You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite.  It is not listed on their system requirement website:
    Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion
    Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard*
Note: ArchiCAD 17 is the last version of ArchiCAD to support Mac OS X 10.6
Only case insensitive file-system volumes are supported.

I have Photoshop Elements 10 on a new Mac, using Yosemite 10.1.1 - PE locks up every time I try to sign in. This software was restored to this computer from Time Machine after a theft of my old Mac. How can I fix this? It keeps telling me that there are missing files, too. If I upgrade to Elements 12 or beyond, will this fix the problem?

You can't sign in because there is nothing to sign in to. For PSE 10 the only sign in was to photoshop.com, which has been dead and gone for a year and half. Just skip the sign in. Reinstalling will not change this.

Just to be clear. You have downloaded the Yosemite installer. However you say while it's updating you get the error you are not online. This is confusing since you shouldn't be able to use your computer in the process of updating.
Exactly where do you see you need to 10.9 to get on Safari?

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.
I didn't have the exact same problem as you, but my dilemma was close enough. Good luck!

After downloading the new OS X Yosemite my computer has been lagging, how can I fix this?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

I have a Photopshop Elements 10.0 on my Mac, I purchased it in English, did an upgrade of my Mac to OS Yosemite and suddenly the language of  Photoshop is German. How can I fix this ?

I have found another solution.  I upgraded to Yosemite and found the the App Store version of PSE 10 (which didn't change) was suddenly in German.  Close PSE if it is open.  Use the Finder and go to the PSE 10 application in the Applications folder.  Right click (or ctl-click) on it and select "Show Package Contents".  Then go to Contents>Locales and delete the de_DE folder.  (I imagine you could also rename it to something starting with a letter after "e".  I think PSE is probably using the first language it comes to in this Locale folder.)  Start PSE.  It worked for me.  Hope this helped.

I just downloaded the OS X Lion mountain and Mail won't open.  I get an error message everytime I try to open the app.How can I fix that?

I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader.
But have you run the the iPhoto Library upgrader? It is installed in Applications > Utilities. Launch it and direct it to your iPhoto library.
Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from?
The upgrader is only necessary, if you have been  running iPhoto7.1.2 or earlier.

  • How can i fix my wifi connection with my router

how can i fix my wifi connection with my router?

I think I'm having a similar problem, my wifi disconnects when a bluetooth device is connected to the MBA.
I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012) with WiFi and Apple Trackpad.  I'm unable to use the trackpad(bluetooth) and wifi at the same time.  If I turn off the trackpad then the wifi works fine and if I shutoff the wifi then the trackpad works fine.  This configuration was working fine prior to upgrading to Yosemite.
I experienced the same problem at home and at the office.
    Additional test:
I turned off the bluetooth trackpad and connected my bluetooth headphones to the MBA.  The wifi disconnected as soon as I paired the headphones with the MBA.
I have had no problems with the MBA's keyboard or integrated trackpad.

Hi, I have a problem with fonts because in the window I can't see the font, they are transparent. how can I fix this?

    giadad,
    It sounds as this issue:
Open System Preferences and go to Accessibility. Next, select Display from the source list along the left, then check the box labelled Reduce transparency.
It was first presented in this post #15 by TheUlser:

It has been described on this Adobe page:

  • How can I fix red flashing tint in new iMovie?

I imported a .mov file into the new imovie version and now I am getting a red flashing tint....how can i fix this??

    dasacom,
In addition to what imagecollection said, the Live Rectangle bug is limited to the MAC versions starting with 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). Hopefully, the bug will be fixed soon.
So a switch to Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstallation might be the way to solve it here and now.
To get round it in each case, it is possible to Expand the Live Rectangles to get normal old fashioned rectangles, or to Pathfinder>Unite, or to use the Scale Tool or the Free Transform Tool.
A more permanent way round that is to create normal old fashioned rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  • How can I fix NSUserDefaults in Xcode, Applescript-Objc?

I stupidly deleted the Plist file that stored the NSUserDefaults information for my application and emptied the trash. There weren't any issues until the next time I compiled my Xcode project, when all NSUserDefaults keys returned a value of "missing value", despite being registered and explicitly set.
I looked in the Preferences folder, and found that a new Plist file had been created, however the only key in it was "missing value". I went into time machine and restored the Plist file, I tried restarting Xcode, restarting my system, deleting the file and creating a new one, and yet the problem still persists.
I tried making a new project with the same code as the other project, and the error persists there as well.
What am I doing wrong and how can I fix NSUserDefaults?

How exactly are you registering your defaults?  Normally I set some properties (you can also get a record/dictionary from a property list file) early in the application setup with starting values, for example:
property someText : "test" -- string
    property someNumber : 0 -- number
    property someList : {"this", "is", 1, "list"} -- list
    property someRecord : {key1:"value1", key2:"value2"} -- record
and then register them using something like:
tell standardUserDefaults() of current application's NSUserDefaults -- register the starting user default items
        registerDefaults_({someText:someText}) -- single
        registerDefaults_({someNumber:someNumber, someList:someList, someRecord:someRecord}) -- multiple
    end tell
The user defaults will be loaded from disk (if they exist) when the application starts up and the registered items will be updated, otherwise they will have your original starting values.  Note that values returned from NSUserDefaults are immutable, so after registering them, I usually just update the application properties from the user defaults with something like:
tell standardUserDefaults() of current application's NSUserDefaults -- update properties
set someText to objectForKey_("someText") as text
set someNumber to objectForKey_("someNumber") as integer
set someList to objectForKey_("someList") as list
set someRecord to objectForKey_("someRecord") as record
    end tell

  • ICal question; my calendar displays the week beginning on Mondays, but when I print it, the week begins on Tuesdays...how can I fix this?

My iCal display shows the week beginning on Mondays, but when I print it, the week starts on Tuesdays.  How can I fix this?

Grrrrr only just upgraded to Yosemite and I gather from the above posts that this glitch has still not been sorted out!  Have to go to settings and set start of week to Sunday to get it to print starting Monday - that's mad! Come on Apple sort it out.  Have to keep switching back and forth as I have to print out iCal for my accounts.  Cross face
