcode from the 4 digit option to longer digits, only i used the Bulgarian lettering, and now my phone wont accept my passcode. I could easily go to my itouch and erase my phone remotely through find my iphone app, but what im really really stressing over is a way to unlock my iphone without restoring (Ive never backed up so id lose all my notes most contacts game and app data ect ect ect)
I currently do not have cellular data so i cant accept a call, to get to settings and remove it from there.

Apple can do nothing at all.
You must restore your ipod.
If you are unable then you will have to put it in recovery mode.
You can redownload itunes purchaes
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You should be syncing regularly as the ipod is designed.

Ive tried inserting other sim cards that are of the same carrier but it still says the same. Also when i connect the phone to itunes it says the same thing and wont let me do anything with my phone. Does anyone know how i get the phone working again or how i can reset it?

How can I use the iPhone GPS without a contract?

Is there any way? Call me crazy, but I want GPS and I already have a cellphone that I'm not interested in replacing. Would it be possible to go and get an iPhone and use the GPS without paying for a plan? I already use AT&T, but what don't want is to pay for the data plan. The iPhone 3G will be sold at at&t and Apple brick and mortar stores only - at least initially, and activation and signing a two year contract will be required at the store when the iPhone is purchased. The unlimited data plan is not an option and is required.
The iPhone includes what is called A-GPS or assisted GPS.
The iPhone Maps application downloads selected maps from Google, which is downloaded to the iPhone via wi-fi or at&t's cellular network. GPS without having access to maps won't be much good. Some 3rd parties may provide select maps that can be purchased and downloaded to the iPhone via the iTunes App Store for access via GPS if there is no cell phone reception, but this is unknown.

Doesn't sound like your phone was unlocked.
To activate, a SIM card from the carrier to which the phone is locked is required. There's no way around this.
