How can I get Energy Saver to remain Unlocked?

For some time now (perhaps back to the days of Tiger) I have had a pesky lock that won't stay unlocked on Energy Saver. Under SL it would be locked every time the system booted up but, once unlocked, it would stay that way until the next system restart. This was one thing I was actually looking forward to being fixed (i.e., going away for good) when I moved to Mt. Lion. Sadly, it has gone from bothersome to worse — now, it relocks whenever I quit System Preferences, not just at System restart. Is there some way to get the lock on Energy Saver to stay unlocked?

Have you looked at the settings in System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Advanced? (In bottom right corner) There is an option that reads "Require an Administrator password to access locked preferences," and if this is unchecked, you should be able to leave the Energy Saver preferences unlocked.

How can I get that 'save open sites' option back?

Before I upgraded to V4.0.1, I could close firefox & it would save the sites that I had open at the time. But now it still asks if I want to close them, but I don't have the option to save them (so that they will open automatically the next time I open firefox). How can I get that 'save open sites' option back? .I have since tried to fic it by completely uninstalling firefox (including all settings & cookies) & then re-installing it, but I still don't have that feature available.

Firefox used to ask if I wanted to save my tabs when I exited. Now it does not and it closes everything. I don't want it to do that. How can I get my tabs to remain open? So far I'm really sorry I downloaded this version. Yuck!

in my program i'm dealing with several text files each has its own name
after doing some process on each i do save the output as output.txt
can i add the file name before or after the output.txt
i.e i want the name of the file to be part of the saved output
filenameOutput.txt
or
outputFilename.txt
any ideas?????

Just write it - somewhere in your code you have to have the file name anyway, or you couldn't write to that file.

After an update, my itunes library was moved to my music file. I tried moving the file (itunes library.itl) into itunes, it said that the file was locked. How can I get the file to be unlocked so it can be moved?

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

As of the current version, I don't believe there is a way to tell the App Store app to ignore updates. You can send Apple feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/, but in short there is nothing you can do. As long as you don't try to update the app (either pressing the update button or update all), the app should continue to work fine with your data remaining intact. It has been a while since I've tried to update an app that isn't supported (last time was under iOS 3 or 4), so I can't comment about what would happen if you did try to update it. Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

How can I get the "Open" and "Save As" dialog boxes to open at larger than their default size? I would like them to open at the size they were previously resized like they used to in previous operating systems. They currently open at a very small size and the first colum is only a few letters wide necessitating a resize practically every time one wants to use it. Any help would be appreciated.
