I have a new bold,i would like to give my partner my old curve.We are both on the same network but it doesnt work.Do i need tyo register the sim with blackberry

You partner will need to contact their mobile network provider to ensure their SIM card has been provisioned with a BlackBerry data plan.

As AT&T has not officially unlocked your phone it must have been hacked to use another carrier. So when you updated it has relocked itself to AT&T. There is no official unlock so this will happen anytime you update.

In that case the procedure assuming it is a PAYG phone is to get an o2 PAYG sim, put £20 on it and then make a few calls making sure you leave £15 on the sim to pay for the unlock. Then there is an online unlock request form on the o2 site just fill this in. It takes between 1-14 days and you get a message from o2 telling you how to complete the official unlock through iTunes.
I got my o2 unlock in nov 09 so this is not just opinion.

You cannot use a SIM card on a carrier locaked phone, other than a sim from the carrier the phone is locked to. You must first get the carrier it is locked to, to unlock your phone. Apple does not unlock phones.

I've tried turning my phone off and on, hard reset, removing SIM, cleaning out dust, using the hair dryer, network reset, cleaning headphone port, made sure the phone was not on vibrate,and made sure "Change with buttons" was on. Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

If your iPhone was unlocked and has relocked after an update to iOS, then the iPhone was hacked to unlock it and has now been locked back to the original carrier. You'll need to contact the carrier to whom the iPhone is locked and request unlocking. They may refuse to do so since you're not the person with whom they had the contract.

You did install the latest iTunes (10.5) right? If the problem was that iTunes does not see the iPod try:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
or

Thanks, just so I know we are talking about the same items please let me know - When you say "run Prokit" do you mean downloaded? Which I did. I dont have Prokit 4.0.1 if you are referring to that, do I need this first? Please explain what application name I am looking for if other than Prokit which is sitting in my "download folder" do I need to manually put it into the apps folder? How can I get my ipod to work with itunes?

When I connect my ipod classic into my new computer it seems that itunes does not recognize it. How can I get my ipod to work with itunes? I'm afraid to disconnect my ipod because the display is saying Do Not Disconnect.

1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.
