How can I find my restriction passcode?
I need help to get my restriction passcode
Only you and your iPhone know it. There's no way to "get it" except to remember. If you can't remember, you'll have to restore as new, i.e. without your backup.

I have 3 apple devices an IPad Air/ iPhone5 and iphone4s they all currently running the IOS 8.3 and my question is:
How can I retrieve the restrictions passcodes in all of them without have to restore them all back to the factory settings ?
I have all the backups in my Icloud , but if I do that they all will come back to the same settings I have now which includes the same passcodes I don't remember. I had all my passwords and passcodes saved before, but I cant find them.
looking forward to hear from one of you out there...
Thank you! There's no way around restoring the device as new if you cannot remember your restrictions password. If there were, it would make having a restriction password useless.

how can i retrieve my "restrictions passcode"? i cannot proceed to unlock my iphone 4 if cannot supply the restrictions code.
thanks! You can not do so. If you can't remember it, you will need to put the phone in DFU mode (google for instructions) and restore it as a new device. Do not restore your backup. The backup contains the restriction settings.

HT1414 how can I remove the restriction passcode without having to reset device
how can I remove the restriction passcode without having to reset device
Put in the restrictions passcode, and then Disable Restrictions.
Otherwise, you can't. That's the ENTIRE purpose of a passcode lock. -
How can I change a restrictions passcode without losing all the restricted settings?
We have two iPads for two boys... both are heavily restricted. One of my boys saw the passcode and I changed it by disabling and then re-enabling restrictions, only to be shocked when ALL MY SETTINGS were reverted to default and DIDNT come back after enabling restrictions again. How can I change the passcode on the other iPad without losing all the settings, especially the long list of blocked websites?
Thanks in advance. What good would the passcode be if you could bypass it like that?

How do I reset an iPad 2 to factory defaults when I can't recall the Restriction passcode?
I have tried all of the suggested reset methods and still cannot reset to factory defaults. Somehow I setup a restrictions passcode that I can't find or remember so I seem to bee stuck.
Does anyone have a solution? The only option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings.
Follow the instructions in iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.

How many times can you attempt the restrictions passcode?
I've forgotten the restrictions passcode I set on my iPod. Since I don't want to perform a complete systems reset just yet, I want to try to attempt remembering my passcode... how many times can I try the restrictions passcode without permanently locking it?
This is for the restrictions passcode correct? Not the regular passcode....
And I heard somewhere that if you guess too many times, you will be permanently locked out of your device... -
I have forgotten/never had a passcode for my ipad how can I find/set one up?
I have forgotten/never had a passcode for my ipad. How can I find/set one up?
Hi doph4140,
If you are able to access/unlock your iPad currently (does not have a passcode) and you are looking to set one up, you may find the following article helpful:
iOS: Using passcodes
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4113
If, instead, you are unable to unlock your iPad due to a forgotten passcode, then this article may be more useful:

My restrictions are turned on. I didn't turn them on. The only code I've used on my ipad is to unlock it and that code won't work on my restrictions. How do I turn off restrictions and prevent them being turned on again?
The only option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings. Hope you have a backup.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

I put parental controls on my sons mac book air and now he is unable to get onto many needed sites. I would like to change the restrictions but unfortunately I can not remember my passwords. How can I find my passwords?
That is stealing. Your friend has no right/licence to give the songs to you. It violates copyright law.
