1. Double click "Terminal.app" from Finder -> Applications -> Utilities.
2. In Terminal window, input:

3. Press enter key.
4. Input password of admin user then press enter key.

Some keyboard commands work OK. But some do unexpected things. For example, when I press the F11 key in InDesign, the page parts like a curtain opening leaving the empty desktop; the same key toggles the page back again. What the F11 key should do is open the Paragraph Style palette. Strangely, the "single-digit" commands -- F5, F6, etc. work OK. But those with 2 digits -- F11, F12 -- do not. (This is a G5 iMac with the original keyboard.) How can I fix this?

That's Apple's Exposé at work. To change the keys for that, go into System Preferences, then Dashbord & Exposé (top row, second in). You can change the keys, disable it, or assign corners of the screen to do it.
Conversely, you could go into InDesign -> Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts and change the Paragraph style pallete (gotta dig for that) command to Command f-keys.
I'd actually do the second one, as easy access to Exposé just rules - once you get used to it, it will be second nature. It's especially helpful when you have a pile of Photoshop and InDesign windows open, and need to find one particular one, or need to see something on the desktop.

Windows7, Firefox version? (not sure what version! it doesn't come up under Properties!) but my computer was just upgraded to Windows7 last week & Firefox reinstalled, so probably the latest version. OverDrive (ODM file extensions) is a DRM software system used by public libraries to limit checkout/access of streamed audio & e-books. But the audiobooks won't download. The troubleshooting directions say that I shoule be able to find the ODM file extension under Tools -- Options -- Applications in Firefox. But it isn't listing. Perhaps this is why the download doesn't work? How do I get Firefox to work with ODM file extension?

You cannot install iTunes 10.7 unless you upgrade your iMac to Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later, and that upgrade is not free. You can try iTunes 10.6.3:

That's worked for some people who updated their iOS device to iOS 6 or have wished to do so. If not, then you'll need to upgrade your Mac to Mac OS X 10.6.8 at minimum so you can run iTunes 10.7.

How can I get it off FIREFOX 5.0 extensions?? And when will it be available for firefox?

Unfortunately I tried to install Smart Web Printing as an extension on Firefox (back at FF version 3,5 or so) -- and now cannot seem to find a way to remove it since it is still 'incompatible'!!
Also, when will HP have a version that actually does run on Firefox? (I currently use FF version 5.0) and very seldom use IE v.8.

Doing so, go to the Windows Start menu and search field type "Run (A Windows program)" In him the following type "regedit" now go in this order"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Extensions" folder you seethis extensions installed under Firefox, there click the right mouse button and select delete. And start your browser.
P. S.: Firefox can not be running.

and read the notes re. your model. So, the next best thing then would be MPEG Streamclip (free) which should be able to convert your footage to something iMovie can work with. Note: You may need to purchase the MPEG2 Playback Component from the Apple Store (less than $20) which may be needed (that depends on a) your OS version and b) the MPEG Streamclip version).

Had never seen these pop up pages before I tried to delete the Mapneto tool bar, now every time I open a tab or a link up pops this stupid "download completed" come-on ad which is monstrously annoying. Short of dumping Firefox and re installing, what else can be done? My "block pop ups" box is checked, too, and it does not work...I see other popups all the time. thanks.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

How can I get a copy of Premiere and Media Encoder CS6?

I need to be able to convert a video that has an alpha channel into an FLV file for import into Captivate 8. Captivate only works with FLV and MP4, and only FLV has an alpha channel. However, FLV was removed as an option from the CC version of Premiere/Media Encoder.
Supposedly, you can download old versions of the software from the CC desktop app, but I can't. In my CC app, there is no Old Versions option in the Filters, and there is no option to download old versions on the Install buttons, or anywhere else for that matter.
We have the Team version of CC, and our IT dept is switching us over to Enterprise, if that has anything to do with it.
So, is there any way to download and install CS6 versions of Premiere and Media Encoder?
