It was working before I changed the screen, and after as well. After I did the hard reset it stopped working all together. No dummies saying," Buy a new one.." Or,"Take it to Apple" for easy points. Is there any thing else I can do, or even, what caused this? And is there a fix? Thanks.

I can't wait for the iPod 6 to come out, and I am wondering if you're able to trade in your 5th gen for the 6th gen? I've only had my iPod Touch 5g for a year and there are little to no scratches. How much of credit would I get for it? Also, I still have all of the original packaging.

But now I can't find how to pay the book back! I can see it in my itunes library and play in on my computer, but not on my device (which I have synced since making the purchase). Can you find the audio book by using the Search feature on the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the audio book to the iPod?

Without cracking it open you really can't. This is a long shot, you could try drying it out. Do not attempt to charge or turn on, leave it off. Place it in a sealed bag of uncooked rice for about a week. change the rice every couple of days. After you dry it attempt to turn it on, you my need to charge it first, about 30 minutes. If it works great, if not you may need to reset or attempt to restore. And it may never work again, but for a couple of dollars of rice its worth trying. If you do get it to work the first thing you want to do is make a full backup to your computer. The thing with water damage is you just don't know how long it will continue to work. If you go to Apple be prepared to spend some money, water damage is not covered with the standard warranty. Good luck, hope this helps. Cheers.
