Only you and your iPhone know it. There's no way to "get it" except to remember. If you can't remember, you'll have to restore as new, i.e. without your backup.

There's no way around restoring the device as new if you cannot remember your restrictions password. If there were, it would make having a restriction password useless.

You can not do so. If you can't remember it, you will need to put the phone in DFU mode (google for instructions) and restore it as a new device. Do not restore your backup. The backup contains the restriction settings.

Put in the restrictions passcode, and then Disable Restrictions.
Otherwise, you can't. That's the ENTIRE purpose of a passcode lock.

One of my boys saw the passcode and I changed it by disabling and then re-enabling restrictions, only to be shocked when ALL MY SETTINGS were reverted to default and DIDNT come back after enabling restrictions again. If you cannot remember the passcode for the Screen Lock, you will need to Restore the device...
1) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore...

Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.

I've forgotten the restrictions passcode I set on my iPod. Since I don't want to perform a complete systems reset just yet, I want to try to attempt remembering my passcode... how many times can I try the restrictions passcode without permanently locking it?

This is for the restrictions passcode correct? Not the regular passcode....
And I heard somewhere that if you guess too many times, you will be permanently locked out of your device...
