I can't see my Canon MG5220 printer... Initially I was getting "there is a communication error" so I rebooted everything, reset the printing system, reinstalled the driver and still NO luck! I see no printers available in the Print & Scan area. If I click "+" it seems to see the scanner, but never the printer. HELP!
The printer component uses a different protocol to advertise itself on the network compared to the scanner component and it can take several seconds longer to appear after the scanner has.
That said, with the introduction of AirPrint, the MG should be seen as Bonjour Multifunction in the Add Printer window, as shown below.
Selecting this Bonjour Multifunction entry will create a printer using AirPrint and a scanner using the iCA driver.
So do you see the MG5220 as Bonjour Multifunction or just Bonjour? -

The "signed out" message seems to be related to how Yahoo authenticates you. Some users have reported that disabling automatic proxy detection solves the problem, and it also resolves an issue of getting logged out every few minutes, if you have ever experienced that.
To make the change:

On the "Network" mini-tab, click the "Settings" button, then choose "No Proxy" and OK your way back out.

Plug it into a wall outlet and leave it plugged in for approximately 20 minutes.
Then try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds.
Does the device power on at this point? If not, the battery or logic board is gone.
Take it to Apple for evaluation.
It may be worth replacing the battery, but I personally wouldn't spend the $149US for an Out of Warranty replacement on a 3+yr old device. -
How can I get Acrobat Reader X to send my pdf to the printer?
My pdf just looks at me while I push all of the buttons, file menus and keyboard shortcuts associated with printing and it does nothing. No dialog box, no nothing. All three of my printers work and i've tried them all. It just doesn't do anything. Any suggestions? I really need help here.

Based on your description, you are having a kernel panic.

Kernel panics are usually caused by a hardware problem – frequently RAM, a USB device or a Firewire device. What external devices do you have connected? If Loop Mode is supported by the version of the Apple Hardware Test you are using, you run the Extended Test in Loop Mode by pressing Control-L before starting the test. Looping On should appear in the right window. Then click the Extended Test button.The test will run continuously until a problem is found. If a problem is found, the test will cease to loop, indicating the problem it found. If the test fails, be sure to write down the exact message associated with the failure.In some cases, RAM problems did not show up until nearly 40 loops, so give it a good run.
