There are no Trojans that can affect a (non-jailbroken) iPad that can be got through email.

How can I find out if there are any masters (not referenced) in my library?

I've been using Aperture for a while (most masters are on different hard drives, but maybe some are in my library by mistake when I imported them), now want to consolidate all my photo-masters on a separate "photo" hard drive and leave in my Aperture Library only the previews and the adjustments.
I have some projects in my library, and my library is 12 GB. Is there a quick way to find out if any of my masters are in the library so I can "take them out" and put them on my separate HD?
If there was a way to sort by "badge" and see the ones not referenced that would be nice.
In the future I will be more careful when importing to make sure my photos are always in the right place and referenced.

Make a Smart Album, store it in your top level Smart Albums folder (I put all my Library administration Albums there), and check it before doing a full back-up, or regularly. I keep recent shots on my MBP internal drive so I can work on them wherever I am. After a month or so I relocate the Masters to my big external drive.
Note that Managed Masters/Versions are likely already differentiated by badge. Referenced images have a "link arrow" badge. Managed images do not. -

I was wondering how can I find out if there's a conflict on date and time
I have a program written for a local auction house where it allows them to track when there drivers were parking cars (hourly) or going on trips (flat rate). The person who enters the record does so later so she would need to enter the times that they did what. What they're concerned with is someone making a mistake and entering a record for 02:00 to 04:00 and another for 03:00 to 05:00 and having them get paid for 4 hours when it's really 3. So they wanted me to make sure they didn't get double billed. I decided to make it so duplicates can't be entered but I'm wondering how would I write it so if a period exists between the fromDate/fromTime and toDate/toTime I would know?
Convert the dates to seconds since the Epoch with http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/util/Date.html#getTime() and check for overlapping intervals.

How can I find out the dpi of an image in Acrobat. I have tried the pre-flight option but I really don't understand the pixels width x depth information that I get. I basically just want to know at dpi of a single image. Is there other program that will read my pdf file and tell me this information.
Thank you, tylerdurdain! That was ridiculously difficult to find. Not sure what version of Acrobat you're using in your image, but for those using Acrobat Pro 11 (in Mavericks), it's buried under View > Tools > Print Production.
That opens a panel on the right.
To keep from having to chase it down this way each time, right click on "Output Preview" and choose "Add to Quick Tools Toolbar". That adds a button to the top right of the toolbar.
Now you can call up the inspector with one click. Choose Object Inspector as tylerdurdain shows above, then click on the item displayed to get its properties. -

I don't believe that there is a way to do that. I would sugest using automatic downloads to keep your apps synced across both phones. You might also want to note that just about any app you have ever download will be available for free download via icloud.

We are trying to set up FaceTime and got the verification error on the email address. We went in to the Apple ID account and when we verify the email address, it tells us that it's tied to another AppleID. My daughter has 3 other AppleIDs and we've checked each one of them and the email address is not tied to any of them.
How can we find out what apple ID is tied to this email address?
We have used the "Forgot my Apple ID" function and used all 3 of the different email addresses she's used on the accounts and when we access the one that says there's a duplicate, it takes us to the account and it's the one with the email address that I noted above.
Any thougts or help?

Suppose that several VIs running simultaneously on the same computer. How can I find out the names of the running VIs, from another VI?
If the already running VIs are clones of the same basic VI, open and run with the option "Prepare to call and forget", how can I find out the names and index of each clone?I had an application where I spawned (= ran with Start Asynchronous Call) multiple (reentrant) copies of VIs, and would occasionally "lose control" of them. I needed a way to find all VIs that were running "Top Level" and stop them (so I didn't have to log off from Windows).
I used the Application Property "All VIs in Memory" to get an array of (wait for it ...) All VIs in Memory. I took each name, opened a VI reference to it (simply wire the name string in, as the VI is, by definition, "in memory"), looked at its VI Execution State, and if it was Run Top Level, Invoked the FP.Close and Abort VI Methods. [To prevent the VI that did all this from "committing Suicide", I compared the name string with the current Call Chain, and did nothing if there was a match].
I think you could adopt this idea to do what you need.

THANK YOUYou can't tell by the email address since you can pretty much put whatever you want in there (especially if the SMTP server is not filtering anything).
The header may be able to tell you something. There is a Received header value which looks like it has the routing information although I am not sure if this is a complete trace or just the last hop the message took.

I have used ical since it first came out and have found it brilliant and very easy to use and access both from the office and also from home. However because I have used it for so long I have had various changes in staff.
