How can i fix my entire itunes library?

so my computer crashed and i didnt have my music backed up anywhere except for on my iphone.
i got a new computer and that itunes only had downloaded my previously purchased itunes songs, which is about 600 songs; but on my phone i have over 2,000 songs.
i wanted to put one single song on my phone that i couldnt buy on itunes because itunes doesnt have this song.
i read on a different discussion that if i chose "manually manage music" and clicked apply that i would be able to do so without it affecting my library on my phone.
however when i did that, it erased my entire library on my phone and i dont even know if restoring it will restore the music.
i just want my music back; and then a way to transfer it all onto my computer so this wont happen again would be great.
HELP???

There should have been a warning that switching to manually managed mode would wipe current media from the device. The tips in Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device would have worked at that point however I fear it is now too late for that approach.
If you are lucky it may be possible to extract the hard drive from the "dead" computer and recover your personal data from it.

  • How can I move my entire iTunes library from old laptop to new one?

I got a new iPad for Xmas to replace an old laptop not realising I would still have to have a laptop or PC for my main iTunes library. I have got round ths by creating my own area on my partner's laptop & have installed my iTunes library on there. However, it has only installed my purchased music & not my wider collection such as all my CD's that I burned then got rid of to go digital. I have my complete library on my iPad & iPhone but need it on my laptop too in case I lose or break a device & need to install my iTunes library to a new device.
I have followed the support detailing how to move your iTunes to a new computer but am not getting very far. I don't have an iPod to use as an external hard drive. I read that you can drag your iTunes library to a CD or DVD but my library is 16GB & I don't have any disc big enough!
Does anyone have an idea of a simple way I can do this? Is it not possible to do it directly from my iPad or iPhone seeing as my complete library is on both of these devices?

Before you connect any device to a new library go to the Devices tab of the the preferences panel via Edit > Preferences (Windows) or iTunes > Preferences (Mac) and ensure the box next to Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically is ticked. You can now safely connect the device to your computer without the danger of media being automatically deleted or overwritten.
To get all your content off your connect your iPad to your new computer.
Then use a 3rd party piece of software to transfer your content
I have found Senuti useful but there are others listed in the article I linked to in a previous post.
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
That will let you transfer your non purchased content
For Purchased content log in to iTunes on the new computer
In Itunes Store click on Purchased under the Quick Links section on the right.
Download any music by clicking on the cloud button

  • How can I get my entire itunes library onto my PC laptop?

I had an ipod touch, where I bought and stored most of my music. I only have a few songs on my PC laptop. Unfortunately my ipod has litterally fallen apart, to the point where it can't be used (pieces of the screen, wiring, and the outside have fallen off.) How can I get the entirety of the songs I have purchased using my apple id, including those that were on my ipod, onto my laptop? I have itunes 10.7 currently, but can install a newer version of itunes if need be. (As you may have noticed) I'm not a particurally tech savvy person, and I thank you greatly for your help.

  • How can i restore my entire iTunes library onto my new mac book pro from a previous time machine backup?

after using the migration assistant, it appears that only my iTunes purchases loaded into my library on the new MCB, not allllll the other mp3's i've loaded in from other sources, although they are sitting in the back.up folders on my external drive. those mp3's have to be opened manually to get them back into iTunes. there has to be a more effiecient way to load these tunes right?????

After creating a new playlist in iTunes, how can I add my entire music library --at once-- to the new playlist. I want to download all my music from Icloud at once on my Macpro

You have two separate questions here...
To get all your music into one playlist, select Music in the sidebar and click the Songs view at the top. Then, highlight all the songs and drag them into your playlist.
I don't know if it's possible to download all Purchased content (or do you mean iTunes Match content?) at once; try a few Google searches.

  • HT4914 How do I download my entire iTunes library back to my computer and iPhone ?

The things I love about iTunes Match are:
    upgraded audio quality
entire music library backed up to cloud to prevent loss
    available on multiple devices anywhere*
The thing I hate about iTunes Match is that if I don't have access to WiFi or Cellular then I have NO ACCESS to my music. Since I travel often and am frequently in situations where there is no Wifi/Cellular (or it's to expensive when in another country) I'm left with no options.
My question is - How do I download my ENTIRE ITunes Library to both my computers, iphone and ipads?
I can't image clicking the "download icon" on 50,000 songs... is there a workaround for this?
    thank you!
    Michael

Archived - How to back up your media in iTunes
If you use a regular CD, then you will need a lot (depending on how many songs, videos, or apps) I recommend using DVDs so that way, you can store a lot. (CDs hold up to 800MB or 80min.; DVDs hold up to 4.7GB or 120 min.)

  • How can i back up my iTunes library if i want to uninstall it?

how can i back up my iTunes library if i want to uninstall it?

    Quit iTunes.
    Locate your external hard drive.
Mac: On the Desktop or Finder sidebar.
    Windows: In My Computer
Drag the iTunes folder (backed up earlier) from your external hard drive to whatever location you desire on your internal hard drive. It is recommended that you choose the default location for the iTunes folder, which is:
    Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
    Windows Vista: \Users\username\My Music\
    Windows 7 or 8: \Users\username\Music\
Open iTunes while holding down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows).
In the resulting dialog, click the Choose Library button.
Select the iTunes folder you just moved to the internal hard drive.
Click Choose (Mac OS X) or Open (Windows) and then choose the iTunes Library file inside .
After following these steps, iTunes will open and your iTunes Library will be restored.
