If your computer is tied to a network, then there is a way to check. Go to System Preferences, and click Accounts. unlock Admin
then you can click Login Options.
under that, Network Account Server. This should show you what server your computer is tied to. If you aren't in the tech department, you could try asking them.

  • How can I find Elements 11 on my Mac?

I downloaded it on May 9th, '13 and have yet to use it.  There's no icon in my tray and I'm not finding it in Finder nor Downloads.  How can I find it so I can use it?

Zionwoman225 if you have installed the software then please look in your Applications folder.  If you can not find it in your Applications folder then please run through the installation process to install the software.
Downloading the software is only the first part of the process.  Once downloaded you will then need to run the installer to install the software to your computer.

  • How can I find my recent purchases in iTunes Store?  Account purchase viewing ?

I've searched the website and all I can find is how to manage my passwords, etc... I want to view my purchases and can't find it anywhere.

already signed in and no option for purchase history-only order history which is different.  Older posts with the answer on the support site say Apple is not supporting updates.  Will have to look further.

  • How come in Finder, when I search "This Mac", there's fewer results than when searching somewhere more specific? Shouldn't it be the opposite?

I have my preferences set so that New Finder windows show Macintosh HD. So when I open a Finder window, five folders are shown: Applications, Library, System, User Information, and User. As an example of the subject of my question, I opened a Finder window and typed "hp" in the search field. Four results were displayed: HP ePrint.app, two other apps that open the printing queues of HP printers, and an HTML document of bookmarks with two bookmarks containing "hp" in their names. My goal of the search* was to find a folder named "hp", of which there are two that I know of on my computer. Their locations are: 'Macintosh HD/Library/Printers' and 'Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support'—neither folder was found when searched for in "This Mac" nor when searched for in "Macintosh HD". When I searched for "hp" in the Library folder, 36 results were displayed, including the two folders named "hp". Above those 36 items, it clearly indicated that my search was conducted in the Library folder, and that I was able to click "This Mac" to search my whole computer instead. Clicking "This Mac" resulted in the same four items that were found when I searched for "hp" immediately after opening the Finder window to be displayed again. In my mind, clicking "This Mac" should at least keep the 36 items found in my Library folder to remain displayed. My reason for thinking this is because the Library folder is contained in "This Mac", isn't it? The same logic applies to Macintosh HD also; why doesn't searching there return at least the same 36 results? This phenomenon of the contained location returning more search results than the location which contains it frustrates me. When I search for something, I have to guess if it's in Library or System (if it's in one of the other folders, I'm always certain of which to search). I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, it just doesn't make sense to me why I can't find things by searching in "This Mac" or Macintosh HD. Until I got this MacBook (15" Pro Retina mid 2012, 2.6/16/256) , I was a lifelong Windows user. I love my MacBook, but this search idiosyncrasy is the only thing about it that seems inferior to its Windows counterpart. Searching for something in Windows is easier to me because locations behave hierarchically. I still like my MBP way better than any other computer that I've ever owned before, I just wish Apple would change this one attribute. If anyone knows how to make the Finder search behave completely hierarchically (when the containing location returns at least the same search results as the location it contains), please let me know. Thank you.
*The "hp" folder search that I conducted was done only as an example of the issue that I discussed here. I knew where the folders were, thus, it was easier for me to explain the problem that was posed in my question.

  • How can i change when i start the mac book pro, between mac and win?

when i start the mac book pro, between mac and win?

If you want to set which OS your system boots into (provided Windows is installed using BootCamp and not a virtualization option such as Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox), just hold the "Option" key down when you turn your computer on.  Continue to hold the key down until you see the options for booting into the OS of your choice.  Just click on the arrow under the one you wish (tap to click won't work here if you have it enabled... you'll need to physically click the trackpad).  If you want to change which OS your system normally boots into, just go into System Preferences in OS X and select "Starup Disk".  Whichever OS you select here will be the OS your system will automatically boot into.

  • How can i tell when i purchased an apple product?

I cannot find my time capsule receipt.  Therefore I am unsure how old my time capule is and if it is stillunder apple care.  Any ideas on how I can find this out?  does apple track this?

Apple should keep pretty good idea of when a serial number was released.. just ring up and ask.
But if you have a Gen 1 TC it is out of luck.. they are more than 3years.. Applecare is max 3years.

  • How can we find when the badi is fired

    hi to all experts,
there is badi IWO1_PREQ_BADI it is for tcode iw32 when run the transaction code and put a break point in the badi doesnt get fired at all

    Hello
Assuming that you have an active implementation of your BAdI (SE19; implementing class generated) then I believe you are looking at the wrong transaction. Looking at the interface methods
DECISION_COLL_PREQ     Decide on Collective Purch. Req. Item or New Purch. Req.
DETERMINE_DATE_FOR_SERVICE     Determination of Date for Pricing
and the description of the BAdI ( BAdI for Manipulation of P.Reqs from Orders & Networks ) they are talking about purchase requisitions and not (PM) orders.

  • How can I find when my cabinet will be enabled?

Sorry for another very similar post!
Living in Stevenage with an exchange which supports both BT infinity and virgin medias 100mbps service I am currently only able to get 2mbps ADSL via Sky broadband on a new build flat! All of the streets around me can get fibre service from Virgin however they have no plans to rollout their service to my estate due to cost!
Therefore i was wondering whether it would be possible for someone to tell me if my cabinet will be enabled for fibre, my post code is SG1 4GE. Hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel!
    Thanks in anticipation!

  • HOW CAN I FIND AND DELETE CLEAN MY MAC

I have been haunted with this now for 2 years. I have tried everything I can think of to get this terrible software off my Mac, but hav failed. Every few minutes this software pops up and asks me if I want to delete my trash with it. Can someone show me how to find it?
    This is my Mac specs:

"CleanMyMac" is a scam and a common cause of instability and poor performance. The developer's instructions don't completely remove it. Follow those instructions, then do as below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Repeat with this line:
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Never again install "CleanMyMac" or anything like it.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
