How can i find my missing ipad 2 with no mobile me?

Well 2 days ago i lost my ipad and i retraced my steps and turned the house upside down with like 7 people. No one can find it and i need it for work. All i have is a serial number from when i bought it and thats it. I dont habe find my ipad or anything!!!! i need help!

I lost my iPad. Guess what? I also bought the smart cover and thought that the find my ipad app won't work.
But I still went to mobileme.com and tried the play a sound option. I found it instantly! My sound was off, and it was locked, and it was attached to the smart cover, But the sound played at full volume and I found it! If your battery died, you didn't install the app, or it is inside a sound-proof box, you won't find it.
If one of these things is the case, keep looking or check a sound-proof box you bought for no reason and you may find it!

It will only show if the device is turned on. And if someone else has it, they can turn that feature off. Your best options are to return to the location where you think you lost it, and see if anyone returned it. Also contact your local law enforcement.

Are you trying to activate a used iPad? You may not be able to due to being Activation locked. The previous owner did not erase everything.)

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.

Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

I think this is probably a sign that your network could be better than it is.

I have hundreds of settlement names on a map created with the text tool. How can I search on the name of one of them and find it on my map ?
I am with FH9 but the method would no doubt be backwards compatible from MX. If it isnt I would launch MX just for this exercise.
Would this also work if the word was part of a text box text ?
I have the luxury of it being the entire text box !

If you have one large text box to search for the word, select it, then go to EDIT>FIND & REPLACE>TEXT...
Type in your word and click FIND NEXT button. If you have multiple occurances of the name, keep clicking the FIND NEXT button until the word hilites.
If you have scattered text boxes on your map, don't select any of them but still go through the EDIT>FIND & REPLACE>TEXT... routine I mentioned. FreeHand will look through all text boxes to find your word.
Oh yeah, this works the same in FreeHand 8 thru FHMX.

When you add the account to the pad it should work just fine. You are doing somethjing subtly wrong with the password as you are setting the account up.
Try again, and pay real close attention to not only the password, but the other entries as you set up the account.
If you get frustrated, simply go to google, and reset your passwoird to something new that you will easily remember, then use that password. You will need to change the pword in your other devices as well to match the new one.
