How can i get back my contacts when they have been deleted?

I tried putting music on my iPhone 5 for the first time and after doing it I realized all my contacts, messages, and photos were replaced with my moms contacts, messages, and photos that she had backed up on to the same computer. How can I retrieve all of the things i had lost?

What address book or cloud service were you syncing them with? Are they still there?

If you don't have a backup or never imported your pics to your computer, then no you can't retrieve it.

You delete them the same way you got them there, via the sync process. Connect the phone to the computer and iTunes, go to the Photo tab, remove the checkmark by the photos you want to remove and sync. They will be deleted from the phone. You cannot delete them directly from the phone.

If your contacts aren't on icloud.com when you check from your computer, and they aren't on your phone, you'll have to try restoring your last backup (or recover them from another backup source).

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly. Your contacts should be in whatever program you have chosen to sync (Outlook or Address Book for example).

From your backups. By doing a clean install you erased your startup volume. You may have installed OS X, but your personal software was erased. You can restore from backups if your have them. If not, then you've lost it all, permanently.

If you simply remove the work iPad from the iCloud account, nothing will be deleted from the cloud. That is the approach you should take.

Have you tried to drag the alias to the desktop?
When you look at an alias, what folder is it stored in? If you highlight it, it should show the information in the path bar at the bottom of the finder window. If the path bar isn't visible, click on View and select show path bar.
You may try to repair permissions using disk utility and see if that helps.
