How can i find out how old my macbook pro is?

I want to find out how old my macbook is without having to take it into a store, is it possible. If so how do i do it

sig,
Stupid mistake on my part - I didn't realize that you simply had to enter your serial number in the 'search' bar - I did and it gives far more info than any other sn website I've visted.
So I bookmarked it.
Thanks,
Clinton

Have you formatted the disk to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)?

  • My I pad can't find my printer but my macBook pro can. How can I print from my Ipad?

How do I print from my ipad? it says it can't find my printer but my macbook can.

Is your printer AirPrint compatible? My MacBook can see my printer but my iPad doesn't because my wireless printer is not AirPrint Compatible.
Here are all of the AirPrint printers.

If your printer is not on that list, you need a third party app in order to print - Print and Share, Print Central, you can use Printopia for the Mac. Search for other apps that will let you print using your current printer.

Look at your serial number. It's the two numbers after the 6.

how can i tell how old my mac book pro is?

To find out what Mac model you have, append the last three characters of its serial number to http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords= and load the page. If you're doing this to determine if it's compatible with Mavericks, the simplest way is probably to try downloading it; the Mac App Store will check.

  • How do I find out what OS my Macbook Pro is running?

I have a Macbook pro that I purchased a few years ago.  To my knowledge, I have never upgraded the OS.  However, I'm not sure.  How do I find out what OS I'm running and what I'm eligible to upgrade to?
Thank you in advance for your help!!

10.7 or Lion is already out and has been for over a year.
The one that is coming is 10.8 or Mountion Lion.
You will need to buy the DVD for 10.6 but not for 10.5.
After you upgrade to 10.6.8 then you can use the App Store to download and install either 10.7 or 10.8 when it is release later this month.
This is provided your Mac mets the hardware requirements for them.

  • How can I find my MAC address on macbook pro?

I just bought a new macbook pro with the lion software and can't find my MAC address.

Did you look under the System Preferences > Network > Airport (or Ethernet) > Advanced
The Airport ID or Ethernet ID is your MAC address, depending on which one your using.
You can also use the Terminal

  • Can't find my Backups folder on Macbook pro

Hey guys I don't think I need my back ups on my Macbook pro if I have back ups on a external hard drive but I have 167GBs of back ups on my macbook pro. Can I delete it and if so how thanks

When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as  Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.

  • Can't find my pandora in my macbook pro

can someone help me how to find m last download... pandora radio on my macbook pro? thank you so much

To expand on sig's paraphrase, go to your home folder and look for the Downloads folder. If the browser you used to do the download has that set as where to place downloads (most have that set as default but you may have changed it) that is where it should be.
    Best of luck.

  • I can't find the scanner on my Macbook Pro

    Hello
I'm operating Macbook Pro OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks.  I'm trying to install the scanner part of my PIXMA MP560.  The printer installed, but the scanner doesn't show up.  I downloaded the drive for it but still no luck.  Any suggestions?
    Thank you

As arthur mentions, try using Image Capture...
Launch Image Capture located in your Applications folder.
Connect the scanner to your Mac whether Wi-Fi or USB.
Click the very small black box bottom left side of the Image Capture window.
You'll see this pop up menu:   Connecting this (device) opens:
You can select a default app to scan (Image Capture) and select a folder from the Import To pop up menu on the right to save scanned files to.
If you need help with the Image Capture software, click Help from the Image Capture menu bar.

  • Can't find Canon i9900 with New Macbook Pro

I just set up my new Pro and installed(or thought I did) the i9900 driver. When I go to the Printer Setup utility and try to add the printer, it doesn't see any Canon drivers. I have done this several times. Any idea what I am doing wrong.
    Thanks!

    Hi Roberta,
If the i9900 doesn't show, then we need to make sure FireWire is enabled and working.
First of all, open System Preferences and then Network. Click the Show menu and select Network Port Configurations. Make sure there is a check for Built-in FireWire.
Also, go to your Mac HD (or whatever it is called)/Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter/Utilities and open the Canon IJ Printer Utility. Change the menu from USB to FireWire. The i9900 should be listed under the Product heading. Do you see this?
If you do, click on the printer name and select Maintenance. From the new window select Ink Level Information from the menu. After a short wait information about all 8 inks should appear, which confirms the Mac and the i9900 are communicating.
If the above is okay then try adding the driver again. Open Printer Setup Utility, click Add, click Default Browser, click More Printers, select Canon BJ Firewire. A similar window to the Canon IJ Printer Utility window will now show and the i9900 should be listed under the Product heading. Click on the i9900 and select Add. The driver should now be added to the printer list. There is no need to browse for a driver. The utility will select it for you (and it doesn't give you the choice to browse the Canon list).
Don't add the printer by clicking on the "1394 BJ_LUNO" listed in the Default Browser. Doing it this way, you will have to browse to the Canon folder but you won't find the i9900 in the list.
    Regards,
