How can i get elements 13 to run on my pc

I installed Elements 13 and Premier Elements 13 on my PC running Windows 8.1
When trying to run the programs, a message appears that "an App on your PC needs DirectPlay" and an install screen appears. I click install and a message appears "the function attempted to use a name that is reserved for use by another transaction" Error code 0x80071A90.
Since my new PC is running Directx11, and Elements calls for 9 or 10, I downloaded Directx End user runtime web installer 9.0c
The problem and messages are the same. Any ideas?

Do you have Silverlight installed?
What browser are you using? I know that FireFox 4 beta 7/8 had a problem. Make sure if you are, update to the non-beta version.

As a temporary workaround until this bug is fixed, try running Firefox 4 Beta in 32-bit mode, using these instructions:

Hold down the control key while you click the Firefox icon and select Get Info from the list of menu items.
In the "Firefox Info" window, click the box in front of "Open in 32-bit mode" so that it is checked.
Close the "Firefox Info" window and then restart Firefox 4.

Well, you can go to Window>Welcome and make your change there, but the welcome screen leaves a process always running, so you would do better to go into the Program Files or Program Files (x86) in windows or the applications folder on a mac and find the actual .exe/application for the organizer and make a desktop shortcut/dock icon and use that in the future to launch the organizer, avoiding the welcome screen entirely.

You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

No, you can still buy photoshop cs6 (perpetual license) if one doesn't want to subscribe to the cloud version (photoshop cc version 14)

I bought quicktime pro 7 a couple of years ago and have a registration code. At the time I used the program to make some time lapse movies. I'd like to make a couple of time lapse movies again but quicktime pro 7 is no where to be found. This probably ha something to do with updating the os between then and now. The question is how can I get quicktime pro 7 running again? The unlocking instructions I have for quicktime pro 7 that I received with the key do not correspond with what the system preferences now show. Any assistance would be appreciated. I am currently running OS X version 10.9.5 on an older iMac.

How can I install Elements 11, which I bought in bundle with Premier Elements 11, without getting problems at "Shared Techologies" ? I foolishly uninstalled my Elements 10 the day before I tried to install Elements 11, now I cannot re-install that without the same error. I have tried System Restore back to before I uninstalled my Elements 10 but same problem, I tried msconfig.exe, for a clean boot, and disabled half the programs there, no good, then I disabled the remainder, no good. I have disabled my Norton antivirus, no good. Have deleted PDAppFlex.swf and PDAppFlex-app.xml as advised by Adobe but all to no avail. I have a Windows 7 HP Pavillion desktop PC with 3GB RAM, Pentium Dual CoreCPUE5300 @2.6 GHZ. 179 GB free on HD.Can someone pklease help? John Feek

Disregard the above since Firefox 10 (or any version after Firefox 3.6) won't work on Mac OS 10.4.11. You will have to download Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html and copy it to your old powerbook G4 OS 10.4.11

I just installed the full version of Elements 12 and I can't get it to run. It keeps wanting me to start the trial version. I installed the full version and I know that it is installed. I tried inserting the disc again, but then it just offered to uninstall.

Did you enter a serial number and create an adobe ID? There is no difference between the trial and the full version except for being activated.

i've been having issues for weeks trying to get elements 10 to install. i got it with my intuos 4 tablet, downloaded it, and i have the serials ready to go.
however, everytime i try to install, it stops around 30% into it and says there were errors. exit code 7???
so i look it up online and do the many, many suggestions it says to offer a fix to the problem, but none of them worked. i emailed waccom about the issue, but have yet to recieve a reply yet. figured it might be better to come here and ask. and i did try the adobe support software thing. even that won't install on my computer. wondering if my computer just hates adobe products. anyways, this is what i get when trying to install:

Exit Code 6 and 7 are generic failures. Could you have a look at this document and run through the first 2 solutions and let us know if it helps.

I cannot get Elements 12 to recognise and load NEF files from my Nikon D5300. I have downloaded and installed the latest DNG coverter software 8.7.1 but Elements still refuses to load any NEF files.

Hi,
You shouldn't need to use the DNG converter unless you are using the MAC app version. The D5300 should be supported by Camera Raw 8.3 which should be compatible with Photoshop Elements 12.
In the editor go to Help -> About Plug-in -> Camera Raw to see which version you have loaded. The latest for Photoshop Elements 12 is 8.5. If you have an older one then go to the Help menu and select Updates.
If you are up to date, then you may have use old Nikon software to access the NEF files and that is known to corrupt them so that Photoshop Elements can't read them.

How can I get a Mac to run a LabVIEW VI that was created for Windows? (it calls DLL files)

This is for a spectrometer. A motor controller is connected by serial and a lock-in amplifier is connected through GPIB. I have a Windows version of the VIs I need to get it all running, but I need to get it running on a Mac. The program was written in LabVIEW 6.0.1 and I have both version of 6.1. Is there a type of file that Mac uses that are similar to DLLs? Is this even possible? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can open the VIs on a PC or Mac and double click on the DLL node.
It will show you the parameter info, the function name, path to the DLL,
etc.
If you have the source code to the DLL, then make it on the mac using
the Metrowerks CodeWarrior compiler. If you don't have the source, then
you need to either shift to using diagram nodes exclusively or come up
with some other way of replacing the DLL.
For the details on compiling a DLL, you should look at your manual that
came with CodeWarrior and look at the CIN Manual or search online for
something ...
