I accidentally deleted iphoto from my mac, and need to reinstall an earlier version then the one currently offered at the App Store that requires me to upgrade to Maverick. Any suggestions? I have a macbook Pro, that I purchased after 2011 and so the software was automatically loaded on my computer when I got it. I do not have the original CDs.

i dont want to update to yosemite. i have version 10.8.5 snow lion and i like it. have read a lot about yosemite that i didnt want to mess with, such as i tunes 12, i already hated what they did to i tunes when we lost cover flow. even though i have updates through the mountain lion update my i movie is still version 7.1.4 and i wanted to know if there's any updates i could get up to mountain lion for i movie.

It may be worth the price if you use one or more of these apps regularly. For iBooks try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it.
You can also try similar for the Kindle app - I don't know whether Amazon have made older versions of their app available in the store, so it may not work for that. If not, then as a work-around you could use their cloud reader 'app' : http://read.amazon.com - go to that site on Safari on your iPad and then create a homescreen shortcut for it (kindle cloud reader help)

Thanks Chris, there a number of problems I'm experiencing. When I insert a CD, despite the preference being ticked, I nolonger get the box that asks me if I want to import. When I did manage to import I couldn't find where the file had gone. Perhaps what I need is a good user guide for the latest version of iTunes because at this point the impression I have is unless I'm buying from iTunes nothing seems to work as it previously did. It is impossible to add anything to my library.
I'd be the first to admit I'm no computer nerd and all the information I've found so far to try and sort out my difficulties don't seem to work. Can someone please tell me where can I get a good user guide for iTune 12.0.1.26 because I find it far from intuitive? At least then I have a chance of working out if it's me or the machine.
