Migrate.bat will migrate an entire database from one platform to another (eg: Oracle to MS SQL SRVR) but for selective projects you would need to move them via PPM Application export (XER/XML). Your other option as someone suggested is to upgrade the entire database schema to a newer version if that is the end goal, but it sounds more like you have two existing database schemas to consolidate.

When I visited the Roxio website, and found numerous other company products, the descriptions all seemed to suggest that most of the apps shown can easily export videos to DVDs, but nothing was said about finished digital slide shows being exported. Aperture cannot burn slideshows to a DVD. It only can export a video of your slideshow.
In Aperture 3 you use the "Export" button in Aperture's slideshow project to render a video to a folder on your disk.
Then you use iDVD or another program to burn a video DVD.
I cannot do a copy (export) without various error messages appearing and the inevitable stoppage occurring. Always with the DVD Video Player final message reading, “Supported disc not available.”
Could you please describe the exact steps that are causing these error messages?
How are you exporting your slideshow from Aperture? Which settings are you using? And how are you importing the video to iDVD or Toast to burn a video DVD?

I have recently completed an iMovie project, and I want to burn the project onto a DVD. I have exported the project and burnt it, but it only opens with iTunes and Quicktime, and I was hoping to play the movie on a DVD player. I am desperate and need assistance ASAP !!

When in iMovie, click Share then iDVD. In iDVD you can customize your dvd menu. After you are done, then click File, Burn DVD or ⌘+R. And it will ask you to insert your blank disk and then it will start burning. After it has completed the burn, it will ask you if you want to make another disk (if you want multiple copies). Your movie should then be viewable on any DVD player.

I'm not sure this is the best way, but you could create a new iMovie Library, move your project to that Library, then close the library. Then move the Library to your USB drive. Then, on the other Mac, in iMovie open the Library.

So it sounds like you are trying to burn a DVD with photos on it so the photos can be either transferred to or displayed on a Windows PC, is that correct?
For the purposes of this I am going to assume you are using iPhoto '11.
Gather the photos you want to burn to DVD in one album in iPhoto. This is not absolutely necessary but it sure makes things easier for me.
Select that album, then go to the File menu and select Export...
In the dialog that shows up, select the File Export tab. Select the setting you want to use for export. Click the Export button.
Another dialog will show up. Set the location to Desktop and click the New Folder button. Name the folder something nice and descriptive and click the Create button.
Click the OK button. Quit iPhoto as the rest of this work will be done in the Finder.
You will now have a folder on your desktop with that nice descriptive name. Find it and select it. Go to the File menu and from it select Burn "Descriptive folder name" to Disc...
Insert a blank DVD when prompted.
Let the finder complete the work and eject the disc afterwards.

Sorry but your iPhoto library is not on an iPad or iPod - you may have photos there (most likely low resolution copies) but not an iPhoto library - dying computers (along with software and human errors) are why you always must have a backup - now is the time to load it

(How can we) Export FXG from Flash Professional using JSFL

How can we export a selection from Flash Professional as .FXG using JSFL? It appears that this is not possible... just yet! I have added this as a feature request within the Adobe Labs site for Flash Professional. Someone at Adobe suggested that I also explore the forums, so here we are. If you would also like to have this feature added, please let Adobe know by promoting the idea.
Our use case is this: we have a large Flash file with a library of over one thousand skins and assets that were built in Flash with Adobe's Flex Skins Templates. These stateful, graphical skins were used within a custom theme by several Flex 3 projects. Our ultimate goal is to bring these through Catalyst, maintaining their vectors, and use them to create Spark skins.
We've got a JSFL that can export each linked library asset, as well as any frame-labeled 'state' within these clips. However, currently we are using exportPNG, which is not ideal as it flattens our vector art into raster images. We are about to try the exportSWF option, and see what Flash Catalyst does with this. Our early attemps with importing swf's haven't been too amazing.
I'm starting to imagine some cross-product scripting in which we export symbols at a state-by-state level as .swf from Flash, then rebuild these onto layers in Illustrator, and THEN import these into Catalyst...yikes!
Anyone have a better solution?

Out of pure wishful thinking I decided I would just see what happened if I pretended 'exportFXG' was already a part of JSFL. Based on the signature of 'exportPNG', i tried the following lines:

It worked! Fantastic! I'm not sure if exportFXG is considered still in "beta" and therefore intentionally excluded from the docs, or if it was just an oversight. But at least it gives us something to experiment with.

I have a 90 minutes project which made from 4 sequence. Sequence settings are the followings : AVCHD 1080p 25fps square pixels , 5.1 channel master audio.
I made the sequences from avchd file-s, which recorded with Sony HDR-CX700V with AVCHD 1080p 25fps and Dolby digital 5.1 sound.
Right now I finished the project with lots of effects and imported After effects compositions, and I cannot find any setting to create 5.1 sound.
I have Mainconcept codec suite, but this offer m2ts 1440*1080i settings only.( And I cannot configure the mainconcept codec settings.)
Do you have any idea how can I export the project without any degradation, and with 5.1 audio? The original footages recorded with this properties : H264/AVC - top field first - 22.000 Mbit/sec.
And I use in the project some 720p H264/AVC - progressive - 8.001 Mbit/sec videos.

You have to consider a couple of things. Mixing 1080 and 720 material is best done in a 720 sequence, because uprezzing will seriously deteriorate quality, unless you accept black borders. That also means exporting a 720 format as maximum, unless again you accept serious quality loss. Whatever the resolution you choose, exporting AVCHD material to anything else than uncompressed, Lagarith or UT will entail a generation loss and thus quality loss. The best export settings are dependent on your delivery medium. DVD, BD or web.
Since you are working in a 1080 sequence, the quality loss of uprezzed 720 material is not a big issue, apparently, so what is the relevancy of 'the same quality' on export when you have already compromised quality?

Ah... You didn't say it was an iMovie 2 project. iMovie project is different from iMovie HD.
I want to store the image file from the dvd's off site as I don't have the space to archive the projects - it seems I can't do that as it copies over to the server but shows up as a 4kb file - any suggestions how I can do this?
I might be wrong (since I don't have iMovie 2), I assume iMovie 2 has the similar QT "reference" movie as the iMovie HD. This "reference" movie is not a "self-contained" (a QT term) movie, i.e. it only has instructions of the makeup of the "real" movies. You cannot use it to archive. If you want to offload your movie from your computer, you should copy the entire iMovie 2 project folder to an external archive.

Can I export project at sample rate 48.000khz & up, to then be Mastered??

How can I export a GB project at the highest quality (48.000khz and/or up) to be Mastered?? I need an uncompressed AIFF file with the highest sample rate according to the guy who's doing the Mastering.Is this posssible?

ok thanks...but it's a bit confusing becuz an Bulletsandbones he makes a reference to songs coming from GB to iTunes at 24 bit when "best" is selected under "audio quality" for resolution. (i.e. a guy couldn't play his songs on iPod cuz iPod's only play at 16bit--he had GB set at 24 bit.)
So do you think there's no way to get the project out of GB at higher than 44.1? What about burning it to a DvD either from the finder/GB folder, or from GB directly? If this doesn't work, would I be able to do it in logic express perhaps? Thanks for your input!!
