I dont know how formatting will help speed your system. The phone slows down if you leave too many applications open at the same time.
Here is the code to format, *#7370#. But remember to backup your phone before you do this as this will erase all user data, user defined phone settings.

That is called a soft-reboot and indicates a programming issue (software bug) within your phone. Especially if circumstances are like yours – broken hardware (microSD) – the software does not know how to continue correctly and does a soft-reboot. This is no unusual with Nokia software and does not indicate any virus. Furthermore, I am not aware of any virus which is able to damage an SD card on that level, you are experience. It would not even make sense, because a virus wants to spread himself.
If that behaviour continues, turn off your Nokia phone. Let it alone for one minute (to make sure it is really turned-off) and then remove the battery for one minute. Then everything should be back to normal. If not, I would first change the SIM rather than investing all the time to reset the phone.

If you have made necessary backups and your sure you want to format,
You may select Menu> sett> restore factory sett> Restore all
This will reset all preference settings and delete all personal data, such as contacts, messages, media files etc...
Check your user guild (pg. 42)

Please guide me how can I format phone memory of N79. My N79 phone memory is 4 MB now but before it was 64 MB. I want format it. I tried *#7370#, mobile phone is restarting but no effect on phone memory. it is still same 4 MB. Any body has any idea please help me

Before perfoming this please take a backup of your data.
Factory defaults-
Type *#7780# on your standby screen.
This will reset all your setting to default factory settings. User data wont be affected.(Default Lock code is 12345)
Soft reset-
Type *#7370#
This will reset the phone as well delete user data. Use when want to format the phone.
If none of these worked then you might want to do a hard reset.
For this you have to-
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.( Just in case of N78 it will be the multimedia key the small silver key on right side & for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. For Nokia N97 is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE. )
3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button to switch on the phone.
4. Release the buttons when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.

I've been stuck for over 2 hours trying to get my e72 to setup messgeging but when I go through the wizard and enter in my email adress Gmail and Yahoo after password I get put back to the setup process, and I tried adding a pop it took it but then it wouldn't work.
I tried to log into email.nokia.com/account/home.action but non of my email address passwords worked. I then created an ovi mail account verified it all and that won't work on email.nokia.com/account/home.action I have also tried the pop address that went in bust doesn't send a receive and still no go. How can I create a nokia messeging acount online without the PHONE? then link it to my phone and addresses.
This should be a 4 step process and it's taking a long time and still no go.
Does any one know how to get past this area?
I am forcced to return this Brand New 272 if I can't get this messeging working ASAP.
You would expect that an E-Series phone made to E-mail would woudl have a flawless E-mail setup process, this is a HUGE strike against Nokia if this their competition has a such a superior interface and support process.

You could, or if you want to keep the current account you could go into your account settings and change the default email address to something else, then you will be free to use the email you want for another account. It's up to you.

In the Style drawer click on the triangle for the Footnote in the paragraph style section. You have to move the cursor to the left to see the trinagle

How can I format a field in the form creator? It's putting the same text in all the fields within a table. I want each field within the table to have different text. As soon as you click out of the table, all the text is the same.
I even changed the fields from a text box to a drop-down list so a person can make their selection, which will be a quantity from 0-9. There are two of these such fields. You make your selection in each, click off the table and both fields show whatever I selected in field 1. The original Qty I selected in the bottom field was a 5 but it changed it to whatever is in the top field on it's own. I've added a screen shot.

This behaviors usually happens when you create the fields but a copy paste command from one of the fields. The copy paste command assumes that your intentions is to maintain a copy of the field in two separate locations (e.i, a form field "company name" printed in each and every page of a multi-page form document.
Go to the properties fields of each field and make sure to assign unique form field names.
