How can I fix a Window that disappears Off Screen

Hi,
I'm running a new installation of MAX/msp and the output window does not appear on my monitor. When I use exspose the window comes in to view but when I click on it it disappears off screen to the left, therefore I can't grab it with my mouse.
I think the problem stems from when I was using dual monitors, one of which burned out so I am now only using one.
So far I've deleted all the MAX/msp preferences that I can find.
I've looked in System Preferences - Displays - This shows that my mac only expects to see my single monitor.
I remember in OS9 there was a key command to allow you to move windows without the use of a mouse - If there's one for OSx it would probably solve my problem but I can't find it.
I'm using a G4 dual 867 OSX 10.4.7 with a SyncMaster920n monitor

Click on the Hot Corners.. button and look at the four definitions. In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop. Set it to "-" to deactivate.

How are you trying to transfer it and what are your setting on iTunes. I'm not on a computer that has iTunes at the moment so I'm going from memory and similar issue. If iTunes is set to sync music then I don't think you can select and drag, if set to manual manage music then you can. Also make sure you are dragging to music on the iPhone.

How to get back windows that are off screen?

I use my macbook at work with one attached display, and then at home with a different attached display. The two extra displays are different sizes. A lot of times when I plug it into the smaller of the two displays, some of the windows come up off screen and I can't figure out how to drag them back on. For example now I have a Microsoft Word window where the bottom half is on the screen, and the top half is up above the top of the screen. The only way I know to move a window is to grab the top edge and drag it, but the top edge is off the screen so I can't do that.
Also sometimes a window is bigger than the screen height, and the only way I know to make it smaller is to drag the bottom right corner, but the bottom right corner is off the screen and the window height is bigger than the monitor height.
Is there a way to get these windows back all the way onto the screen? Thanks.

This is one of the most serious flaws of the Macintosh, and in many instances there is just NO answer. You could resort to writing a script using the Script Editor, but this seems a tough way to get round what is essentially a bug in the OS - it has been there for over 20 years and I don't think Apple are about to realise that the age of multiple screens and changing screen sizes is here NOW and it is time to change so we can resize from any border like all other modern OSs.

How can I fix my display that had vertical lines when I open/close the lid?

Just a few minutes ago, as I was adjusting the Macbook's lid, I got a huge vertical line showing on my display. The line goes away after I fiddled with the lid a little. Now, every time I open/close the lid, the lines sometimes pop in and out, always in the same area.
I'm scared the wires connecting to the Macbook's display is loose or something. What can I fix it?

Sounds like the LVDS cable might have come loose somewhere or is faulty, would not say it's the LCD just yet. If it's under warranty just take it to any apple store or local service provider. If it's out of warranty I would not suggest taking to an Apple Store because they will just quote you the whole display, but an Apple Service Provider might be able or wiling to attempt to just repair the faulty part in the display(just know your model display does not come apart easily) http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1434 , good luck

All of a sudden a few days ago my window on my MacBook pro expanded and now does not fit all at one time on the screen. I must have done something but do not know what. How can I fix a website that's not compatible with Firefox?

I work with a website (www.cumctopeka.org) which seems to have compatibility issues with Firefox. I upload audio files through the program FileZilla, and through the website designer Bridge Element (www.bridgeelement.com). Recently the problem has occurred that when audio files are uploaded, they are played as video files through Firefox. Internet Explorer is able to play the files, but not Firefox. I've contacted Bridge Element's tech support several times and they finally said it was a Codec issue with Firefox and some Windows OS. I've personally been able to use Firefox on cumctopeka.org on a Windows 8 and everything works as it should, but then another WIndows 8 laptop will have issues.

I think this is normal, actually. When you load an MP3 "full tab" with the content type audio/mpeg Firefox does use the "video" tag. I think this is left over from a time when there were some limits on the controls of the audio tag.
Anyway, if you want more control over the choice and appearance of the player, you would need to embed a player in your list page.

Hello. I'm currently having an issue while attempting to play Arma 3. Everytime I join a lobby/session in Arma3, I can play about 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes, but no longer because at a moment, my screen freezes if I am playing it in Fullscreen, but if I'm playing
in Windowed Mode, I get this error message saying "DX11 error : buffer Map failed : DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED",
and with that happening, I am not able to play. I have posted about this issue on Arma 3 Forums, etc.. And I got alot of different answers so I will list them and ask which one should I do and if there are more solutions, I'd like to know.
- Disable Windows Aero when playing Arma 3.
- Uninstall and Install DirectX to update.
- Reinstall Arma 3.
- My clock might be overclocked. (I don't know how that would bug a game).

Are you using the latest drivers on your displaycard / latest DirectX -version?
Have you run Dxdiag.exe and checked there are no erros to be found there?
Have you changed your display settings (ingame and also in windows level)? You should check if the error still happens if you lower your graphics settings.

You will also have to uncheck your phone number is Settings>Messages>Send and Receive. You can't delete the phone nunber since it associated with your yur accounbt whch has the phone.
