How can I fix not being able to export from InDesign CC?

I'm working on Mac with Mavericks OS.
I don't know what happened but the Export feature under the File menu is greyed out. Consequently I cannot export. This has not happenned since working in CC for about a year.
After reseraching forums I found that I could try Replacing Preferences with Shift/Cntrl/Option/Command. After doing this I launched InDesign CC and the Export feature was enabled. However, afte quitting and relaunching InDesign, the Export feature again was greyed out/disabled. I replaced preferences once again and Export again was available. But after quitting and relaunching InDesign the export feature again was not available.
Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them, then boot in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.

It possibly means that one of your apps is no longer on your computer - it still appears in the Apps library in iTunes but the actual physical file is no longer on your computer. You could go through the Apps section of your library in iTunes double-clicking on each and hopefully on one of them you'll get a 'cannot locate file' popup; in which case remember which app it is, delete it from iTunes, and then re-download it

How to uninstall manually Adobe Reader XI in a corrupted install and not being able to uninstall from control panel

It seems that Adobe Reader X1(11.0.0.9) installed and the installation was corrupted. It now opens up the Windows help center automatically. Booting the computer in safe mode and trying to unistall in the control panel, I get the Windows Installer Servicee could not be accessed. I am able to uninstall other programs with no problem.

One way is to download again and install, then uninstall. That sometimes resolves the issue. To clear the registry of Acrobat and Reader (this is the Acrobat forum by the way, Reader is another forum), use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.

Can I bypass not being able to run PowerPC applications on my mac?

Is it possible to bypass the "You cannot open the open because PowerPC applications are no longer supported"? I can't find anything and I need to get past it to instal a game. My macbook pro w/out retina runs the latest version of mavericks by the way.

Yes: You can install Snow Leopard Server into Parallels and regain access to Rosetta, which will allow many games to run again in Mavericks. However some games with complex or 3D graphics may not run well or work at all in virtualization.

How do I solve not being able to scroll or enter letters for search topics

I am having trouble scrolling while on the internet. Also having problems typing in letters for the search topic. What do I need to do to get this corrected. Have done virus scans daily for 2 weeks with no viruses found. Have also removed all cookies and deleted old files.

You don't make mention of the system you are using and or whether you are using a wired or wireless keyboard and or mouse. Check to see if you can scroll or typing letters in other areas like the internet explorer search feature. If you cannot then it might be something to do with the mouse and or keyboard. Check your connections and maybe even uninstall the drivers for these devices then reboot your system to see if the reloading of the drivers helps solve the problem. In reality your scroller wheel on your mouse should allow this feature. Try this and repost back. I'll keep an eye out for your reply. Regards

Software Update is now operated therough the Mac App Store. I'm guessing that you have a version not purchased through the Mac App Store, but on DVD?

How can i fix my headphones and my microphone from buzzing?

So i got a new headset the razer carcharias and when i plug it in to the back of my iMac it makes a buzzing sound. i have a syba usb stereo audio adapter for a mic and headphone jack but the headset requires both mic and headphone adapter and a usb port to work. every time i try to hear or talk it would i have a loud buzzing sound. It won't stop only when i shut down my iMac and if i don't it will just keep buzzing. when i plug the usb thats when it starts making the buzzing. i have tried all the usb ports on my mac but each one were the same. i don't know how to solve this and its very frustrating. btw i plug my iMac in a wire cable not the one on the wall idk if that makes any difference but i read something about the cable. PLZZ HELP!

I cannot drag my pictures into clips from my iphoto so I have to drag them from my actual photo file in My Pictures. Anyone know why?

a secure way is to copy the photo out to desktop from "My Photos"
then use a photo editor to rotate it eg PhotoShop or Elements
Re-save under a new name and as .jpg
Import or just drop this into Your iMovie project.
I prepare all my photos in a folder on desktop first then put them into iMovie.
• Rotation/Color/Size etc.

file > export > Quicktime > custom > then select one of the codecs: MPEG-4, standard DV, HDV, AVCHD, Apple Intermediate Codec and use full size in the options.

How do I tell Apple to fix their software like apps that play sound even though the sound is turned off and not being able to disable features you hate like game center

Apple is suppose to be the pinnacle of usability and, yet, I want to throw my new IPhone 4s as far as I can and watch is smash into a million pieces on concrete. Seriously, I've already got three things that irritate the **** out of me. First, there are Apple apps that insist on playing sound even though the sound is turned off. If I flick a switch to turn the sound off, I want the sound off!!!! Second, if I do not want a totally unnecessary feature like Game Center, I should be able to disable it. I completed most of the Angry Bird levels with 2 or 3 stars and now I have to start over from square one. Maybe, this happened when I upgraded to the 4s but it sure seemed to happen when I joined Game Center. Tomorrow, I am going to reset my 4s to factory defaults to try to get rid of my Game Center account. I don't want Game Center! I do need Game Center! I hate Game Center! Finally, I had an alarm go off to wake me up and there was a Snooze button but no button to turn the alarm off. I flicked the slider to access the main screen expecting to see something to turn the alarm off but there was nothing. The alarm just kept alarming. I had to warm boot my IPhone to shut the alarm off! Really, Apple!!!!

The alarm went off. There was a green thing that looked like a button but pressing it did nothing. There was a red button that said snooze. I did not want to snooze. I wanted to turn the alarm off. I slid the bar to unlock the phone and there were no running apps with a button to press. The alarm just keep running. I have not had this problem since it first occurred. The alarm now shuts off when I just unlock the phone. It may have happened because I had another alarm app running. The two may have interfered with each other. I would like to tell Apple about it.
It also annoys me that the button that closes apps leaves the phone app running. If I press on a number at 6:00 AM to get information about who called me, the phone automatically dials the person back and my natural reaction is to press on the button to close the phone app but the phone keeps dialing this person at 6:00 AM. It is a bad design. I would like to tell Apple about it.
Finally, I looked all over Apple's site to try to find someplace I could send them a polite message to let them know that I was not happy with these "features" but could not find anything. It is extremely frustrating to have issues with a product and not being able to tell the manufacturer about it. So, you grow up!.
