How can I force the Disk Cache on with Apple Raid Card?

I have an apple raid card in my mac pro that has now had it's battery fail twice. I don't really want to keep putting money into this and would rather just force the disk cache on and hope my UPS works, I don't use this box for real work anymore anyway and it's all backed up.
There used to be a force on button next to the Write Cahce Status section, but that seems to have gone away. Does anyone know how to force the cache on? Permanently if possible.

Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

when I open an email attachment it goes to the intended application but when I click on the downloaded file in Downloads it invokes OpenOffice and then it displays:

I have an airport extreme, I downloaded the Airport Utility, I connected the printer and everyting is fine, I can access the printer from other computers at home. Then I unplugged the printer and connected an USB disk (working of course), and everything is fine, Airport Utility detected it. However, I dont know how can I access the disk from the computers. I have all windows 7 computers at home, but now way to see the disk. What I am doing wrong

How can I burn a disk of photos with a modified file name?

After importing photos from scan device, I use Photos > Batch > Change to rename files. When burning a disk the changed file names do not transfer with the image but use the original file name. How can I burn a disk of photos with the modified file name?
This is what I have done so far with no success.
Drag selected photos from Event to Burn Folder where the file names were changed. Burn folder lists file with original file name.
Drag albums to Burn Folder with the same result.
In Filer I am able to change the iPhoto Library > Master > Date > Filename and then drag to burn disk folder and see the changed name but this is a single file exercise without a view of the file's image, but to use the new file name in iPhoto events I have to repeat the naming convention.

File > Export.
In the resulting dialogue note the "Name" section. Choose to use the Title as Filename.

On windows, IP Helper functions, like SendARP allow you to pass an IP address and get the hardware address. Last year, I had the Super Bowl streaming online to my macbook pro, and via AirPlay I streamed it to my Apple TV. I plan to do the same thing this year, except using my new iMac. Just need to find a website that is going to be streaming it. Foxsportsgo.com has said they will be streaming and will not required verification of an eligable paid cable/satalite subscription to watch the Super Bowl only. So crossing fingers that it works cause I don't get regular antenna signal where I live, nor do I pay for cable/satalite services.
