HOW CAN I FIX Microsoft Visual c runtime library R6034

HOW CAN I FIX Microsoft Visual c runtime library R6034

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library R6034 error  with CS6

When I start up the 64bit version of Photoshop CS6 I get the R6034 error.  After about 20 times to delete the error message 64bit CS5 starts.  This does not happen with the 32 bit version. How do I fix this?

    Thanks for following up.
There were no error messages that I saw during the installation process.
The error message comes up when I start the 64 bit CS6 Photoshop the "CS6
logo" starts, but then freezes when the R6034 error windows start. Each
error wiindow closes with a click, but then another one opens. This goes on
for 18 to 20 windows, Then CS6 opens and seems to work fine, including all
the plug-ins from Nik, OnOne, etc.
My Dell desktop system is Win 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 12gb ram and 64
bit OS.  The exact same issue occurs on my Dell laptop with is also Win 7
Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 16gb and 64 bit Operating System.
The 32 bit CS6 Photoshop opens with no errors on either PC.
I re-installed the laptop from the Set-up.exe. The were no errors during
the re-install but the same problems occurred after the re-install.  The
same R6034 errors occurred, but the CS6 went ahead and started with all the
the plugins and actions remained without any additional steps.
The CS6 64 bit seems to be functional, (whew) but it is a pain to go
through all the error windows. I don't know what if there is anything that
won't work because of the C++ Runtime Library difficulty.

  • Windows 7 startup Runtime error, Microsoft Visual C  Runtime library R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Contact application's support staff.

    How to correct this?

    Hey Debbiered1,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so are particularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

  • How to solve dreaded Microsoft Visual C ++  Runtime error?

    Hi,
This is my first post. Grrrrr!
I recently installed 2.5 after having 2.4 and 2.3 and everything has been running along great...until tonight.
When I tried to open 2.5 I get the following message:
"Microsoft Visual C ++  Runtime library
    Program C :/ prog
This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. please contact the application's support team for more info"
I have checked out on line for a work around but there doesn't seem anything that makes clear sense....ie looking for a state-.dat file that doesn't seem to exist in my computer (PC vista xp).
I have also seen that holding down the cntrl button when opening Lightroom can overcome the problem, which it does, at least up until it asks me to create a new directory, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do to create a new directory.
Another thing, I notice that in my program files that I have both 2.4 and 2.5...I don't know if that's behind the conflict.
    Many thanks,
    Adrian

I think you will find that the older LR folder is almost empty and so you'd have to reinstall 2.4 to get it running again and that wouldn't be the first thing to try.
A message about C++ Runtime error really doesn't indicate a particular problem but there are several possibilities:
    1)  Hard disk error or corruption where running a ScanDisk or ChkDsk or whatever it is called nowadays might help fix the problem.
    2)  Corrupt program files.  Reinstalling might fix that.
    3)  A corrupt catalog, where holding down Ctrl (or Alt) when starting up LR will allow you to create a new catalog or at least open a different one, which might work, and get you past the error.  Then you'd need to go to a backup catalog and redo all your work since then, where if you've been writing changes to XMP files, it would be a lot easier.
    4)  A corrupt preferences file.  Navigate to C:\Users\[yourusername]Steve\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences and at least rename the whatever.agprefs file to whatever.agprefsX or something and then restart LR and see if things work differently.
    5)  An errant plug-in you've recently installed.
Item 4 might be the easiest to try and be the easiest to recover from, where all you'd need to do is re-adjust your settings, again, I think.
Item 3, a corrupt catalog, is also easy to test for, but recovery is more difficult.

  • The latest update has resulted in a runtime error (R6034) and I keep being told Microsoft Visual C   Runtime Library is being accessed incorrectly.  Anyone know how to overcome the problem?  I am using a Dell Inspiron  9400 running Vista.

The latest update to itunes has resulted in a whole series of runtime errors (R6034).  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library states it is being accessed incorrectly.  I am also told that Apple Mobile Device Failed to Start.  Additional messages suggest the error is in itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe.  I also get Error 7 (Windows error 1114).  Anyone got any ideas how to overcome this (these) problems?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

    Hi,
Mostly, this kinds of error can be caused by two factors:
1.Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries are missing.
    2.Software problem.
If the issue is caused by #1, you can reinstall the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries to resolve the problem.
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B2DA534-3E03-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF&displaylang=en
If the issue still persists after installing above package, the issue should be a software problem. I suggest you take a clean boot check whether it is a software conflict issue. If not, it is still recommended to address the problem with manufacturer support. Thank you for your understanding.
    For your convenience:
    Clean Boot
    =============================
    1. Click Start, type "MSCONFIG" (without the quotations) in the Search Bar and Press "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility.
    2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
    3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
    4. Restart the computer and test the issue.
Note: Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled, we can re-enable them later. If you see the System Configuration Utility, check the box of "Don't show this message" and then click "OK".
Please monitor the system in the Clean Boot environment. If the problem does not occur, it indicates that the problem is related to one application or service we have disabled. You may use the MSCONFIG tool again to re-enable the disabled item one by one to find out the culprit.
    Hope it helps.

  • Buffer Overrun detected - Microsoft Visual  C++ Runtime Library

My computer, an HP 3400+ with XP home edition has been running fine. I decided I want to watch movie trailers in HD from Yahoo Movies web site and it says I need to upgrade to Quicktime 7 in order to run it. Now it works fine on my laptop so I know it works. I click the "Download Quicktime 7 to view HD" button and go through the process. It goes fine. I reboot and try to run Quicktime and I get this message.
"Buffer Overrun detected - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Program Quicktime Player."
On Explorer and Firefox it still has not recognized that I downloaded the new Quicktime 7.
I am able to right click the Quicktime icon and go to the preference but I can't run the program. I even ran the install and did the repair button but no luck. I find no answers on the net.
    Any ideas?

You will find help on this site: http://pabsungenis.livejournal.com/94683.html
I did ... well it didn't get as complicated as there since in my case the QT installer worked and fixed the problem.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
